Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2016;15(12):945-948
Objective To investigate infection status and distribution characteristics of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)infection among voluntary blood donors in Xiangyang area in 2009-2014,and provide evidence for re-cruiting blood donors from low-risk population. Methods Blood specimens of 326 856 voluntary blood donors in Xiangyang area between January 2009 and December 2014 were detected anti-HIV with enzyme linked immunosor-bent assay(ELISA),positive specimens in HIV screening were performed confirmatory testing, epidemiological analysis was conducted on the positive detection results. Results 41 (0.13‰ )voluntary blood donors were con-firmed positive for HIV in Xiangyang area, positive rate among each year was significantly different (χ2 =27 801.87,P<0.01). Except marital status and infection routes, difference in positive rates among donors of dif-ferent gender, age, area, occupation, educational attainments, and number of blood donation were all significantly different(all P<0.01). Among HIV-infected voluntary blood donors,87.80% were male,41.46% and 31.71%were aged between 18-25 and 36-45 respectively,56.10% were through heterosexual transmission, and 43.90%were through male homosexual transmission. The percentage of workman and public service personnel infected with HIV were high, accounting for 21 .95% and 17.07% respectively,60.97% of confirmed positive HIV were from city area,56.10% only received junior middle school/technical secondary school education,65.85% of HIV-infec-ted persons were infected at the initial donation. Conclusion In order to ensure blood safety, blood center should in-crease publicity efforts, carry out health consultation before blood donation, and recruit blood donors from low-risk populations, nucleic acid detection should be carried out to shorten HIV detection window period.

Objective To observe the preventive and therapeutic effects of Sagittara Sagittifolia L. Xiao-Zhi Pills on nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in rats. Methods Rat NASH models were established and the rats were divided randomly into five groups: the normal group, model group, high-dosage group and low-dosage groups of the treatment, and Dongbao Gantai positive drug group. Histopathological changes of the liver were observed. The levels of MDA, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and NO (nitric oxide) in the liver homogenate were determined. Expressions of cyclooxygenase-2 (cox-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in the liver were determined with immunohistochemical technique. Results In model group, extensive adipose degeneration and inflammatory cell infiltration were found in the liver. Compared with those in normal group, SOD activities in model group were obviously decreased (P<0.01), the contents of MDA and NO were obviously increased (P<0.01), and the expressions of cox-2 and iNOS proteins were obviously increased (P<0.01). Compared with those in model group, the activities of SOD in treatment groups were obviously increased (P<0.01), the contents of MDA and NO were obviously decreased (P<0.01), and the expressions of COX-2 and iNOS proteins were obviously decreased (P<0.01). The effect of high-dosage group was more obvious than that of Dongbao Gantai group (P<0.05). Conclusion Sagittara Sagittifolia L. Xiao-Zhi Pills can effectively prevent and treat nonalcoholic steatohepatitis in rats, and its mechanism may be associated with ameliorating hepatocellular steatosis, removing the free radicals and enhancing the anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation capability.

[Objective] To explore the relativity between sPG and gastritis of H.pylori. [Method] Select 73 cases of chronic gastritis correctly diagnosed by gastric microscope and pathology, among which, 36 were chronic atrophic gastritis and 36 chronic superficial gastritis. 49 cases of positive H.pylori were administered with Lizhu Weisanlian tablets, measure the sPG before and after treatment. [Result] In the infected cases of H.pylori, PG Ⅰ was similar between atrophic gastritis and superficial gastritis; for PG Ⅱ value, atrophic gastritis group was more than superficial gastritis group, positive H.pylori patients higher than negative ones; PGR(PG Ⅰ/PG Ⅱ) was lower in atrophic gastritis group than superficial one, so was in positive H.pylori than negative one. After anti-H.pylori treatment, 87.75% patients were removed H.pylori, where the PG Ⅰ rose, PG Ⅱ lowered, PGR rose in atrophic gastritis group; in the superficial one where the H.pylori was not removed, no changes happened to PG Ⅰ, PG Ⅱ and PGR. In superficial gastritis group where the H.pylori was not removed, PGR rose. [Conclusion] H.pylori infection is correlated with sPG. Serum PG Ⅰ, PG Ⅱ and PGR have definite value in early diagnosing H.pylori concerned atrophic gastritis. PGR can be an index to evaluate the removal efficacy of H.pylori.
