In recent years, there's a new theory of lipid condensation or accumulation being the etiology for obstruction of qi in the chest result in heart disease. The theory believes that thick lipid exists in meridians. If one takes too much fatty diet, there will be lipid condensation or accumulation, resulting in disturbance of qi transformation in meridians,. Scholars explore the relationship of preventive treatment of disease by traditional Chinese medicine with lipid condensation or accumulation theory. This enriches the etiology of TCM.

AIM To study effects of desulfated and poly sulfated heparin derivatives on rat mast cell (MC) degranulation. METHODS Different methods were used to prepare different sulfated heparin derivatives: 2 O desulfated heparin (2DeSH),N desulfated reacetylated heparin (NDeSAcH),6 O desulfated heparin (6DeSH),poly sulfated heparin (PSH). Passive MC degranulation induced by ovalbumin in rats to was employed observe the effects of different sulfated derivatives on rats MC degranulation. Prosthesis for femoral head surface replacement was designed. Between January 2002 and December 2005,28 patients underwent femoral head surface replacement in Anyang People's Hospital. The diameter of the normal femoral head was determined by CT,and the prosthesis was selected according to the measured value ±1 mm. With the muscle gap approach,the center of the femoral head was determined according to the measured distance between the femoral head center and the culminated point of the round ligament fossa based on the mark of the culminated point of the round ligament pit. Additionally,the diameter of the femoral head was measured again to ensure the precise match of the prosthesis and acetabulum. X-ray films at 24-48 months show no loosening or dislocation of the prosthesis,which was well matched with acetabulum. Furthermore,the joint space did not remarkably change. The mean score was 63 before operation and 91.5 after operation respectively according to Harris sore. The successful rate is 92.86% (excellent in 23cases,good in 3,and improved in 2). The results show that femoral head surface replacement is an effective method for young patients with avascular necrosis of the femoral head at the stage of ARCO HI.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture by stages in treating post-stroke swallowing dysfunction. Method Sixty eligible patients were randomized into a staging-acupuncture group and an ordinary-acupuncture group, to respectively receive acupuncture by the stage of swallowing and ordinary acupuncture in addition to the basic treatments. Function estimation was conducted before and after intervention in both groups to compare the therapeutic efficacies.Result According to the water drinking test, the total effective rate was 83.3% in the staging-acupuncture group versus 53.3% in the ordinary-acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant by rank sum test (P＜0.05), and the staging-acupuncture group was superior to the ordinary-acupuncture group especially in the pharyngeal stage (P＜0.05); the differences were statistically insignificant in the oral stage and esophageal stage (P>0.05); regarding the video fluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS), the staging-acupuncture group was significantly better than ordinary-acupuncture group in improving swallowing function (P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture by swallowing stages is effective in treating post-stroke swallowing dysfunction, especially in improving the swallowing function in pharyngeal stage.

ObjectiveTo explore the magnitude of the deformation of Durom cup after press-fit implantation in cadaver models and to investigate which part of the cup would deform the most.Methods Three fresh adult cadaver pelves were harvested and were cleaned of soft tissue,preserving the sacrospinous and sacrotuberous ligaments.Bilateral acetabular replacements in all cadaver pelves were performed by a senior surgeon.All acetabulums were reamed with corresponding reamers,and the direction of reaming was 40°to 45° of abduction and 15° to 20° of anteversion.Larger reamers were used sequentially until the anterior and posterior walls were firmly engaged.Six Durom cups were implanted.The deformation of each cup was detected by 3D Digital Image Correlation (3D DIC) method,and the magnitude and the parts of the deformation were recorded.ResultsThe diameters of cups were 50 mm in 2,52 mm in 2 and 54 mm in 2,respectively.All cups generated different degree of deformation,which were mostly located in the posterior-superior quadrant and the areas of the ramus of ischium.After measuring the maximum deformed areas for three times,it was found that the localized depression deformation occurred in all cups.The average deformation value was (41.73±8.86) μm (range,29.91-49.43 μm).There was no significant change in deformation value 24 hours after press-fit implantation and 7 days after removing the cups.ConclusionDurom large diameter metal acetabular component will generate deformation during the press-fit implantation.And the deformation may play an important role in more wear and more ions release.

