Objective To assess the schistosomiasis endemic situation in the national surveillance sites in Hubei Province, so as to provide the evidence for the prevention and control of schistosomiasis. Methods According to the national surveillance protocol,a longitudinal surveillance of endemic situation of schistosomiasis was carried out in 16 national surveillance sites from 2005 to 2010. Results In general, the positive rates of IHA,Kato-Katz technique and infection rates of Schistosoma japonicum decreased from 15.67%,10.93%and 1.71%in 2005 to 10.48%,8.54%and 0.90%in 2010,and declined by 33.12%,22.70%and 47.95%,respectively. The infection rates of S. japonicum of the male were higher than that of the female, and the peak infec-tion rates were in the groups aged above 30 years. The endemic situation of fishermen and farmers were relatively serious. The in-fection rates of S. japonicum in cattle decreased from 11.69%in 2005 to 1.41%in 2010,and declined by 88.01%(χ2 =298.79, P<0.001). The areas with infected Oncomelania hupensis snails, the densities of living snails, the rates of infected snails and the densities of infected snails decreased by 90.88%,61.66%,80.00%and 92.00%,respectively. Conclusion The schistosomiasis endemic situation in the national surveillance sites in Hubei Province mitigates in 6 years, but the prevention is still a very daunt-ing task.

Objective To analyze the change of schistosomiasis endemic situation in Hubei Province, 2008. Methods The data of schistosomiasis control in the whole province, surveillance sites and standard examinations were collected and analyzed. Results Among all the 63 endemic counties (cities, districts), 21 reached the criteria of transmission interruption, 19 reached the criteria of transmission control, and 23 reached the criteria of infection control in 2008. Villages of Category Three, Category Four and Category Five accounted for 52.10% , 27.80% and 20.09% of all the endemic villages in the whole province, respectively. The infection rates of population and cattle were 1. 70% and 2. 20% , which decreased by 27. 04% and 34. 33% when comparing to those in 2007. The snail area was 77 363 hm~2, with a reduction of 315.70 hm~2 comparing to 2007. In the 74 provincial surveillance sites, the infection rate of population and cattle were 1. 32% and 1. 85% , respectively, with reduction rates of 32.99% and 68.38% comparing to 2007. The snail area was 2 833.98 hm~2 and the area with infected snails was 215.35 hm~2, the densities of living and infected snails were 0. 37 snails/0.1 m~2 and 0.000 3 snails/0. 1 m~2, respectively, and the infection rate of snails was 0.08%. Comparing to 2007, the snail area, densities of living and infected snails and the infection rate of snails decreased by 3.81 % , 21.28% , 40.00% and 27. 30% , respectively, while the area with infected snails increased by 4.52%. The results of standard examination suggested that all the 15 uncontrolled counties ( cities, districts) reached the criteria of infection control. Conclusions Though the endemic situation of schistosomiasis in Hubei Province has been controlled effectively, the endemic condition is still severe. Therefore, the comprehensive measures with an emphasis on infectious source control should be strengthened to consolidate the control result.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(17):2348-2351
OBJECTIVE:To explore the clinical related factors of leucopenia induced by azathioprine in the treatment of inflam-matory bowel disease (IBD). METHODS:Clinical information of 114 IBD patients were collected from our hospital during Jan. 2013-Mar. 2015. Steady concentration of AZA metabolite 6-thioguanine(6-TGNs)in red blood cell was determined by HPLC. The correlation of patient’s gender, age, diseases,AZA daily dose and blood concentration of 6-TGNs with leucopenia induced by AZA were investigated. The optimal critical value of leucopenia could be predicted with ROC curves. RESULTS:Among 114 IBD patients,40 patients suffered from leucopenia(35.1%). There was no statistical significance in the proportion of leucopenia among patients with different age, gender, diseases and AZA daily dose(P>0.05). There was statistical significance in the proportion of leucopenia among patients with different concentrations of 6-TGNs(P<0.05). Mean blood concentration of 6-TGNs in leukopenia patients [(407.82±262.88)pmol/(8×108)RBC] was higher than patients with normal leukocyte level [(275.85±118.37)pmol/(8× 108)RBC],with statistical significance(P<0.05). ROC curve predicted that the optimal critical value of leucopenia was blood con-centration of 6-TGNs>291.04 pmol/(8 × 108)RBC. CONCLUSIONS:AZA induced leucopenia may be related to the concentration of 6-TGNs in red blood cell of IBD patients, and high concentration of 6-TGNs is risk factors of leucopenia. Clinicians can provide AZA individual treatment for IBD patient to reduce the occurrence of leucopenia according to routine blood test and the concentra-tion of 6-TGNs.

