1.MRA Classification of the Artery Structures at the Base of the Brain

Objective To observe and classify the structure of the circle of Willis by using magnetic resonance angiographic(MRA)method. Methods A total of 2104 MRA head images from October 2013 to May 2015 in Shenyang Weikang Hospital was retrospective analyzed ,and the structure was classified by anterior circle or posterior circle according to the actual situation of the cerebral basilar artery. Results According to the origin of anterior cerebral artery and whether there was anterior communicating artery or not ,anterior circle was classified into three types:type Ⅰ,type Ⅱ and type Ⅲ. Type Ⅱ was classified into two subtypes,namely,type ⅡR and type ⅡL. Posterior circle,on the basis of whether there was posterior communicating artery or not,was classified into three types,which were type Ⅰ,type Ⅱ and type Ⅲ. According to the origin of posterior cerebral artery,type Ⅰ was classified into four subtypes,including type ⅠB,type ⅠC,type ⅠRC and type ⅠLC;type Ⅱ was classified into eight subtypes,including type ⅡBR,type ⅡBL,type ⅡCR,type ⅡCL,type ⅡRCR,type ⅡRCL,type ⅡLCR and type ⅡLCL;type Ⅲ was classified into four subtypes,including type ⅢB,type ⅢC,type ⅢRC,type ⅢLC. Conclusion There is a correlation among the different types of cerebral basi-lar artery,and each type of artery has their own sources of blood supply and the traits of communication compensation. When the anterior circle and posterior circle were both type Ⅲ,the complete ring structure of cerebral basilar artery,namely the circle of Willis,was formed. The existing rate of the circle of Willis was about 10.7%. Understanding of the differences among the individual types of arteries has great significance to the prevention and treatment of the cerebrovascular disease.
2.Clinical observation of vinorelbine combined with cisplatin on advanced metastatic breast cancer resisting to anthracycine and taxane

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of combination chemotherapy with vinorelbine and cisplatin in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer resisting to anthracycline and taxane.Methods 20 patients with advanced metastatic breast cancer were given following regimen:Vinorelbine 25mg/m2 was given intraveniously in day 1 and day 8,cisplatin 75mg/m2 was given intraveniously in day 1 or 25mg/m2 was given intraveniously in day1 to day 3,repeated every 3 weeks.Evaluation of response and adverse reactions were practiced every 2 cycles.Results 20 patients were evaluable,among them,2 cases reach CR,8 cases PR,4 cases SD and 6 cases PD,with a median followup of 6 months(4 ~ 18months),16 patients survived and 4 patients died.The median time to progression and the median survival time was 5 months(3 ~ 15 months) and 8 months(4 ~ 18 months) respectively.The treatment well tolerated,The main toxicity was myelosuppression and gastrointestinal reaction with WHO grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ gastrointestinal reaction,neutropena and thrombocytopenia being in 25% 、65% and 10% .Conclusion The regimen of NP is safe and effective in treating advanced metastatic breast cancer resisting to anthracycline and taxane.In addition,it was able to improve survival rate and adverse reactions could be tolerated.
3.Association of serum leptin with intima-media thickness of carotid artery in type 2 diabetes patients

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum leptin and carotid intima-media thickness in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 35 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and 16 normal controls were studied. Fasting serum leptin, fasting glucose(FBG), HbAlc, C-peptide, lipide, systolic(SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), body mass index (BMI) and waist circ-umference (WC) were measured in all subjects. The intima-media thickness (IMT) of common carotid artery was measured by high-resolu-tion ultrasound imaging. Results IMT of T2DM was positively correlated with leptin concentration. Conclusion Serum leptin concentra-tion is independently associated with the IMT of carotid artery, which suggest that leptin may be an independent risk factor of atherosclerosis.
4.Relationship of serum C reactive protein level with serum leptin concentration in type 2 diabetic patients

Objective To explore the association of serum high-sensitivity C reactive protein (hs-CRP) level with leptin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitns (T2DM). Methods 35 cases of T2DM patients were involved in the study and 16 normal subjects were taken as controls. Fasting serum leptin and CRP were measured .The relationship between them were also analyzed. Results Fasting serum hs-CRP concentration in T2DM group was higher than that in healthy control group, but serum ieptin levels is the same (P > 0.05). Partial correlation analysis demonstrated that fasting hs-CRP level was positively correlated with leptin (r =0.512 ,P =0. 018). Conclusion Fasting serum hs-CRP level is significantly raised in T2DM ,which is associated with leptin. There is chronic inflammatory reaction in T2DM patients,and leptin is possibly involved in inflammatory pathogenesis of T2DM.

