AIM Bio-active constituents were expected to be obtained from Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. METHODS It was extracted with 95% alcohol, distributed by petrol, isolated via column chromatography on silica gel and purified by crystallization. RESULTS Nine compounds were isolated from the stems of Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook., On the basis of spectral analyses, six compounds of them were identified as chrysophanol(3), n-dotriacodtanoic acid(5), defuscin(6), n-triacontyl cis-p-coumarate(7), β-sitosterol(8) and chrysotobibenzyl(9). CONCLUSION Chrysophanol(3) was firstly isolated from Genus dendrobium and chrysotobibenzyl(9) was found from this species for the first time.

OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the effect of applying Manujet III manual jet ventilation to remove tracheo-bronchial foreign bodies in children.
METHOD:
Before 2009, 62 patients, using the controlled positive pressure ventilation through the side holes of the rigid bronchoscopy, is signed as group P. Another group J ,from January 2009 to January 2012, 48 cases, utilizing Manujet III device manual jet ventilation. The satisfaction rate at placed in bronchoscopy, intraoperative hypoxia. removal of foreign body situation, operative time, incidence of adverse reactions were recorded and contrasted.
RESULT:
The difference of satisfaction rate in placing endoscopy between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). But in operative time, intraoperative hypoxia, incidence of adverse reaction rate was statistically significant (P<0.05), J group is better than the group P.
CONCLUSION
In the tracheobronchial foreign bodies removal, application Manujet III device to manual jet ventilation can reduce the incidence of intraoperative hypoxia, easier to surgical operation.

Chinese Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2023;17(2):185-189
Objective:To analyze the expression of histone methyltransferase SETD1A and SETD5 in breast cancer and its correlation with the clinicopathological characteristics of patients. Methods:A total of 80 breast cancer patients were included in the study. GSCA website screened SET domain family members, predicted their expression in breast cancer tissues, and verified them with immunohistochemical SP method. Chi-square test and Logistic regression model were used to analyze the correlation between SETD1A, SETD5 and clinicopathological characteristics of patients. Results:The GSCA website showed that the expressions of SETD1A and SETD5 of the SET domain family were up-regulated in breast cancer tissues compared with normal tissues (all P<0.05). Immunohistochemical SP method showed that the positive expression rates of SETD1A and SETD5 in breast cancer tissues were 73.8% and 68.8% respectively, which were significantly higher than the positive expression rates of SETD1A and SETD5 in paracancerous tissues 38.8% ( χ2=19.91, P<0.001) and 32.5% ( χ2=21.03, P<0.001). Chi-square test results showed that the expression of SETD1A was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and vascular invasion, and the expression of SETD5 was significantly correlated with nerve invasion (all P<0.05). Logistic regression model showed that SETD1A expression was correlated with lymph node metastasis ( OR=0.07, 95% CI: 0.01-0.25, P<0.001) and molecular type ( OR=0.04, 95% CI: 0.00-0.48, P=0.022), SETD5 expression was correlated with neural invasion ( OR=6.41, 95% CI: 1.45-46.65, P=0.029) . Conclusion:The expressions of histone methyltransferases SETD1A and SETD5 are up-regulated in breast cancer tissues, and they are correlated with pathological features such as lymph node metastasis, vascular invasion, and neural invasion.

Pathological cardiac hypertrophy serves as a significant foundation for cardiac dysfunction and heart failure. Recently, growing evidence has revealed that microRNAs (miRNAs) play multiple roles in biological processes and participate in cardiovascular diseases. In the present research, we investigate the impact of miRNA-34c-5p on cardiac hypertrophy and the mechanism involved. The expression of miR-34c-5p was proved to be elevated in heart tissues from isoprenaline (ISO)-infused mice. ISO also promoted miR-34c-5p level in primary cultures of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (NRCMs). Transfection with miR-34c-5p mimic enhanced cell surface area and expression levels of foetal-type genes atrial natriuretic factor (Anf) and β-myosin heavy chain (β-Mhc) in NRCMs. In contrast, treatment with miR-34c-5p inhibitor attenuated ISO-induced hypertrophic responses. Enforced expression of miR-34c-5p by tail intravenous injection of its agomir led to cardiac dysfunction and hypertrophy in mice, whereas inhibiting miR-34c-5p by specific antagomir could protect the animals against ISO-triggered hypertrophic abnormalities. Mechanistically, miR-34c-5p suppressed autophagic flux in cardiomyocytes, which contributed to the development of hypertrophy. Furthermore, the autophagy-related gene 4B (ATG4B) was identified as a direct target of miR-34c-5p, and miR-34c-5p was certified to interact with 3' untranslated region of Atg4b mRNA by dual-luciferase reporter assay. miR-34c-5p reduced the expression of ATG4B, thereby resulting in decreased autophagy activity and induction of hypertrophy. Inhibition of miR-34c-5p abolished the detrimental effects of ISO by restoring ATG4B and increasing autophagy. In conclusion, our findings illuminate that miR-34c-5p participates in ISO-induced cardiac hypertrophy, at least partly through suppressing ATG4B and autophagy. It suggests that regulation of miR-34c-5p may offer a new way for handling hypertrophy-related cardiac dysfunction.
