1.Analysis of the curative effect and safety of estrogen as an adjunctive treatment of senile vaginitis
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2014;33(8):891-893
Objective To analyze the curative effect and safety of the estrogen as an adjunctive treatment of senile vaginitis. Methods 100 patients with senile vaginitis in our hospital from June 2011 to September 2012 were divided into observation group (n =50) and control group (n =50).Observation group was given estrogen plus metronidazole and control group was given metronidazole only. Results 45 cases were cured and 4 cases had effective treatment in observation group, and 21 cases were cured and 17 cases had effective treatment in control group. The efficacy rate was 98.0% (49 cases)in observation group versus 76.0%(38 cases) in control group (x2=11.50,P<0.01).After the treatment, the recurrence rate was 6.1% (3 cases)and 26.3 % (10 cases)in observation and control groups respectively (x2 =10.66,P<0.05).After treatment, vaginal health scores, symptom scores of vaginitis, and vaginal PH were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (all P<0.05).In addition, the improvements of signs and symptoms were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (all P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in adverse reaction rate between the two groups (P> 0.05).Conclusions Estrogen as an adjunctive treatment of senile vaginitis has better curative effect and safety. It is worthy of generalization in clinical medicine.
2.Progresses of genetic susceptibility in pathogenesis of viral myocarditis
International Journal of Pediatrics 2015;42(3):304-307
The pathogenesis of viral myocarditis is still not fully understood so far. However, the viral damage to the myocardial cells directly and immune-mediated injury of the myocardium have been a consensus. In recent years, the genetic susceptibility in the pathogenesis of viral myocarditis has attracted more and more attention. This review summarizes the research progress of the genetic susceptibility at home and abroad.
3.Research progress of hematopoietic stem cells location and its interaction with surrounding microenvironment
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2014;23(11):700-702
Homing and engraftment of transplanted hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) can directly influence the effect of the transplantation.Exploration on its spatial distribution, location and interaction with the bone marrow (BM) microenvironment is great significance.Since the BM cavity is closed and surrounded by thick compact bone,it makes a colossal challenge to track the transplanted HSCs in vivo directly.Recently, researchers used different innovative methods to observe the spatial distribution and interaction with the BM microenvironment of the transplanted HSCs.The present review summarized the progress in the HSCs transplantation.
4.Advances in research of microRNA and B-cell lymphoma
Cancer Research and Clinic 2015;27(4):277-280
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small single-stranded and non-coding RNAs that negatively regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level by degradation of target mRNA or inhibition of protein translation.Recent studies have shown that miRNAs play important roles in human diseases. It is of great importance to explore the role of miRNAs in the pathogenesis, early diagnosis and new therapeutic strategies of a variety of malignant tumors, including B-cell lymphoma. This review described the biosynthesis of miRNAs,the mechanisms of miRNAs target regulation and the involvement of miRNAs in the initiation and progression of human cancers, and summarized the role of miRNAs in B-cell lymphoma.
5.Improving the adverse cardiovascular prognosis of type 2 diabetes
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2001;14(1):60-64
Insulin resistance is the fundamental defect of type 2 diabetes and often leads to hyperinsulinemia, which is associated with atherosclerosis and cardiovascular events. A multidisciplinary approach involving multifaceted therapeutic strategies is necessary to reduce cardiovascular events and to improve prognosis in these patients. The purpose of this review is to outline proven and promising therapeutic strategies for improving the long-term cardiovascular prognosis of patients with type 2 diabetes.
6.Advance of the relationship between Th17 and autoimmune diseases
International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(3):298-300
Th17 is a CD4+ T cell subset that is a new member of Th1 and tH2.Recent studies have shown that it products IL-17A,IL-17F,IL-21 and IL-22,which play an imoortant role in rheumatoid arthritis.systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, inflammatory howel disease.autoimmune myocarditis and other autoimmune diseases.Deepen the understanding of Th17 and Th17 production in the advancement of autoimmune diseases will provide a new basis for future diagnosis.Th17 will become a new target for the treatment of human autoimmune diseases.
7.The genetic basis of coronary artery lesions in Kawasaki disease
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(5):487-490
Kawasaki disease (KD) is an acute systemic vasculitis and its main life-threatening complications are coronary artery lesions(CAL), including coronary artery stenosis, thrombosis, aneurysm rupture, or sudden death. KD has now surpassed acute rheumatic fever as the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children. Therefore, it is important to identify as early as possible KD patients who are at risk for the development of CAL and intervent them timely. Genetic factors are thought to have important influences on the development and progress of Kawasaki disease and its CAL. In previous reports, several genetic polymorphisms, such as VEGF, MMPs and CD14 gene, were associated with the development of CAL. This review will introduce the study of gene polymorphisms in susceptibility to CAL in children with KD recently.
8.Ribozymes and deoxyribozymes in targeted cancer therapy
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(12):889-892
In recent years, with the introduction of novel vectors capable of highly efficient transduction ,ribozymes and dexyribozymes have been become an ideal approach to anticancer therapy due to their high efficiency and lack of severe adverse effects. As many high efficiency targets have been found for cancer therapy, targeted therapy using ribozymes and deoxyribozymes may have multiple effects such as induction of tumor apoptosis and inhibition of tumor growth, metastasis, and angiogenesis.
9.GABAA receptors and fragile X syndrome
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(6):637-640
Fragile X syndrome is a common cause of inherit mental retardation,GABAA receptors are the major inhibitory neurotransmitter receptros in the mammalian central nervous system, implicated in anxiety, depression, epilepsy, sleeping problem, learning and memory, and so on. Several researches indicated that the GABAergic system, in particular the GABAA receptors might be related to the phenotype of fragile X syndrome. An altered expression of certain subunits of the GABAA receptors may cause the neurological and behavioural changes of the fragile X syndrome. Therefore, the GABAA receptors can be a novel therapeutic target for treatment of fragile X syndrome.
