Objective To explore epicanthus correction by transverse incision method and concurrent double-eyelid incision operation.Methods The transverse straight-line incision was performed in new inner canthus to the original canthal corner point; after the original inner canthus corner point was reached,the oblique-line parallel incision was performed along the lower eyelid so that full subcutaneous separation was obtained on the upper and lower incision; the malpositioned isomerous orbicular muscle and thickened tissue were released and excised so that the epicanthus skin was naturally restored; the superficial head of the inner canthus ligament was folded and sutured when necessary ; after small cat ears at the temporal side of the inner canthal incision was removed,routine double eyelid plasty was then performed,but the double eyelid and the inner canthus incisions were not continuous.Results The procedures were clinically applied in 258 cases and followed up for 3-18 months,showing that the epicanthus has disappeared,new inner canthus was in good appearance,the scar was not obvious,recurrence of the epicanthus was not found and double eyelids were beautiful in appearance.Conclusions The epicanthus correction by transverse incision and concurrent double-eyelid plasty is a simple and ideal approach for correction of single-edged eyelid with epicanthus and it is worthy of clinical promotion.

Aim To study the effect of Semen Sojae Preparatum isoflavone(SSPI)on proliferation and JAK2/STAT3 signal transduction pathway in rat vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC)induced by Angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ).Methods A cell proliferating model of VSMC induced by AngⅡ was established.The proliferation activity of VSMC was analyzed by MTT method.The expressions of angiotensin Ⅱ receptor 1(AT1R) were detected by RT-PCR method.The expressions of JAK2,STAT3 and phosphorylation protein were detected by Western blot.Results 100 ?g?L-1, 200 ?g?L-1 SSPI significantly inhibited the proliferation of VSMC induced by AngⅡ,and down-regulated the mRNA expression of AT1R.200 ?g?L-1 SSPI could significantly down-regulate the protein expressions of p-JAK2,p-STAT3.Conclusions The proliferation of VSMC induced by AngⅡcan be inhibited by SSPI.The mechanisms might be related to down-regulating the expressions of AT1R,and arresting the phosphorylation of JAK2/STAT3 signal transduction pathway.

Aim To investigate the effects of chloride channel blockers on the apoptosis of RIN-m? cells of pancreatic islet induced by H2O2.Methods The apoptotic model was made by H2O2 exposed for six hours with a concentration of 500 ?mol?L-1.The chloride channel blockers:DIDS,NPPB and NFA were administered to pretreat the samples respectively.The cell viability,morphological changes,and apoptosis rate were observed.Results Chloride channel blockers alone have no marked effects on the cell viability of RIN-m? cell.However,they elevated the cell viability of RIN-m?cell disposed of by H2O2.Compared to H2O2 group,the groups of DIDS +H2O2,NPPB+ H2O2 and NFA+H2O2 have significant difference in cell viability and apoptosis rate(P

Cobra venom factor (CVF), separated from the cobra venoms, is an acidic glucoproteins with anticomplementory activity. The combination of CVF with factor B in the blood produces a stable C3 and C5 converterase resulting in complement depletion by activating complement continually. There are many studies on it, such as inflammation, autoimmune disease, xenotransplantation, anti-tumor, etc. CVF is also an important tool drug for the study of complement role in the pathophysiological development of diseases.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the early changes of ECG,cTnⅠ,LDH,α-HBDH and CKMB in patients with anthra-cyclines chemotherapy-induced heart damage after breast cancer surgery,and to explore their significances in the diagnosis of early heart damage. METHODS:Medical information of 152 cases of anthracyclines chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery in our hos-pital during Jan. 2015-Jun. 2016 were analyzed retrospectively. According to diagnosis criteria of drug-induced cardiotoxicity,the occurrence of heart damage was evaluated during hospitalization and 1-year follow-up. According to evaluation results,those pa-tients were divided into heart damage group(50 cases)and control group(102 cases). The early changes of ECG,cTnⅠ,LDH, CKMB and α-HBDH were analyzed before chemotherapy(T0),24 h after first chemotherapy(T1),24 h after second chemothera-py(T2),24 h after forth chemotherapy. RESULTS:At T1,T2,T3,the proprotion of ECG abnormalities in heart damage group was significantly higher than control group;the serum levels of cTnⅠ,LDH,CKMB andα-HBDH in heart damage group were signifi-cantly higher than control group, with statistical significance (P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS:For anthracyclines chemotherapy drugs-induced heart damage after breast cancer surgery,early regular monitoring of ECG,cTnⅠ,LDH,CKMB and α-HBDH can improve the efficiency of early diagnosis of heart damage,and improve prognosis.

