Background: CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing (CMTM) superfamily is involved in the occurrence and development of inflammation, cancer and a variety of diseases.Human CMTM3 has been proposed as a putative tumor suppressor gene.Aims: To investigate the expression of CMTM3 in Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection-related chronic gastritis and its significance. Methods: Sixty cases of outpatients with chronic gastritis (30 Hp-positive and 30 Hp-negative) were enrolled for detection of CMTM3 and interleukin-6 (IL-6) expressions in gastric mucosa by immunohistochemistry. The correlation of expressions of CMTM3 and IL-6 was analyzed. Results: The positivity rates of CMTM3 and IL-6 in gastric mucosa were significantly higher in Hp-positive chronic gastritis than in Hp-negative ones (CMTM3: 63.3% vs.30.0%, P<0.05;IL-6: 73.3% vs.13.3%, P<0.01).In patients with Hp-positive chronic gastritis, CMTM3 and IL-6 were co-expressed in 53.3% (16/30) of the patients and localized in the same position.Expression of CMTM3 was positively correlated with IL-6 expression in Hp-positive chronic gastritis patients (r=0.58, P<0.05).Conclusions: CMTM3 is highly expressed in chronic gastritis patients with Hp infection. It may participate in the occurrence and development of Hp infection-related chronic gastritis with inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6.Hp infection might be one of the mechanisms involved in CMTM3 up-regulation.

Objective To determine the expression profile of serum microRNAs(miRNAs) in early-onset familial Alzheimer's disease (EO-FAD) patients. methods miRNA microarrays were performed to detect the expression profile of serum miRNAs in 2 cases of EO-FAD patients,2 cases of EO-FAD carriers and 2 cases of normal controls.Preliminary bioinformatic analysis was conducted. Result sIt was found that 21 miRNAs were up-regulated and 22 miRNAs were down-regulated in serum of EO-FAD patients, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).miR-5704(P=0.0002),miR-4639-3p(P=0.0195),miR-107(P=0.0204) were markedly up-regulated,miR-5572(P=0.0008),miR-204-3p(P=0.0014),miR-542-5p(P=0.0106) and miR-155-5p(P=0.0240) were markedly down-regulated.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis suggested that the dysregulated miRNAs may be involved in the mechanism of EO-FAD by affecting neurotrophin signaling pathway. Conclusion miR-5704,miR-4639-3p,miR-107,miR-5572,miR-204-3p,miR-542-5p and miR-155-5p may be used as potential biomarkers of EO-FAD,and involved in the mechanism of EO-FAD by affecting neurotrophin signaling pathway.

OBJECTIVETo study the relationship between the genetic diversity and chemical variation of Cinnamomum migao.
METHODISSR marker technique was used to research the genetic structure of 9 population, GC-MS was used to analyze the main ingredients of the volatile oil in C. migao.
RESULTThe analysis on the main ingredients of the volatile oil showed that there were significant or extremely significant differences in 9 populations. The minimum variation index of population was Yunnan Funing and the maximum variation index of population was Guangxi Yueye. ISSR marker analysis showed that the average of polymorphic loci percentage (P) was 42.41%, expected heterozygosity (H) was 0.181 0, Shannon's information index (I) was 0.293 8, the Nei's genetic diversity (H(s)) in the group was 0.188 9, genetic differentiation index (G(st)) was 2.269 1. The relationship between the genetic diversity and chemical variation showed that there was no significant correlation between the main ingredients of the volatile oil and 4 indexes of genetic structure of C. migao.
CONCLUSIONThe genetic diversity of C. migao was relatively high at the population levels, while it is low within the population levels, the relationship between chemical variation and genetic diversity was not obvious, that may indicate that other factors causes the chemical variation of C. migao.