Objective To investigate the effects of adhesion mediated by bone nlalTow stroma celh from leukemia patient on chemotherapeutics sensitivity and cell cycle of Jurkat cells in the co-cultured model.Methods Bone mw stroma cells were isohted and cultured from leukemia patients routinely.To construct the co-cultured model.Jurkat cells were co-cultured with BMSCs the irradiated layer by 60Co,and the model was observed with scanning electron microscope.The IC50 values of Jurkat cells expesured to DNR were quantified by MTT.The cell cycles of Jurkat cells after 24h-adhesion in the co-cultured model were analyzed by Facs.The expression of cyclin A,cyclin E and p27 in Jurkat cells adhered to BMSCs for 4h.24h and 48h were detected by Western blot.Results Jurkat ceUs in the co-cultured model showed a decreased sensitivity to DNR.ICSO values for normal BMSCs,leukemic BMSCs and non-adhered control were of 1.78Ixmol/L,2.30pznol/L and 0.45p,mol/L,respectively.The percentages of Go-Gl phase for leukemic BMSCs group and non-adhered control group were of 48.74％±8.77％and 27.83％壬1.86％.Respectively.The percentages of Gz-M phase for leukemic BMSCs group and non-adhered control group were of2.01％±1.17％and 20.33％±1.84％。Respectively.Compared with eomrol group,the 24h-ad- hesion mediated by BMSCs from leukemia patients up-regulated the percentage of Go-G1 phase of Jurkat cells(P

Objective To explore the effect of prevention and treatment of external application of Algoplaque for controlling phlebitis caused by peripheral indewelling needle in vein for patients. Methods This research was divided into two parts,prevention and treatment. As for prevention research,patients were randomly divided into the experimental and the control groups,each group included 30 patients. In the experimental group,we applied directly external application of Algoplaque at the upper of needle puncture site of the vein and nearby the eye. In the control group,we applied the film directly to fix the indwelling needle. As for the treatment research, it was carried out in patients with occurred phlebitis, who were randomly divided into two groups,the experimental group included 30 cases of patients and the control group included 28 cases of patients. Observation time was one to five days. Results The incidence of phlebitis in the experimental group of prevention research was 23%, in the control group it was 90%. The incidence of phlebitis in the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The effective rate in the experimental group of treatment research was 96.7% and it was 67.9% in the control group. The difference was very significant. Conclusions External application of Algoplaque can effectively control phlebitis caused by peripheral indewelling needle in vein.

Objective To compare the difference of the clinical efficacy on post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome treated by acupuncture at stellate ganglion and by conventional acupuncture. Methods Ninety cases of post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome ( at stageⅠ or stageⅡ) were randomized into treatment group and control group, 45 cases in each group. Both groups received basic rehabilitation training. Additionally, the treatment group received acupuncture at the bilateral stellate ganglions of the neck, with reducing acupuncture by rotating the needles. The control group received the conventional acupuncture on Jiquan ( HT 1) , Chize ( LU 5) , Jianyu (LI 15), Quchi (LI 11), Shousanli (LI 10), Hegu (LI 4), with reducing acupuncture by lifting and thrusting the needle on Jiquan ( HT 1) and Chize ( LU 5) , and with mild reinforcing and reducong acupuncture on the other acupoints. The treatment for both groups was given once every day, and 14 times in total. The total syndrome scores, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, modified Fugl-Meyer Assessment of motor function scale (FMA) scores, and modified Barthel index (MBI) were observed to evaluate the changes of symptoms, pain and motor function of the upper limbs, and activity of daily life before and after treatment in the two groups. The clinical efficacy was also compared between the two groups. Results The total syndrome scores, VAS scores, FMA scores and the modified Barthel index were improved apparently after treatment in the two groups (all P<0.01), and the improvement in the treatment group as more obvious (all P<0.01) . The total effective rate was 93.33% (42/45) in the treatment group, which was better than 73.33% (33/45) in the control group ( P<0.05) . During the treatment, patients of both groups had good compliance, and all completed the trial. No obvious adverse reaction was found in the two groups. Conclusion Acupuncture at stellate ganglion is effective and safe for the treatment of post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome, and it has higher efficiency than the conventional acupuncture.

Objective To investigate the occurrence of regular and rare types of beta thalassemia in Guangxi,and to reduce the misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.Methods Between Jan 2010 and Dec 2013,42 770 patients (20 740 males and 22 030 females,one month to fifty-four years old) from Maternal and Child Healthy Hospital of Guangxi,who were suspected with thalassemia were involved in this study.All these patients were went through the following screening tests:routine blood cell count,hemoglobin electrophoresis test,and serum iron and ferritin tests.Positive patients in the screening test would be taken gene diagnosis with regular reverse dot blot (RDB) method; negative patients in gene diagnosis but positive in the screening test would be under the test of beta globin gene sequencing.Results Totally 28 101 patients were confirmed with thalassemia from 42 770 suspected patients,including 10 891 patients with beta thalassemia,49 patients were homozygous,10 718 patients were heterozygote,and 124 patients were compound heterozygous.After beta globin gene sequencing test,14 regular mutations in people of south China and 7 rare types mutations were detected,the detection rate of rare type of beta thalassemia was 17.949％ (7/39).Conclusions Mutation spectrum of beta thalassemia in Guangxi is complex.Gene diagnosis of rare type thalassemia needs to be done in patients with phenotypes of thalassemia and negative of regular gene diagnosis,in order to reduce misdiagnosis,and improve accuracy of clinical diagnosis.
