Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the caries prevalence of the first permanent molars among pupils in Zhongshan City in order to improve the level of oral health and to provide the direction and evidence for prevention and treatment strategies of caries. Methods Oral first permanent molars were examined among 1731 pupils aged from 7 to 12 years old in Zhongshan Experimental Primary School. The data were analyzed by SPSS 10 0 for Windows. Results The mean caries prevalent rate of first permanent molars was 32 62% among 1731 examined pupils with the mean DMFT of 0 48.Thefemales’meancariesprevalentrateandDMFToffirstpermanentmolarswerebothhigherthanmales’ .Theseven -yearoldgrouphadthelowest cariesprevalentrateandDMFTthanotheragegroups .Theocclusalsurfacewasthemostcommonsurfaceamongthecariesfirstpermanentmolarwith percentageof 73 5 2 .Conclusion Toprotectthefirstpermanentmolar ,weshouldreinforceoralhealtheducation ,regularexaminationoralhealth ,car ryingoutthefitandfissureseal, andfillingthedecayedteethintime .

Objective To study the effect of pharmacy intravenous admixture service(PIVAS)combined with mobile transfusion management system on the intravenous infusion for outpatients. Methods Six hundred patients hospitalized from January to December 2011 were set as the control group, and another 600 patients from January to December 2012 as observation group. The control group were managed with PIVAS management mode and the observation group with PIVAS combined with mobile transfusion management system management mode. The two groups were compared in terms of transfusion reaction, transfusion errors,nurse-patient disputes, transfusion check errors,no response from patients at call and patient’s satisfaction. Results There were no significant differences between the groups in transfusion reaction and transfusion error rate( P>0.05).The rates of nurse-patient disputes, transfusion check errors,no response from patients at call and patient's satisfaction in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion PIVAS combined with mobile transfusion management system can not only provides pharmaceutical care safety quality for outpatient’s infusion, but also simplify the infusion process and improve the work efficiency and patient’s satisfaction with nurses.

According to the current situation of the medical ethics education, much emphasis should be put on strengthening the practicalness of medical ethic education;to achieve this goal, the following aspects should be guaranteed: to combine the medical ethic education tightly with medical practices;to face all the difficulties and exert every means to work out the ethical issues emerged from the medical and healthy practice;to impart ethical education to professional curriculum, especially the course of clinical field work.

Objective To investigate the prevention of the antelocation of nursing intervention to constipation in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods 70 AMI patients were divided randomly into the test group and control group with 35 patients in each group. The control group received the AMI usual care and drugs;the test group received the antelocation of nursing intervention to constipation besides the usual care and drugs. Results The death rate and the incidence of abdominal distension, abdominal pain, anxiety, and complication of the patients in the test group were lower than those of the patients in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The antelocation of nursing intervention to constipation can decrease the death rate of AMI patients.

Objective To evaluate VITEK2 Advanced Expert System (AES) for detection and analysis of clinically important beta-lactam phenotypes. Methods 124 known resistant phenotype strains including Staphylococcus spp, E.coli, Klebsiella spp. and Ent. cloacae were tested by VITEK2 AES. Results The resistant phenotypes for methicillin susceptible, and resistant Staphylococcus spp, producing ESBL E. coli, Klebsiella spp. and Ent. cloacae isolates, and inducible AmpC and hyperproduced AmpC Ent. cloacae isolates can be accurately identified by VITEK2 AES. The most Ent. cloacae strains for both producing ESBLs and hyperproduced AmpC were partially identified. Conclusion VITEK2 AES can be accurately identified most clinically important beta-lactam phenotypes and suggested additional therapeutic correction based on phenotype. Certain problems for Ent. cloacae in the study should be remediable with further work on AES.

Objective To analyze the epidemud growth factor receptor(EGFR)mutations in NSCLC patients in Fujian province. Methods Fresh specimens of lung cancer and corresponding normal lung tissue were collected from 50 cases of NSCLC patients. After DNA extraction, nested polymerase chain reaction (nested PCR)and direct deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)sequencing were used to analyze EGFR gene mutations in NSCLC patients. Results EGFR mutations in tumors were identified from 13 of 50(26%)patients,including 10 cages of in-frame deletion in exon 19 and 3 cases of amino acid substitution in exon 21.Conclusion The mjor type of EGFR mutation in NSCLC patients in Fujian is in-frame deletion in exon 19.

BACKGROUND:Correlation between subchondral bone and articular cartilage in the process of osteoarthritis has not been fuly elucidated. Degeneration of cartilage is the focus of attention, and the subchondral bone also plays an important role in the process of osteoarthritis. OBJECTIVE: To observe the differences between experimental osteoarthritis models in rabbit knees established by two kinds of surgical methods and two kinds of proteases inducing methods, and to explore the correlation between subchondral bone mass and degeneration of cartilage. METHODS:Thirty-two New Zealand rabbits were randomly and averagely divided into four groups: Hulth group (group A), anterior cruciate ligament transaction group (group B), colagenase type II group (group C) and papain group (group D). The right knees of rabbits were established as osteoarthritis models, and the left knees served as controls. Bone mineral density of the knee joint was evaluated by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scanning at 0, 4 and 8 weeks after modeling. The rabbits were sacrificed at 8 weeks after MRI scanning, bilateral knee joints were harvested for general and histological observation. Quantitative analysis was done according to Mankin scores. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Bone mineral density of the right knees decreased at 0, 4 and 8 weeks after modeling, and the rank was as folows: group A > group B > group C > group D. MRI scanning showed that the articular cartilage thickness of the medial and lateral femoral condyle on the right knees became thinner compared with the left side, and the rank was as folows: group A < group B < group C < group D. Observation by specimens and pathological slices showed that the articular cartilage degeneration of the surgery groups worsened, group A was the most serious one, and group 1D was the lightest. Both surgery and proteases inducing methods can successfuly establish osteoarthritis models in rabbit knees. Surgery inducing models resemble the advanced or intermediate stage of osteoarthritis, while the proteases inducing models resemble the early stage of osteoarthritis. Degeneration of the articular cartilage and changes of subchondral bone are related in progressive development.
