Objective To study the effect of carbonated drinks on primary and permanent teeth replacement in Chil-dren. Method Dog tooth enamel samples were soaked in coca-cola, sprite and pure soda, and the calcium, phosphorus lev-el were analysed. Dental papilla stem cells were separated and cultured in the conditioned medium by adding three drinks. PCR and western blot were used to detect mRNA and protein levels of activator of nuclear factor-k B receptor ligand (RANKL), osteoprotegerin (OPG) and vitamin D receptor (VDR) , then the possible role of each gene and interactions rela-tionship were analyzed. Results Compared with saline, coca-cola and sprite showed their significantly decalcification and dephosphorization role, while plain soda water showed calcium and phosphorus protective effect. These three drinks had no effect on mRNA and protein levels of RANKL gene (P>0.05). Coca-cola and sprite can reduce OPG mRNA and protein lev-els, and at the same time increase transcription and expression of the VDR gene. Plain soda water has no effect on the OPG gene manifestation, but can significantly reduce the transcription and translation level of the VDR gene. Conclusion Car-bonated drinks may affect the dental health of the children's primary and permanent teeth replacement by regulating bone re-lated gene expression and vitamin D receptor family.

Objective To study the functional roles of 1,25(OH)2D3 in osteogenic differentiation of the dental papilla stem cells. Methods The dental papilla stem cells were isolated and cultured in medium supplemented with different con-centrations of 1,25(OH)2D3 (1, 10 and 100 nmol/L). MTT assay was used to detect the cell growth, and flow cytometry was used to detect the cell cycle. Western blot assay was used to detect protein expression levels of receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL), osteoprotegerin (OPG) and vitamin D receptor (VDR). After siRNA silencing VDR expression, protein levels of RANKL and OPG were detected. Results MTT and flow cytometry results showed that there were no sig-nificant differences in the cell proliferation between different concentrations of 1,25(OH)2D3 (1, 10 and 100 nmol/L) and con-trol groups (P>0.05). Western blot results showed that there were protein expressions of VDR, RANKL and OPG in control group. The protein expressions of VDR, RANKL and OPG were increased after adding 1,25(OH)2D3, in which the upward trend was the most significant in VDR. After VDR expression was silenced by siRNA, the protein expression levels of VDR, RANKL and OPG were decreased. Conclusion 1,25(OH) 2D3 affects the osteoblast differentiation process of the dental pa-pilla stem cells by adjusting the VDR expression.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2019;40(12):1820-1823
Objective:
To understand relationship between health literacy and health seeking behavior of undergraduate students in Shandong Province.
Methods:
A total of 1 460 undergraduate students from three universities in Shandong Province were selected through stratified random sampling method and received a questionnaire survey. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, Chi-square test and regression analysis.
Results:
The proportion of students with basic health literacy was 64.4% (41.37±10.34). The proportion of students with basic knowledge and concept, healthy lifestyle and behavior, and basic skills was 49.6% (16.28±4.58), 70.3% (17.24±4.99) and 83.7% (7.85±1.58), respectively. About 28.1% of undergraduate students reported delay in seeking medical treatment, 71.9% reported prompt in seeking medical treatment, and 24.2% preferred to seek medical treatment in primary medical institutions, 45.5% secondary hospital and 30.3% tertiary hospital. Grade, major, the ability to gather and understand health information was the main factors affecting health literacy. Major and health information screening ability was the main factors affecting health seeking behavior. Grade, major, origin, the awareness and gathering of health information was the main factors affecting the choose of medical institutions(P<0.05). Basic knowledge and concept, basic skills and health literacy was positively correlated with the timing of health seeking behavior, while basic knowledge and concept, healthy lifestyle and behavior, and basic skills might give information on students’ preference on selecting a medical institution.
Conclusion
Attention should be paid to the cultivation of health information literacy. An integrated health education and health promotion model of "family-community-hospital-university" should be established.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2005;25(6):636-638,654
The relationship between angiogenesis and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (EIF4E) expression level in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) was studied. Mean microvessel density (MVD) and EIF4E were detected in 52 lymph node samples paraffin sections of patients with newly diagnosed NHL by the way of immunohistochemistry. Antisense EIF4E cDNA was cloned into plasmid pcDNA3.1 (+) and transfected into Raji cells. A series of angiogenesis related factors, including vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), matrix metalloproteinases 9 (MMP-9)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 (TIMP-2) proteins were detected by Western blot. The results showed that: (1) The Expression of EIF4E and MVD was higher in aggressive lymphomas than in indolent lymphomas(P<0.05)and the expression of EIF4E was positively correlated with MVD in lymph node of NHL(r=0. 695, P<0.01). (2) Antisense EIF4E eukaryocytic expression vector (pcDNA3.1-EIF4Eas) was constructed successfully. (3) EIF4E, VEGF and MMP-9 were expressed at high levels in Raji cells as compared to normal human peripheral blood monocular cells ( NHPMC), and blockage of EIF4E expression brought down the expression of VEGF and MMP-9.However, TIMP-2 was undetectable in Raji cells, although a moderate level of TIMP-2 was detected in NHPMC. It was concluded that the increased EIF4E expression was associated with aggressive property of NHL.

Objective:
To investigate the effect of AKT1 deSUMOylation induced by Ubc9 silencing on the proliferation and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells.
Methods:
The Ubc9 gene was silenced using RNA interference, and the expression levels of Ubc9, SUMO1 and AKT1 protein were detected by Western blot. Cell proliferation and cell cycle was analyzed by MTT and flow cytometry. Wound healing and transwell assays were used to detect the cell migration ability. Furthermore, the xenograft model was established, and tumor growth curves were drawn. The in situ apoptotic rates was measured using TUNEL Apoptosis Assay. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 were evaluated by immunohistochemical staining.
Results:
Knockdown of Ubc9 gene significantly decreased the protein expression levels of Ubc9, conjugated SUMO1, free SUMO1 and AKT1 in HCC cells (
