ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of time management disposition and academic self-efficacy on learning engagement among nursing baccalaureate degree students,and to establish a model of this influence. MethodsLearning engagement scale,the questionnaire of academic self-efficiency,and adolescence time management disposition scale were used to investigate a total of 467 nursing baccalaureate degree students. ResultsThe total score of learning engagement was (52.83±10.45).There were differences in learning among students in different grades and leaning motives,while the interaction of them was not difference in learning engagement.Both academic self-efficacy and time management disposition could positively influence learning engagement directly,and time management disposition could also indirectly influence learning engagement through the academic self-efficacy. ConclusionsThe educators should make efforts to improve time management ability and self-efficacy so as to strengthen the nursing baccalaureate degree students' learning engagement in colleges.

The angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene is one of the main candidate genes of the genetic predisposition study of stroke,however,the correlation between the ACE gene polymorphism and stroke remains controversial.This article reviews the advances in research on the correlation between the ACE gene polymorphism and stroke in recent years.

Objective To translate the English version of Nursing Activities Scale (NAS) into Chinese,and to test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of NAS.Methods A total of 520 nurses were tested by the Chinese version of NAS.SPSS17.0 and AMOS 17.0 were used to test the reliability and validity.Results The correlations between the items and total scale ranged from 0.232 to 0.732 (P＜0.01).Four factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis and they could explain 52.251％ of the total variance.The confirmatory factor analysis revealed a good model fit,and the fit indices were x2/df =1.145,GFI =0.962,AGFI =0.933,RMR =0.028,RMSEA =0.017,NFI =0.957,CFI =0.994.Conclusion Chinese version of NAS is reliable and valid,and can be used to assess the level of professional nursing practice.

ObjectiveTo investigate the status of job burnout of clinical nurses,and to analyze its relationship with self-efficacy and the environmental factors.MethodsMaslach Burnout Inventory,General Self-Efficacy Scale,Nursing Work Index-Revised and Nurses'Job Stressor Scale were used to investigate 239 clinical nurses from 2 tertiary first-class hospitals of Lianyungang City.Correlation and regression analysis were used to analyze the relationship between all the dimensions of nurse burnout,self-efficacy,professional nursing practice environment and job stressor.ResultsThe scores of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization were ( 23.95 ± 11.11 ) and (7.90 ± 6.58 ) respectively,indicating medium level of burnout.The score of decreased personal accomplishment was reverse coded,and the score was ( 27.51 ± 10.96),indicating a high level of burnout.Both work environment and self-efficacy were related to job burnout (P ＜ 0.05 or P ＜ 0.01 ).Environment played bigger roles in influencing emotional exhaustion and depersonalization,and self-efficacy influenced personal accomplishment more significantly.ConclusionMore attention should be paid to the improvement of nurses' self-efficacy and work environment in order ot reduce nurses'job burnout.

Objective To investigate the level and influencing factors of baccalaureate nursing students' core competency,and supply scientific reference for sustainable development of nursing career.Methods From May to June 2013,totally 280 baccalaureate nursing students from a third-level hospital in Tianjin were tested by the Chinese version of CINS edited by Li-Ling Hsu.Results The score of nursing students' core competency was (5.379±0.744),and the highest score was the moral and responsibility ability dimension (5.840 ±0.827),the lowest score was the critical thinking ability dimension (4.794 ± 1.105).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that ever finishing homework and preparing for the exam carefully,deciding the service units after graduation and gender were the influencing factors of nursing students' core competency.Conclusions Nursing students' core competency needs to be further improved.Nursing educators and managers should pay more attention to cultivate the nursing students' core competency,and develop strategies to enhance the level of baccalaureate nursing students' core competency.

