1.The effect of butyl phthalide in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction and its influence on serum MCP-1 and vWF

Objective To study the relationship of serum monocyte chemotactic factor 1 ( MCP-1) and von willebrand factor (vWF) in patients with acute cerebral infarction and the therapeutic effect of butyl phthalide soft capsule.Methods As the research subjects,160 patients of acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups,80 cases in the observation group,80 cases in the control group.80 cases of healthy physical examination in our hospital were enrolled as the healthy group.The treatment control group was given conventional treatment,treat-ment observation group on the basis of conventional treatment combined with butyl phthalide soft capsule,0.2g orally, three times a day.They were treated for three months.Serum MCP-1 and vWF were detected.Results Before treat-ment,serum MCP-1 and vWF in the observation group and the control group were significantly higher than those in the healthy group(P<0.01).Before treatment,the serum MCP-1 was (480.2 ±34.2)pg/mL,vWF was (2.70 ± 0.45)μg/L,serum MCP-1 and vWF was positively correlated(r=0.286 2,P<0.05).The two groups after treat-ment serum MCP-1 and vWF were significantly decreased,and compared with the control group,the decrease of ser-um vWF and MCP-1 in the observation group was more obvious(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum MCP-1 and vWF has obvious relationship in acute cerebral infarction,butyl phthalide soft capsule can significantly lower the serum con-centration.
2.Correlative study on thrombelastogram and hemorrhagic transformation after acute ischemic stroke

Objective To investigate the correlation between indexes of thrombelastogram (TEG) and hemorrhagic transformation (HT) after acute ischemic stroke.Methods The cases of acute ischemic stroke but not receiving early reperfusion therapy were recruited in our hospital from January to November 2016,and were divided into HT group and non-HT group.Their general clinical characteristics and TEG indexes were retrospectively analyzed,and comparison between two groups and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed.Results A total of 71 cases were enrolled and 11 of them were divided into HT group.The percentages of massive cerebral infarction and cardio-embolic stroke were significantly higher in HT group than those in non-HT group (P<0.05),whereas the levels of CI in HT group were significantly lower than thoes in non-HT group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that massive cerebral infarction (OR=13.172,95%CI:1.414-122.671) and CI(OR=0.554,95%CI:0.321-0.956) were independently correlated with HT(P<0.05).Conclusion CI is independently correlated with HT after acute ischemic stroke,and may be a potential predictor of HT.

Background:Personality characters will influence the future career planning and development of medical students.Therefore,it will be important in the field of medical education to survey their personalities.Study design:The personality questionnaire was developed according to the Big-Five characters.The content validity and consistent reliability were assessed.A total of 124 undergraduate medical students participated in this 44-item self-evaluation about their personalities.Results:The inter-item consistency reliabilities of the 44-items of Big-Five personality questionnaire were analyzed and discordant items were deleted(Crobach's Alpha from 0.484~0.782 before selection to 0.67~0.82 after selection).The content validity of this five dimensions ranged from 0.8 to 0.9(P
4.Effect of Air Sterilization with Solution of Camphor Leaves

OBJECTIVE To study the possibility of air sterilization with solution of camphor leaves. METHODS Every six adjacent sickrooms that had same volume from 9 different clinical sectors were randomly selected for testing.Air of all sickrooms were sterilized by atomizing with solution of camphor leaves that was rough made by boiling and filtering and by direct irradiating with ultraviolet ray respectively.And then screened the sterilization effect of two methods respectively by air culture. RESULTS After sterilization with 100% solution of camphor leaves,all sickrooms were in line with standard of class Ⅲ(500 CFU/m~3),and 70% sickrooms were in line with class Ⅱ(200CFU/m~3).Both atomizing with solution of camphor leaves and direct irradiating with ultraviolet ray showed obvious effect,the result of air culture indicated that CFU of microorganisms were significant differrent between pre-sterilization and post-sterilization in both methods(P0.25). CONCLUSIONS Camphor leaves are very effective for sterilization and deserve to spread.
5.Establishment and application of digital picture library of tissue and cell ultrastructure

In order to help students understand and master the ultrastructure of the tissue and cells and provide teachers with rich picture resources and teaching materials, Department of Pathology of Jilin University collected and organized pictures of cell and tissue ultrastructure, and then selected typical ultra-structure pictures to carry on the classified annotation in accordance with organ systems to build the ultra structure electronic picture library. The electronic picture library can be used in biological electron micro-scope technique course, online courses establishment and students' autonomous learning.
6.Optimization of Macroporous Resin Purification Process for Total Flavonoids in Papaya

Objective:To optimize the macroporous resin separation process for total flavonoids in papaya. Methods:The content of total flavonoids in papaya was selected as the index, and the resin model, sample solution concentration, ratio of diameter and height, the flow rate of adsorption, type and volume of eluent, type and volume of impurity removing solvent, elution velocity and the other parameters were investigated. Results:The optimal purification process was as follows: the macroporous resin type was D-140, the sample solution concentration was 0. 1 g·ml-1 , the sample volume was 2BV, the ratio of diameter and height was 1∶9, washing the impurities with 3BV water, eluting with 3BV 10% ethanol first followed by 3BV 50% ethanol with 2BV·h-1 , and collecting 50%ethanol elution. The total flavonoids content was 52%. Conclusion:The optimized process can separate and purify the total flavonoids in papaya effectively.
7.Application of Site-Rite 5 ultrasound-guided instrument in puncturing of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ veins

