Telomerase can inhibit the shortening of telomere and stimulate continuous cell proliferation to form tumor.The activity of telomerase can be prohibited by G-quadruplex formed by the single chain in G-rich field of telomere 3' end, resulting in tumor cell apoptosis.Ligands which can induce the formation or stabilize the structure of G-quadruplex in G-rich field of oncogene exhibit antitumor function. Nowadays it becomes the core concern of chemists and biologists to screen and structurally design the compounds targeting G-quadruplex.This paper summarized the discoveries in the G-quadruplex-targeted telomerase inhibitors in recent years.

Objective To establish the best technological condition of Guanzhoukang Oral Liquid. Method Based on the evaluation marker of extraction amount and gentiopicroside content in prescription, the factors influencing the effect of water decoction and alcohol reflux procedure were selected by orthogonal design. Results The best technological condition of Guanzhoukang Oral Liquid should be as follows:radix gentianae, radix isatidis and radix scutellariae contained in prescription were extracted by alcohol in which the concentration was 65%, 8 times of total amount of material herb, extracted 3 times, 1 h for each time. The left material herbs were extracted by water decoction in which amount was 12 times of total amount of material herb, soaked for half hour and decocted 3 times, 1 h for each time. Conclusion The result provides experimental basis for the preparation technology of Guanzhoukan Oral Liquid.

This study was aimed to investigate the seed protein of different forms ofTrichosanthis fructus from Shandong province. UV analyzer was used to analyze the seed protein content. PAGE fingerprint was drawn by Biosens Gel Imaging System software. The Jaccard coefficient was worked out by using NTSYS-pc software. A cluster dendrogram of different samples was established based on unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic means (UPGMA). The results showed that the content of different samples was obviously different. But there were many common bands in the fingerprints of PAGE. It was concluded that the content of seed protein cannot be used as the main index to evaluate the quality ofTrichosanthis fructus. The common bands in fingerprints of PAGE can be used to identifyTrichosanthis fructus.

Objective To observe the clinical effects of Chuanxiongqingnaokeli for treatment of insomnia.Methods Eighty-two cases of insomnia patients were randomly divided into treatment group (n =42)and control group (n=40) who were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2012 to July 2013.The treatment group was administrated Chuanxiongqingnaokeli combined with estazolam tablets while control group was administrated estazolam tablets alone.The indicators including sleep time,easy to waking,sleep time,Pittsburgh sleep quality index and hangover on next day were observed before and after treatment.Results The Pittsburgh sleep quality index of both groups were significantly lower after treatment (treatment group:14.92± 2.89 vs.3.35 ± 1.72,t =2.421,P＜0.05;control group:15.20±3.02 vs.5.81±2.31 score,t=2.537,P＜0.05).And the treatment effect of treatment group was better than control group(t =4.478,P＜0.05).Easy to waking time of the treatment group was (1.49± 1.42) times,sleeping time was (5.78± 1.23) h,hangover on next day was 0,all these data were better than that of control group(2.54±1.56) times,(4.09±1.52) h,37.5％;P＜0.05).The total effective rate of treatment group was 90.5％ (38/42),significantly higher than that of control group (72.5％ (29/40);x2 =61.42,P ＜0.05).Conclusion The chuanxiongqingnaokeli has the significant effects for patients with insomnia.It has more improved in easy to waking and maintaining sleep time significantly which accompanied with advantage of relieving hangover on next day induced by sedative hypnotics at the same time.

Objective To observe the effects of rectal thermal- and pressure- stimuli on visceral perception thresholds in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and investigate its pathogenesis. Methods Rectal visceral perception thresholds were examined in 46 patients with IBS and in 13 normal controls after rectal thermal- and pressure stimuli. Subjects were asked to report its sensation, location and spread. Results Compared with healthy subjects, IBS patients, especially those with diarrhea-predominant IBS, demonstrated significantly lower perception thresholds to rectal thermal and pressure stimuli. Ice had varied effects on symptoms in patients with IBS and no effects on perception thresholds. Conclusion Visceral perception thresholds were decreased significantly after rectal thermal-and pressure- stimuli in patients with IBS. Visceral hypersensitivity is one of the important pathogenesis in IBS.

Objective To analyze correlation of drug with acute drug-induced liver injury in 83 patients. Methods According to the international consensus criteria and Danan's causality assessment of a drug in the case of acute liver injury, 83 cases which had been clinically diagnosed as acute drug-induced liver injury were analyzed. Results Among the 590 inpatients of acute hepatitis, 83 (14.07%) were acute drug-induced liver injury, in whom 53 patients had liver cell damage (63.86%), 22 with cholestasis (26.5%), and 8 with mixed type (9.64%). In 34 patients, it was drug related (40.96%), undefined in 37 cases (44.57%), and unrelated in 12 cases (14.47%). Conclusion The international consensus criteria standardized the diagnosis of drug-induced liver injury and are helpful in differential diagnosis, but it needs improvement for actual implementation.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy modulated by medium frequency on sequela of sprain of ankle. Methods46 patients with sequela of sprain of ankle were treated with ZM C intellectual faculties intermediate frequency therapeutics instrument. Medium frequency was modulated with full square wave. The frequency of carrying wave was 4KHz. The frequency of modulated wave was 100Hz. The depth of modulation was 80%. The water temperature was 40℃.ResultsAfter treatment, all patients got satisfactory effect and shorter treating course without adverse reactions appearing. Conclusions The low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy modulated by medium frequency is a simple, safe and better treating method for sequela of sprain of ankle.

ObjectiveTo observe the easing pain effect of being used Guishen Pain-Killer, a Chinese medicine, for improving the anaesthesia project which was used in using micro-wave heating among tissue to treat hemorrhoid.MethodsOn the basic of the original anaesthesia project, patients drunk the Chinese medicine Guishen Pain-Killer 50ml which was heated to 40℃ by microwave stove for pre-anaesthesia drug 10 minutes before the operation. The effect of adding drinking Guishen Pain-Killer and of merely using the original anaesthesia project were estimated with the McGill Questionnaire and stated the data with u test.ResultsThe pain estimation of those patients who drunk Guishen Pain-Killer before operation was (1.71±1.05) and (1.32±0.83), in operation and just after operation,while that of patients who didn't drink Guishen Pain-Killer before operation was (2.58±1.03) and (1.93±1.11),P<0.01.ConclusionGuishen Pain-Killer can be used as the pre-anaesthesia drug in micro-wave heating among tissue to treat hemorrhoids.