Objective:To explore the mechanism of renal injury in severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods:54 SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group(n=24) and SAP group(n=30).SAP model was induced by injection of 5% sodium taurocholate solution into bilo-pancreatic duct.Rats from each group were killed and the serum and ascite were collected at 6h,12h,24h after operation.Tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)level of serum and ascite were measured by enzyme linked immuno-sorbent assay (ELISA).The expressions of TNF-? mRNA were assessed by RT-PCR analysis.The serum and ascites that had been collected at 24h after development were injected into medium of NRK cell,then the levels of TNF-? secreted by NRK cell were measured after injection 6h,12h,24h,and the cell apoptosis were also evaluated after injection 24h.NRK cell apoptosis were evaluated by flow cytometry (FCM).Results:①The serum and ascites levels of TNF-? were signficantly elevated in SAP groups compared with sham operation groups at any time point(P

OBJECTIVE: To establish a proper experimental model of bone cancer pain in rat for acupuncture research, and observe the pain-relieving effect of electroacupuncture (EA) and/or Celebrex on bone cancer pain in rats. METHODS: The rat model of bone cancer pain was established by percutaneous direct puncture technique and inoculating the rat mammary gland carcinoma cells Walker 256 into tibial medullary cavity directly, and evaluated by detecting the bone tumor growth and mechanical allodynia. The effects of daily EA treatment and/or Celebrex treatment on the rat mechanical allodynia after intratibial Walker 256 inoculation was observed in this study. RESULTS: Significant mechanical allodynia in ipsilateral hind paw and tumor growth in proximal end of tibial bone of rats in the untreated group were observed after intratibial Walker 256 inoculation. The mechanical allodynia thresholds in rats that received EA or 5 mg/(kg.d) Celebrex treatment showed no significant difference as compared with that of rats in the untreated group. However, the mechanical allodynia thresholds of rats in 10 mg/(kg.d) Celebrex group showed significant increase after 22- and 26-day treatment as compared with that in the methyl cellulose (MC) group. There was significant difference between rats with EA combined with 5 mg/(kg.d) Celebrex treatment and rats in the untreated group after 10-, 18- and 23-day treatment. CONCLUSION: EA and 5 mg/(kg.d) Celebrex have synergistic effect on pain relieving and their combined use may enhance the analgesic effect on bone cancer pain.

Objective To validate the clinical effects of two feedback cancellation technologies, PureWave Feedback Eliminator and Active Feedback Intercept based on different platform, in hearing aids open fitting.Methods 40 patients(40 ears) were selected randomly to use the different products(RIC and ZON),which represent the different technologies(PureWave Feedback Eliminator and Active Feedback Intercept respectively), for testing ASG and MSG in the same condition of ear canal .Same receivers (50 dB) were placed in ear canals with medium earbud. Patients aged from 16 to 70 years old, mean age was 40?18.04,and the average PTA was 55.7?14.8 dB HL.Results ASG testing results under two technologies were different. ASG under PureWave Feedback Eliminator was 25.12 dB and that of AFI was 20.33 dB. Maximum difference of MSG gained from the two technologies at 3 kHz and 6.5 kHz were 8 dB and 6 dB,respectively.Conclusion PureWave Feedback Eliminator technology maintains a clear lead of ASG in hearing aids open fitting model, which is helpful for increasing fitting ranges for open fitting and improving comfort and cosmetic.