Objective To investigate the effect of Site-Rite 5 vascular ultrasound on puncturing of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ veins.Methods Purposive sampling was used and 59 patients with grade Ⅱ and iⅢ veins to receive peripheral intravenous catheteration (PIV) were divided into observation group and control group according to the different wards:30 patients in the observation group and 29 in the control group.The control group received indwelling PIV by routine method and in the observation group,the patients' veins were assessed by Site-Rite 5 ultrasound-guided instrument and marked,followed by puncturing with PIV.The two groups were compared in terms of one-time success rate and incidence of complications.Results The one-time success rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group.There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups (P >0.05).Conclusions By the Site-Rite 5 ultrasound-guided instrument,the invisible veins become visible.It is beneficial to improve the success rate of puncturing.
8.Newly interrupted techniques and procedures to prevent gastric cancer cells dissemination in the radical resection of gastric cancer

Background and purpose:Inadequate surgical operation of gastric cancer may cause introgenic tumor cell dissemination and peritoneal seeding.This study introduced a new technique of the interrupted procedure to prevent gastric cancer cells dissemination in the radical resection of gastric cancer.Methods:Patients received gastric interrupted procedure employing the use of gastric interrupted forceps in the carcinoma of antrum,gastric body or cardia.The interrupted effect,complicated nature of the procedure and the preliminary result of CK19 mRNA expression in the portal blood by RT-PCR techniques of the interrupted group and the routine operation group were analyzed.Results:All the patients were successfully interrupted in the gastric operation,but there were some differences in the detailed procedure between the carcinoma of antrum,gastric body and cardia.Special attention should be given to the prevention of spleen scrape via the interrupted forceps,and to the posterior gastric trauma in case there is adhesion between the stomach and pancreas.Nine patients (9/17) of the routine operation group have positive portal blood CK19 mRNA expression whereas all 17 patients have negative portal blood CK19 mRNA expression in the interrupted group.Conclusion:The interrupted procedure is an easy,useful and safe method of manipulating and to preventing a large amount of gastric cancer cells from disseminating in the portal blood during the radical operation of gastric cancer.
9.Effect of active cycle of breathing techniques on respiratory complications in post-operative lung cancer patients

Objective To evaluate the effects of active cycle of breathing techniques (ACBT) on respiratory complications of postoperative lung cancer patients. Methods One hundred non-small-cell lung cancer patients who underwent pulmonary lobectomy or segmentectomy in thoracic surgery department from April 2012 to January 2014 were assigned into the control group , while the experiment group were paired patients from February 2014 to December 2014. We applied ACBT to the experiment group for 5 days after surgical resection and afterward compared the two groups in view of incidence of respiratory complications . Result The incidences of pulmonary infection, atelectasis and hypoxemia in the experiment group were all significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion ACBT strengthens endurance and force of patients′respiratory muscle group, and therefore reduces postoperative pulmonary complications.

AIM:To investigate the effects of atorvastatin reloading in pre-percutaneous coronary intervention ( PCI) period on endothelial progenitor cell ( EPC) count and inflammatory cytokine expression in the stable angina pectoris patients who had previously received long-term statin treatment.METHODS:The patients with stable angina pectoris that had received long-term statin therapy and planned to accept PCI were randomized into 3 groups:80 mg atorvastatin 12 h and 40 mg 2 h before coronary angioplasty (80 mg reloading), pre-operatively with 40 mg/d atorvastatin for 7 d (40 mg re-loading) , and without atorvastatin reloading ( no reloading ) .CD45 -/CD133+/CD34 +, CD45 -/CD34 +/KDR+ and CD45 -/CD144 +/KDR+EPCs in 100 μL peripheral blood were determined by flow cytometry 1 h prior to PCI and 1 h, 6 h and 24 h after PCI.The serum concentrations of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule 1 ( sICAM-1) , C-reactive protein ( CRP) and troponin I ( TnI) were analyzed immediately prior to and 24 h after PCI.RESULTS:(1) In 80 mg reloading group, the numbers of circulating CD45 -/CD133 +/CD34 +and CD45 -/CD34 +/KDR+early differentiation stage EPCs 1 h and 6 h after coronary angioplasty was significantly elevated compared with those before PCI (P<0.05).(2) In control group, the serum concentrations of sICAM-1 and CRP 24 h after PCI were significantly elevated ( P<0.05) compared with preoperative values.(3) The rise in serum TnI concentration from pre-to post-operation in 80 mg reloading group was lowerthan that in control group.CONCLUSION: The method of atorvastatin reload before PCI affects the number of EPCs inperi-operative period.High dose of atorvastatin application before PCI triggers early EPC circulation.The serum levels ofpost-operative inflammatory cytokine sICAM-1 as well as CRP are reduced by atorvastatin reloading before PCI.