Objective To investigate the role of interleukin-1? (IL-1?) in regulating the gene expression of matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13) in the human hyaline chondrocyte. Methods Human hyaline chondrocytes were harvested enzymatically and cultured in DMEM supplemented with 20% fetal bovine serum, varying concentration of IL-1? was added to the medium. The MMP-13 mRNA level of passaged monolayer cell cultures of human hyaline chondrocyte was assessed by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and fluorescent quantitative PCR (FQ-PCR). 6.Effect of Sijunzi Tang and Yougui Yin on Learning-Memory Ability and Free Radicals in Aging Rat Model

Objective To compare the effect of Sijunzi Tang and Yougui Yin on learning-memory ability and free radicals in aging rat model.Methods The aging rat model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose.The swimming time and error times in water maze test were observed and the free radicals SOD,MDA,NO,NOS in rat brain tissue were measured.Results Sijunzi Tang could shorten the rat swimming time in water maze test.Yougui Yin could increase SOD level and decrease MDA level in brain tissue of model rat,while Sijunzi Tang could decrease NO and NOS level.Conclusion Sijunzi Tang could improve the rat spatial learning and memory ability,and Yougui Yin could relieve the damage of free radical in brain tissue of the aging rat model.
7.Effects of Polysaccharide Extracted from Yangwei Mixture on Immunologic Functions in Mice

Objective To observe the effects of polysaccharide extracted from Yangwei Mixture on immunologic functions in mice.Method Immuno-suppressant mice model was established by intraperitoneal injection of CTX.The effects of the polysaccharide were observed through phagocytosis test of mice celiac macrophagocyte and serum hemolysin level test as well as lymphocyte transformation test.Result The polysaccharide can obviously increase the percentage of phagocytosis of mice celiac macrophagocyte,accelerate the formation of hemolysin and promote the lymphocyte transformation.Conclusion Polysaccharide extracted from Yangwei Mixture is a good immuno-stimulant,and can counteract the immuno-suppression induced by CTX.
8.Study on fingerprint and in vitro release of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm

Objective:To establish a method of evaluating the reproducibility of the preparation process of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm. Methods:Used fingerprint spectrum technology and in vitro release test to evaluate the reproducibility preparation process of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm. By using HPLC to establish the fingerprint of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm. The chromatographic column was an Agilent HC-C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm); the detection wavelength was 280 nm; the flow rate was 1 ml/min; the column temperature was 25 ℃. The mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.2% phosphoric acid aqueous solution, used gradient elution method. An HPLC method for the determination of tetrahydropalmatine content was established, and the vertical Franz diffusion cell method was used to investigate its in vitro release. Results:The results showed that the similarity between the 10 batches of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm and the control map was above 0.95, indicating that the process of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm was stable and feasible; the cumulative release amount of tetrahydropalmatine was 0.23 mg in 24 hours, and the cumulative release rate in 8 hours was 91.54%, and the RSD of 6 samples at each time point was <3%. Conclusion:The method of evaluating the reproducibility of the preparation process of Xiaozheng-Zhitong cataplasm was established by using fingerprint technology and in vitro release; it can provide a reference and scientific basis for the evaluation of the reproducibility of the preparation process of the plaster.
9.Comparative Study on the Content of Microelement Cu, Zn and Mn in Eye Tissue of Rats Treated by Rhi-zoma Corydalis before and after Vinegar Processing

Objective:To study the influence of Rhizoma Corydalis before and after vinegar processing on the microelement content in the eye tissues of rats to verify the vinegar processing leading the herb to liver meridian. Methods: The rats were divided into the crude Corydalis group, vinegar processing group and negative group. The content of microelement Cu, Zn and Mn in rat ocular tissues was determined and compared after the administration. Results:Corydalis could significantly increase the content of Cu and Zn in fun-dus blood and that of Zn and Mn in the eyeball vitreous, and Rhizoma Corydalis after vinegar processing showed more obvious effect. Conclusion:Rhizoma Corydalis with vinegar processing can improve the distribution of microelements in eye tissues, and because liver opens at eyes, the results provide evidence for Corydalis after vinegar processing leading to liver meridian.
10.Study on the Diuretic Effect of Powder of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen

Objective:To study the diuretic effect of micronized powder of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen on rats.Methods:The metabolic cage method and weighing method were used in this experiment;The indictor of urine excretion in 6 h was used to study the diuretic effect of powder ofPanax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen in the water loaded rats;the output of Na +,K +,C1-in urine were measured to elucidate the related mechanization.Results:Powder of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen under high dose after administration of 2h to 5h can significantly increase the urine volume of rat compared with the blank control group (P<0.01,P<0.05),but no diuretic effect after administration of 6h.powder of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen under high dose could increase the urine Na+,Cl-(P <0.01) but reduce the K+ excretion,inhibitting the Na+ reabsorption and K+ excretion of renal tubule.It could significantly increase rat urine pH value (P<0.01),the effect ofpH value by which is similar with the effect of hydrochlorothiazide and the effect of Jinqiancao granules.Conclusion:For the first time,this study investigated the diuretic effect of powder of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen,The relevant mechanism is that powder of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen have an impact on inhibitting the Na+ reabsorption and K+ excretion of renal tubule.
