1.Progress on Notch signaling pathway in the B-cell malignancies
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2012;21(7):439-441
The Notch signaling pathway is a highly conserved classical developmental pathway, which plays a critical role in cell-fate decision by modulating proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. There is increasing evidence that abnormal Notch pathway is correlated with occurrence and development of many tumors. Notch signaling plays dual roles in a wide range of B-cell malignancies. It serves as either an oncogene or a tumor suppressor. Notch signaling pathway may be a novel target for B-cell malignancies therapy.
2.Treatment progress of primary light-chain amyloidosis
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2021;30(1):11-13
Primary light-chain (AL) amyloidosis is a rare, fatal and clonal plasma cell dyscrasia. The bortezomib-based treatment has improved the survival of AL amyloidosis patients, but the prognosis of advanced patients is still poor. More effective novel agents are urgently needed. At the 62nd American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting, the clinical data of a variety of new drugs (such as anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody, bcl-2 inhibitor combined with statins and CAEL-101, etc.) were reported.
3.Positron emission tomography in the management of Hodgkin lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2012;21(1):16-18
Accurate imaging of lymphoma is essential for optimal management. Positron emission tomography(PET-CT),by providing both anatomic and functional information,is fundamentally altering staging, monitoring of response, response assessment, and choice of treatment modality for lymphomas, including Hodgkin lymphoma. This imaging technique, when used carefully in conjunction with standard testing, increases the sensitivity of lesion detection, provides an opportunity to monitor the quality of response during treatment, permits separation of fibronecrotic scartissue from viable tumor, and adds prognostic information.PET-CT has become integral to modern lymphoma management, but as a relatively new diagnostic technique,it is still being studied and neither its full potential nor its major limitations are fully understood. Discussed herein are recent observations from clinical trials and single-center experiences with PET-CT to explore its advantages and limitations from a clinician’ s point of view.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1996;0(02):-
Objective: To compare the biotype and genetic similarity between groups of commensal and pathogenic strains of candida species. Methods:Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) was used to analyse the type of Candida albicans. Results: 12 pathogenic isolates of Candida albicans, 3 commensal isolates of Candida abicans and 3 isolates of pathogenic non-albicans were obtained. The similarity coefficient of albicans with non-albicans was 51.7% by RAPD. Intra-candida similarity coefficient was more than 70%. Both the commensal and pathogenic isolates showed the genetically similar to C. albicans. Intro-isolate DNA polymorphism was observed by RAPD. Conclusion: Both the commensal and pathogenic groups contain a major cluster of genetically similar C. albicans isolates.

Objective To investigate the correlation between TIP 30 and VEGF-C expression and clini-cophathological characteristics in resected small cell lung cancer ( SCLC) patients and to identify patients with in-creased risk of cancer recurrence and to provide a theoretical basis for the further clinical prevention of SCLC . Methods Sixty eight resected SCLC patients were included in this study .Paraffin-embedded specimens of pa-tients were used for the evaluation of TIP 30 and VEGF-C expression by immunohistochemistry .Results The expression of VEGF-C had positive correlation with lymph node metastasis .TIP30 expression was positively cor-related with VEGF-C expression.Patients with low TIP30 expression had shorter Overall survival (OS)and Dis-ease-Free survival(DFS)than those with high TIP30 expression.OS and DFS of the patients with VEGF -C-positive tumors were significantly lower than that of the patients with VEGF -C negative tumors .The multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that low TIP 30 and high VEGF-C expression were independent markers of poor OS(P<0.01)in operable SCLC patients. Conclusion The expression of VEGF -C shows positive correlation with lymph node metastasis .Low TIP30 and high VEGF -C expression are independent prognostic markers of poor overall survival in resected SCLC patients .

AIM To set up the model of stom- effects of its treatment drugs. METHODS To ap-ach smooth muscle cells contraction and assess the ply the culture of isolated stomach fundus smooth muscle cells in rats in vitro and to obtain the mixture of stomach smooth muscle cells. The cells were examined with the Trypan blue dilution technology under microscope and the length of cells and the contraction rate of muscle cells were adopted to the evaluation index of effects. The change of cells in different time was observed and calculating the survival rate and time of cells. The selected neuro-medium and its antagonist, such as acetyl-choline chloride (ACh) and atropine, 5-HT and domperidone(Domp) , histamine( His) and diphen-hydramine(Diph) were added to the mixture cells so as to provoke irritant reaction observe the effects of drugs. RESULTS Obtaining cells in stomach fundus smooth muscle was more than 1 X 106 in each rat by this way, and the survival rate and time of cells was 95% and 2. 5 h. The contraction of cells was observed after adding ACh 5-HT or His ,and the effects of these agents were antag- onized by antagonist atropine, Domp and Diph respectively. The effects of maximum contraction of ACh in concentration 1?10-8 mol ? L-1 was 38%, and in 5-HT may exist two receptors, and the maximum rate was 20. 7% and 10. 5% respectively. The effective dose of contraction was 1 X 10-13 -1?10-10 mol ? L-1 induced by His, the contraction effects was significantly weakened in high of 1 ?10-10 mol ? L-1 and antagonized by Diph. CONCLUSION The smooth muscle cells by digesting stomach fundus smooth muscle of rats would be more than 95% survivors and survival time was more than 2. 5 h. ACh,5-HT and His could induce the contraction of smooth muscle cells, and the effects of contraction were antagonized by atropine, Domp and Diph respectively.