Aim To compare the cytotoxicity of geni-poside (GS)and its metabolite genipin (GP)on hu-man hepatocelluar HepG2 cells and explore the sub-stance and mechanism of hepatotoxicity induced by Fructus Gardeniae.Methods The cytotoxic effect of GS and GP was analyzed by MTT method;the antioxi-dant enzyme activities of manganese superoxide dis-mutase (Mn-SOD),catalase (CAT)and levels of glu-tathione (GSH)were detected by respective kits;the change of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS ) was measured by 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescin diacetate (DCFH-DA)staining method;multiparameter cytotox-icity analysis (cell loss,nuclear size and morphologi-cal changes,DNA content,cell membrane permeabili-ty,mitochondrial membrane potential changes,cyto-chrome C release ) were measured simultaneously by high content screening (HCS)assays.Results No cytotoxicity was found in GS (20~1 000 μmol·L-1 ) groups (P>0.05 ),but GP was found to exert obvi-ous cytotoxic effect,and 50μmol·L-1 GP could obvi-ously inhibit HepG2 cell proliferation (P<0.05 ),and the IC50 value was (450.00 ±26.15)μmol·L-1;GS showed no obvious effects on Mn-SOD, CAT, GSH ,ROS (P >0. 0 5 ),GP could significantly decrease the activity of Mn-SOD,CAT and the level of GSH,and obviously increase the content of ROS (P<0.05 or P <0.01 );treatment with 50,500,1 000μmol·L-1 GP resulted in loss of mitochondrial mem-brane potential,cytochrome C release and increased cell permeability (P<0.05 or P<0.01),500,1 000μmol· L-1 GP could also show abvious nuclear con-densation,increased total nuclear intensity and cell loss (P<0.0 1 ).Opposed with GP,GS had no signif-icant effect on the cytotoxic parameters (P>0.05 ). Conclusion GP is the direct substance of hepatotox-icity induced by Fructus Gardeniae,and the mecha-nism might be associated with oxidative stress,mito-chondria injury and apoptosis.

Objective To explore the expression of Bcl-6 mRNA in the Tfh cells of HIV/AIDS patients and the relationship between Bcl-6 mRNA and the progression of HIV/AIDS.Methods This experiment chose 60 patients who were confirmed by HIV antibody test positive,during May 2014 to November from AIDS Research Institute in the First Affiliated Hospi-tal,Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.According to the amount of CD4+T cells,the patients with HIV/AIDS were divided into A(CD4<200 cells/μl),B(200 cells/μl500 cells/μl)three groups.The Tfh cells expressed CD4+ CXCR5 + ICOS+ and lymphocyte subpopulation including T,B and NK cells were detected by flow cytometry (FCM).The expression of Bcl-6 mRNA levels were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).The association between Tfh cells and Bcl-6 mRNA,B cells were analyzed.Results The expression of Bcl-6 mRNA from patients of A,B and C three groups was increased than in healthy individuals (2.94±0.91,2.27±0.62,2.15± 0.351,P <0.05).The percent of Tfh cells from group A patients was higher than group C patients (5.88±3.01 vs 1.26± 0.87,P =0.032)and also the healthy control group (5.88±3.01 vs 0.78±0.42,P =0.004).The percentage of NK cells and B cells in HIV/AIDS patients was no statistically significant.Correlation analysis showed that there was positive corre-lation between the proportion of Tfh cells and Bcl-6 mRNA (r=0.799,P =0.000).And Tfh cells were observed no relation-ship with B cells (r=-0.083,P =0.657).Conclusion The changes of Bcl-6 mRNA and Tfh cells may be related to the progression of HIV/AIDS.