Objective:To investigate the characteristics of lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood of patients with immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and the correlation between T helper 17 cell (Th17)/regulatory T cells (Treg) cell imbalance and cytokines. Methods:A total of 31 patients with IgG4-RD who were admitted to the Rheumatology and Immunology Department of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2016 to June 2020 were included. We collected their clinical and laboratory data, and selected 30 age and sex matched healthy people as the control group. Flow cytometry was used to detect the percentage and absolute number of lymphocyte subsets [T, B, natural killer cell (NK), CD4 +T, CD8 +T] and CD4 +T subsets [Th1, Th2, Th17, CD4 +CD25 +forkhead box protein 3 (Foxp3) +Treg] in peripheral blood of IgG4-RD patients and healthy controls. The serum interleukin (IL)-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interferon (IFN)-γ levels in the IgG4-RD patients were measured by cytometric bead array (CBA). Correlation between Th17/Treg ratio and disease-related indicators was also analyzed. We used χ2 test, Mann-Whitney U test and Spearman correlation analysis for statistical analysis. Results:① The percentage of CD4 +T cells in the peripheral blood of IgG4-RD patients was higher than that of healthy controls [45.00%(33.97%, 51.48%) vs 39.36%(33.78%, 43.30%), Z=-2.142, P<0.05]. ② The percentage and absolute number of Th17 cells was increased in IgG4-RD patients [1.13%(0.70%, 1.55%) vs 0.77%(0.43%, 1.07%), Z=-2.229, P<0.05; 7.90(5.20, 12.23) cells/μl vs 5.60(3.12, 8.47) cells/μl, Z=-2.568, P<0.05], while the percentage of Treg cells was decreased [3.37%(2.82%, 5.65%) vs 4.96%(4.18%, 6.34%), Z=-2.986, P<0.01]. But the number of Treg cells showed no difference between the two groups. ③ Th17/Treg ratio was significantly increased in IgG4-RD patients [0.29(0.16, 0.46) vs 0.15(0.08, 0.23), Z=-3.119, P<0.01], and it was positively correlated with IgG4-RD response index score ( r=0.491, P<0.01). ④ Serum IL-6 [13.72(9.29, 26.06) pg/ml vs 2.23(1.94, 3.10) pg/ml, Z=-4.815, P<0.01], IL-10 [5.46(4.28, 15.38) pg/ml vs 1.81(1.59, 2.02) pg/ml, Z=-5.298, P<0.01], TNF-α [4.25(1.47, 7.26) pg/ml vs 1.15(1.05, 1.45) pg/ml, Z=-3.146, P<0.01] and IFN-γ [3.89(1.76, 6.61) pg/ml vs 1.41(1.24, 1.65) pg/ml, Z=-3.172, P<0.01] in IgG4-RD group were significantly higher than those in healthy control group. Moreover, Th17/Treg ratio was negatively correlated with IL-2 level ( r=-0.554, P<0.05). Conclusion:Th17/Treg disorder exists in IgG4-RD patients, and it is related to disease activity, indicating that Th17/Treg imbalance may be an important mechanism in IgG4-RD. IL-2 plays an important role in regulating Th17/Treg balance and may be a potential immunotherapy target in future.
