Objective:To study the sintering character of calcium-deficient apatite.Methods:Calcium-deficient apatite synthesised by wet chemical method was sintered at different temperature and then its chemical composition, phase structure and morphology were examined by FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning microscopy (FESEM) respectively. Results:When the heating temperature is below 500 ℃, apatite crystal kept a stable size with a diameter of 12-26 nm and a length of 30-66 nm. After sintered at 600 ℃ for 2 h, apatite crystal were with a diameter of 25-40 nm and a length of 75-100 nm. Around 800 ℃ for 2 h, apatite was decomposed into Ca_3(PO_4)_2.The crystal size of the Ca_3(PO_4)_2 surpassed 200 nm in diameter and length. NH_4+ ion could be removed at temperature beyond 300 ℃.Conclusion: Calcium-deficient apatite has it's specific sintering character.

AIM: To establish the method of fingerprinting analysis onZedoary turmeric oil by GC. Zedoary turmeric oil for the quality control of reference. METHODS: GC method was used to determine the fingerprint and its similarity of Zedoary turmeric oil calculated on Excel and cluster analysis. RESULTS: Seventeen samples of Zedoary turmeric oil indicated that there was a little similarity among them. Based on the cluster analysis, all the Zedoary turmeric oils could be divided into two categories, self-made and market purchasing oil, the latter oils purchased from Liaoning province and Jiangsu province varied considerably. Every category had a common fingerprint mode with clear resemblance. CONCLUSION: When finding the difference between the self-made and the marketpurchasing Zedoary turmeric oil, quality control requires serious consideration.

Children allergic rhinitis, referred to as children allergic rhinitis (AR), is a kind of non-infectious inflammation of the nasal mucosa mediated by IgE with the main symtoms of paroxysmal sneezing, rhinorrhoea, nasal itching and nasal obstruction when the susceptible individuals contact the allergen. It is a high reaction disease of the respiratory mucosa common with childhood, which has serious implications to the Children's quality of life, study, rest and growth. The global sampling survey reveals that the morbidity is about 14%, of which 10% in our country and there is an upward trend year by year. At present, drug therapy is still one of the most important methods for children AR. Definite diagnosis, standardized drug therapy and the development of new specific immune therapy make children AR in a good control . This review updates the diagnosis and treatment for children AR, referring to the newest guide by WHO about allergic rhinitis and its impact on asthma (ARIA).

By studying of the pathology of human sleep and respiration disorder diseases, the method of sleep and respiration measurement, the evaluation index, a kind of micro sleep monitor and evaluation system was designed. Based on the methods of spectrum absorption and force changing, using high performance pulse oxygen saturation monitoring technology and respiration monitoring technology, developing a low-cost, high usability sleep monitor system which is convenience for family using. It can measure the signal of human oxygen saturation and chest respiration, can improve the quality of signal and reliable from arithmetic and sensor installing.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2014;38(4):240-250
In the bioelectric measurement, the electrode impedance detection is an important index to the signal quality evaluation and sensor electrode contact condition. In this paper, a method of accurately measuring the electrode impedance based on EEG measurement system was put forward, the method is based on the constant current source excitation signals which are added to the human body, by monitoring the human voltage to measure the electrode impedance. And different reference resistor calibration calculation in different sections was used to reduce the effect of constant current source on the precision of measurement results to improve the measurement accuracy.

Objective To observe blood glucose values and serum insulin levels at different times after acupoint injection of insulin with PVP as a sustained release agent and analyze the correlation between them in SD Rats. Methods One hundred and forty-four male SD rats were randomized into groups A (acupoint injection of insulin alone), B (acupoint injection of sustained-release insulin) and C (control). At one hour after every group received an oral gavage of 40% glucose solution (2.2 g/kg), groups A and B were given point Zusanli injection and group C was not treated. In the three groups of rats, blood glucose values and serum insulin levels were measured at six time points: 0.5, 3, 6, 8, 10 and 24 hours after acupoint injection (in group C at the corresponding time points). In every group, the reaction of Point Zusanli region to the stimulation was observed by optical microscopy in at three time points: 3, 10 and 24 hours after acupoint injection. Results The glucose-lowering rate reached its peak at 3 hours after acupoint injection and then declined in groups A and B. The hypoglycemic effect tended to be stable at 6 hours after acupoint injection in group A and at 10 hours after acupoint injection in group B. The hypoglycemic effect was better in group B than in group A at 6 and 8 hours after acupoint injection (P<0.01). In group A, serum insulin reached its peak at 3 hours and tended to be stable at 6 hours after acupoint injection (P<0.05). Serum insulin levels were significantly lower in group B than in group A at four time pints: 0.5, 3, 6 and 8 hours after acupoint injection (P<0.05). An analysis of the correlation between rat serum insulin levels and the glucose-lowering rate showed a significant positive correlation in group A (P<0.01) and a low positive correlation in group B (P<0.05). In groups A and B of rats, clear stripes and complete structure of muscle fibers were seen with no obvious degeneration, necrosis and inflammatory reaction around point Zusanli at three time points: 3, 8 and 24 hours after acupoint injection; there were no obvious pathological changes compared with group C.Conclusions PVP as a sustained release agent can slow down the absorption rate of insulin in rat point Zusanli region. Meanwhile, it prolongs the continuous time of the hypoglycemic effect of insulin. There is a low correlation between serum insulin levels and the hypoglycemic effect, suggesting that acupoint injection with a sustained release agent can prolong the effect of acupoint injection of medicine.

OBJECTIVE:To construct a high-efficiency, high-performance, low-cost flow of drug purchasing. METHODS: The defects involved in the current drug purchasing flowsheet prevalent in many hospitals were analyzed and the optimized flowsheet was put into practice by combining the actuality of our hospital. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The traditional drug purchasing modality can not meet the requirement of current hospitals in that it involves large work load and high probability of error, and it is tedious and time-consuming. The establishment of drug catalog database and the online drug purchase by means of instant communication software can help simplify drug purchase flow, lessen work load, enhance work efficiency, and effectuate a high-efficiency, high-performance, low-cost flow of drug purchasing.

OBJECTIVE:To explore an emergency drug supply mechanism for women and children’s special hospital during earthquake disaster. METHODS: The practice of drug supply in our hospital after "5?12" Wenchuan earthquake was analyzed. RESULTS: The daily and post-earthquake medicine supply of the hospital was guaranteed, including the drugs which supply to the medical treatment rescues team in the disaster area;and the principle and approach of emergency drug supply in women and children's special hospital during earthquake disaster has been established. CONCLUSIONS: The emer-gency drug supply in women and children’s special hospital should cover drugs used for wounded women and children in addition to those special drugs used for earthquake injuries. All the links including drug plan, drug purchase, quantity monitoring and drugs needed for rescue should be considered in detail to form a fast and smooth hospital emergency drug supply mechanism.
