BACKGROUND:Bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation has been confirmed to have excellent effect on the treatment of diabetic foot.
OBJECTIVE:To assess the therapeutic effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation on diabetic foot ulcers and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor.
METHODS:Literatures concerning the effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation on foot diabetic and expression of vascular endothelial stem cells were retrieved. Articles that met the criteria were analyzed in depth. Here, we analyzed the experimental research and clinical application of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of diabetic foot. In experimental studies, rat models of diabetic foot ulcers were established and subjected to bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation to observe wound healing of ulcers and analyze the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor. In clinical research, the fol ow-up was conducted in diabetic foot patients undergoing bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation to observe the wound healing of ulcers and adverse reactions.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Experimental studies have shown that bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation is better than conventional treatment in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, but the healing of diabetic foot ulcers is stil slower than that of normal ulcers. After celltransplantation, the expression of vascular endothelial stem cells is elevated but stil lower than that in the normal ulcer controls. Clinical studies have shown that for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, the ulcer wound can be healed after bone marrow mesenchymal stem celltransplantation, as wel as there are no cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, liver and kidney damage and changes in bleeding and coagulation time.

[Objective] To study the microstructure of ligamentum fiavum of the early dynamic imbalanced rats.[Methods]The dynamic imbalanced rat mode was established.The samples were taken and studied by electron microscopy at 3、5、15、30、60 days after operation.[Results]A large number of fibroblasts in the ligamentum flavum were found at 3 days after the neck muscles were resected.The fibroblasts had an active metabolism,and around them the collagen fibers were markedly increased at 5 days.The number of fibroblasts was reduced,but the matrices were increased at 15 days.At 30 days,fibroblasts became slender,and fibers looked like waves.At 60 days,the number and appearance of the fibroblasts of the ligamentum fiavum were similar to that of the control group.The fibers were regularly arranged and became larger than that of the colltrol group.[Conclusion]The number of fibroblasts and the collagen fibers in the ligamentum flavum of the dynamic imbanlanced rats has a regular change after operation.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the difference of the symptoms evaluation between CRS patients and doctors. METHOD: Seven symptoms including nasal obstruction, watery rhinorrhea, sneezing, rhinocnesmus, itching of eyes, hyposmia and facial pain were evaluated by visual analog scales (VAS) by the patients. The assigned rhinologist finished VAS evaluation of doctor based on the patient's description of their symptoms. Rank test was used to analyze the difference for each VAS scores of symptom between patients and doctor. Spearman test was used to analyze the effect of age in VAS scores and the effect of gender was analyzed by using Mann-Whitney test. RESULT: We found that the sum and every single patient's nasal symptoms VAS scores both showed statistical significantly difference (t = 4.51 P < 0.01). VAS scores of nasal blockage showed the significant difference between patients and doctor (r = 359.52 P < 0.01). Age of patients did not show correlation with VAS scores (r = -0.074 P > 0.05) also, gender of patients didn't show statistical significant (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION There were differences between patient's and doctor's nasal symptoms VAS scores and the VAS scores of patients were higher than the doctor's. Age and gender of patient were not related to the VAS evaluation.

Objective To assess the value in detecting the tracheobronchial tree invasion by central lung cancer (CLC)using MSCT axial images and 4 kinds of images post-processed techniques.Methods 38 cases with CLC identified by fibrobrochoscopy or operation were scanned using MX8000 scanner with slice thickness of 3.2 mm, overlapping interval of 1.6 mm, pitch of 1.0. Multiplanar reformation(MPR), shaded surface display(SSD), volume rendering (VR) and virtual endoscopy(VE) were performed in all cases. Two radiologists assessed the invasion of tracheobronchial tree by CLC together.The imaging findings were compared with the data of surgery in 12 cases who were undergone operation.Results 38 cases of CLC, 0 grade to Ⅳ grade were assessed in 0,8,14,11 and 5 cases respectively by MSCT axial images, while in 0,10,11,12 and 5 cases by MSCT post-processing images. The concordance rate was 75% for MSCT axial images(n=9), and 100% for MSCT post-processing images(n=12) among 12 cases performed operation(? 2 test,? 2=6.0,P

Objective: To evaluate the effect of RBa-I, an extract of Rosa bracteata Wend1, against withdrawa1 syndrome in morphine-dependent rats and to explore its mechanism. Methods: The mode1 rats of morphine dependent were established. The scores of withdrawa1 syndrome,?-EP level in hypotha1amus and pituitary body were observed to evaluate the effect of RBa-I in rats. Results: RBa-I can antagonize the urging withdrawa1 syndrome in morphine-dependent rats (ora1ly, 5 mg?kg -1 ), and the effect was inferior to chlonidine (oral1y, 0.2 mg?kg -1 ). It can a1so antagonize the natural withdrawal syndrome, decrease the tota1 scores of withdrawa1 syndrome and inhibit the decreasing of body weight. After a seven-day treatment course, the tota1 scores of withdrawa1 syndrome were decreased remarkab1y. The content of ?-EP in hypotha1amus and pituitary body were increased. Conclusion: RBa-I can antagonize the withdrawa1 syndrome of morphine-dependent rats and this may be related to the increase of ?-EP level in hypothalamus and pituitary body in rats.

