Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(07):-
Objective To assess the value of intheleukin-6 (IL-6) in early diagnosis of children with acute lower respiratory tract bacterium infection . Methods Serum IL-6 levels of 85 children with acute lower respiratory tract infection were detected by ELISA and c-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cells (WBC), ploymorphonuclear (PMN) were measured in acute phase. Results When indices above were judged independently ,the reliability of IL-6 was highest with its sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPv), negative predictive value (NPV) and Youden’s index being 84% ,94% ,93% ,87% and 0.78 respectively .While united tests were used , diagnosis accuracy of IL-6 combining CRP was superior to classical indices (CRP,WBC,PMN). Conclusions The combination of IL-6 and CRP seems to be a valuable parameter in the early diagnosis of children with acute lower respiratory tract bacterium infection .

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1992;0(01):-
Objective To study the route of branches of the internal iliac artery for presenting basic applied anatomy to be used in pelvic tumor diagnosis and interventional therapy through angiographic manifestations. Methods The branches of the internal iliac artery were studied by means of dissection on 45 adult cadavers(30 male, 12 female), including the origin, length, external diameter and bifurcation angle; and additionally angiographic characteristics of pelvic tumors in 42 cases together with normal ones of another 50 cases through bilateral selective internal iliac arteriography. Results①The angle between left and right common iliac artery was (58.9??7.3?),and that between the external and internal iliac artery was (27.6??5.3?). Iliolumbar artery and obturator artery were mainly originated from the main trunk of internal iliac artery and the distal portion (50%, 84.8%).②The external diameter of the branches of the internal iliac artery measured on cadavers was significantly smaller than that on patients alive. Conclusions Normal variations occur frequently in the origination, site of orifice and route of the middle and small branches of the internal iliac artery.

Objective To observe and compare the anti-angiogenic effect of sorafenib, unfractionated heparin(UFH)and low molecular weight heparin (LMWH), singly used or in combination, with chick chorioallantoic membrane assay. Methods Sixty 8d-developed chick embryos were randomly divided into 6 groups (10 each): control group, sorafenib group, UFH group, LMWH group, sorafenib+UFH group, and sorafenib+LMWH group. Drugs were given respectively and incubation continued. The dosage of drugs for each embryo was 20 nmol of sorafenib, 5U of UFH and 5U of LMWH, respectively, and H-DMEM was applied to the embryo in control group in the same volume (2?l). After continuing incubation for another 72h, the anti-angiogenic effect in each group was observed and the vascular number in the chick chorioallantoic membrane was counted. Results Vascular number in single drug groups (sorafenib group: 8.9?1.9; UFH group: 7.6?2.3; LMWH group: 6.9?1.3) was significantly smaller than that in the control group (26.8?2.3, P