Objective To determine the impact of baccalaureate nursing students' psychological capital on core competency.Methods A total of 280 baccalaureate nursing students from a certain third-level and grade-A hospital in Tianjin were tested by the Chinese version CINS Scale and Chinese version of PsyCap Scale.The relationship between psychological capital and core competency was analyzed.Results The mean score of psychological capital was (4.365±0.773),the mean score of core competency was (5.379±0.744).There were significant positive correlations between psychological capital and core competency.Regression analysis showed that the self-efficacy,hope and optimism could explain 42.6％ of the variance for baccalaureate nursing students' core competency.Conclusions Nursing educator and administrator should focus on the shortcomings of psychological capital,and take effective measures to enhance nursing students' psychological capital and improve the level of core competency.

Objective To study relationship between the level of serum ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM and PECAM-1 in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with acute cerebral infarction and its meaning.Methods From July 2014 to December 2015,60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction were chosen as the research object.They were divided into three groups according to severity of atherosclerosis:no plaque in 11 cases,22 cases of stable plaques and unstable plaque 27 cases.40 cases with acute cerebral infarction patients and 40 cases of patients with type 2 diabetes were selected as a disease control;and other 40 healthy subjects were selected as healthy controls.ELISA were used to detect ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM and PECAM 1 level.Neural function evaluation was made by the U.S national institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS).Results The ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM,PECAM 1 level in diabetic cerebral infarction group were higher than the other three groups,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05),while those of cerebral infarction group and diabetes group were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05),and those of cerebral infarction group and diabetes group has no statistical significance (P＞0.05).NIHSS score of diabetic cerebral infarction patients was (7.39 ± 1.72),which was higher than that of patients with cerebral infarction group (5.33 ± 1.49),the difference was statistically significant (t=4.376,P =0.019,P＜0.05).The serum ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM,PECAM 1 level of diabetic cerebral infarction patients was a positively correlated with NIHSS score (r=0.559,P=0.007;r=0.619,P=0.000;r=0.421,P=0.018;r=0.451,P=0.007).With diabetic cerebral infarction is aggravating,the severity of carotid plaques in patients with serum ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM,PECAM-1 level is on the rise (P＜0.05).Conclusion ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM,PECAM-1 levels in peripheral blood serum of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction have an abnormal increase,and ICAM,ALCAM,VCAM,PECAM-1 level is closely related to the neurologic deficits and the severity of carotid artery plaque of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction patients.

Although there are many drugs for the treatment'of cerebral infarction, no satisfactory efficacy has achieved. Mesenehymal stromal cells (MSCs) have multilineage differentiation potential and self-renewing capability, and can differentiate into neurons. The transplanted MSCs can improve neurological deficit after cerebral infarction, promote the recovery of neurological function, and thereby reduce the disability of cerebral infarction through the mechanisms such as releasing nutritional factors and growth nutritional factors, promoting angiogenesis. The use of MSCs for cell transplantation is likely to be an ideal means in the treatment of cerebral infarction.

Objective To explore the relationship among structural empowerment,psychological empowerment and nurses' job burnout,and to provide new approach for relieving nurses' job burnout.Methods Conditions for Work Effectiveness Questionnaire-Ⅱ (CWEQ-Ⅱ),Psychological Empowerment Scale (PES),and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) were used to investigate 233 nurses working at three general tertiary-level hospitals in Tianjin.Results The total scores of structural empowerment,psychological empowerment,and burnout were (43.498 ±9.977),(38.871 ±7.052) and (45.489 ± 11.331),respectively.Relevant Analysis results showed that structural empowerment,psychological empowerment and nurses' job burnout had significant correlation,and the absolute value of coefficient of correlation between 0.358-0.560.The structural equation modeling results showed that fit indexes for fully mediating effect model were excellent(x2 =57.703,x2/df =1.202,GFI =0.965,AGFI =0.933,NFI =0.948,RFI =0.916,IFI =0.991,TLI =0.985,CFI =0.991,RMSEA =0.030,CN =263).Structural empowerment had a positive significant influence on psychological empowerment; structural empowerment and psychological empowerment had a negative significant influence on nurses' job burnout; psychological empowerment played a fully mediating role between structural empowerment and nurses' job burnout.Conclusion Nurse psychological empowerment has direct effect on job burnout.Nurse structrual empowerment affects job burnout via the full effects of psychological empowerment.