Objective To observe inhibition rate of mouse mammary adenocarcinoma(EMT6) and inhibition effect on tumor angiogenesis of Panax notoginseng F.H. Chen and Cordyecps sinensis Sacc. powder. Methods BALB/C mice as bearing cancer animals with subcultured mouse-transplantable EMT6 cell train had accepted intervention treatment by Panax notoginseng F.H. Chen and Cordyceps sinensis Sacc. powder. In this way,inhibition rate of the mouse-transplanted EMT6 by the powder was recorded and the expression of microvessel density(MVD),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2(TIMP-2) in the tumor tissue after paraffin imbedding and section were detected through immunohistochemistry technique. Results The tumor inhibition rates of two designed dose groups were separately 48.95% and 37.64%. MVD and VEGF expressions of tumor tissue in the two group were significantly suppressed while the TIMP-2 expression increased. Conclusions Panax notoginseng F.H.Chen and Cordyceps sinensis Sacc. powder can restrain the growth of EMT6,and the pathway of this function is likely related to inhibiting tumor angiogenesis.

Objective To investigate the relationship between interleukin-8 (IL-8),interleukin-6 (IL-6) and pathogenesis of lower respiratory infection(RI).Methods Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and serum IL-8,IL-6 levels were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in 36 patients with lower RI,28 patients with unstable asthma and 12 controls. Objective To compare the therapeutic effect of three treatment regimens on H 22 tumor-bearing mice. Methods H22 tumor-bearing mice were treated by local injection of compound chemotherapeutic agents (5-FU, mitomy-cin and cisplatin ) , oral administration of sorafeni , or the both combined , respectively .Standardized and quantitative syn-drome differentiation methods were used to assess the syndromes and tumor-inhibition rate in the mice .Results All these three therapeutic regimens were effective in suppressing the tumor growth in mice .Among them, the combined therapeutic regimen of local injection of compound chemotherapeutic drugs plus oral administration of sorafeni was the best .Conclu-sion The effect of sorafenib combined with local injection of compound chemotherapeutic agents is better than the other two regimens used separately .

Objective To study age-related structural changes of proximal humerusin Chinese Han adults,for the application inage estimation.Methods Shoulder joint computed radiographs(CR) of 210 Chinese Han adults were sampled,with 124 males aging from 18 to 83 years old and 86 females aging 18 to 60 years old.Four observation indexes (the height of humerus bone marrow cavity,the change of trabecular bone in proximal humeral epiphysis,the change of trabecular bone in humeral macronodular and the change of trabecular bone in subacromial-clavicular bone marrow cavity) related with age were observed and scored.The regression equations of age estimation and change scores were established and tested statistically.Results Every index wasclosely correlated with the age changes inadults.The changes of trabecular bone in proximal humeral epiphysis and the changes of trabecular bone in subacromialclavicular bone marrow cavity have much better effects than the height of humerus bone marrow cavity and the changes of trabecular bone in humeral macronodular.The regression equations could predict the age of Chinese Han adults with satisfactory accuracy.Conclusion CR changes of the height of humerus bone marrow cavity,the changes of trabecular bone in proximal humeral epiphysis,the changes of trabecular bone in humeral macronodular and the changes of trabecular bone in subacromial-clavieular bone marrow cavity can bepracticallyusefulin age estimation for Chinese Han adults.

Objective To investigate the expression changes of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-?B) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in the cultured hepatocellular carcinoma cells 9204 (HCC9204) transfected with inhibitory kappa B alpha(I?B-?)vector. Methods After pcDNA3-I?B-? vector and pcDNA3 were transfected into HCC9204 by lipofectamine method, Western-blot and RT-PCR analysis were used to detect the expressions of NF-?B and MMP-9. Migration and invasion of tumor cells were assayed by fundus membrane invaded by them. Results When pcDNA3-I?B-? was transfected into HCC9204, the expression of NF-?B was decreased at the protein level, and the expression of MMP-9 mRNA and the invision and metastasis ability of transfected cells were obviously decreased. Conclusion When the activity of NF-?B is inhibited, the ability of invasion and metastasis in HCC9204 cells decrease, which could be related to the decreased the expression of MMP-9.
