1.Evaluation of the impact in longterm application of finished product of homogenate meal on senior patients with chronic diseases

BACKGROUND: Homogenate meals, as a replacement of normal diet, can be used in either hospitals or families. The homogenate meal as nutritious supplements should contain multiple components when it is applied in senior patients with chronic diseases because of the longterm application and complex complications.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the impact of longterm tube feed of finished product of homogenate meal on the nutritious supplements of senior patients.DESIGN: A cross-sectional study based on diagnosis.SETTING, PARTICIPANTS and METHODS: Totally 24 senior patients with chronic diseases who had been used self-made finished products of homogenate meal for more than 1 year were selected for nutritious supplement from Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Area Command of Chinese PLA. The changes of nutritious index at before and 4, 8 and 12 months after supplement were observed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Anthropometric measurement index and laboratorial index of 24 senior patients with chronic diseases before and after intervention were compared.RESULTS: Serous albumin at before nutritious supplements, and 4, 8 and 12 months after supplements were[ (36.4 ± 4.03), (36.60 ± 4.42),(38.20 ± 3.77), and(40.40 ± 3. 33) ] g/L respectively. Phosphorus and peripheral lymphocytes were significantly heightened while blood sugar began to decrease since 4 months after intervention, which all had significant differences compared with that of before intervention( t =2. 196 -2. 356,P <0.05; t=2.958-3.431. P <0.01) .Anthropometric measurement index also improved compared with that of before intervention.CONCLUSION: Longterm application of finished product of homogenate meal can improve the nutritious status of senior patients with chronic diseases.
2.The research of different diet modes of patients with hemoptysis of pulmonary tuberculosis after embolism operation

Objective To discuss the influences of fasting on the embolism adverse reactions, sense of hunger, blood amylase, blood glucose and anxiety of patients with hemoptysis of pulmonary tuberculosis after embolism operation. Methods Selected 92 cases of patients with hemoptysis of pulmonary tuberculosis who have taken bronchial artery embolism in Pulmonary hospital of Changsha central hospital from June 2014 to December 2015,randomly divided the patients into three groups according to operating date, namely, the non-fasting group, 6h fasting group and 24h fasting group. The non-fasting group have routine diet after the operation; the 6h fasting group and 24h fasting group respectively fasted for 6 hours and 24 hours. Then compared the embolism adverse reactions, sense of hunger, blood amylase, blood glucose and anxiety of the patients in the three groups so as to check whether there is difference. Results Before operation, there was not significant difference in adverse reaction of embolism, sense of hunger, anxiety, blood glucose and amylase between the three groups (P > 0.05). After operation, there was significant difference in hunger sense of difference between the three groups(F=13.308,P<0.05), the hunger sense of 24 h fasting group was more serious than 6h fasting group than non-fasting group;the anxiety score of 24h fasting group is higher than the other two(F=6.509,P<0.05), and the value of the next morning fasting blood glucose in fasting group 24h is higher than other two(F=6.642,P<0.050). comparing the score of anxiety in 6h fasting group and non-fasting group, there was not significant difference, and comparing the post-embolism adverse reaction, 72 h blood amylase of all three groups and these groups one to one, there was also not significant difference ( P>0.05). Conclusion Fasting will cause and intensify the sense of hunger, anxiety and nutrition disorder of patients with hemoptysis of pulmonary tuberculosis after embolism.
3.Chronic toxicity test of fangyouling by transdermal administration in rabbits

Objective To observe the toxicity of fangyouling after one month’s transdermal administration in rabbits and evaluate its security. Methods Forty rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups including a control group and low,middle and high dose groups of fangyouling. The rabbits in the control group were administered with sunflower oil,and the other rabbits were administrated dermally with fangyouling of 50,300 and 2 000 mg/kg respectively once a day for 4 weeks. The general con?dition,the skin irritation reaction,body weight,food consumption,hematology,blood biochemistry,organ coefficients and his?topathological changes of all the rabbits were observed. Results There was no obvious effect on the general condition in all the rabbits. However,the mild skin irritation was observed in 2 rabbits of the middle dose group and 4 rabbits of the high?dose group. The decreases of body weight and food consumption were noted in the high dose group. No changes were detected of hema?tology,blood biochemistry or viscera pathological at all dose levels. Conclusion The dose of non?toxic response of fangyouling is 50 mg/kg at this study condition.
4.Effect of ferulic acid on the proliferation of, as well as melanin synthesis, tyrosinase activity and expressions of c-kit and ERK proteins in keratinocytes

Objective To evaluate the in vitro effect of ferulic acid on the proliferation of,as well as melanin synthesis,tyrosinase activity and expressions of c-kit and ERK proteins in cultured normal human epidermal melanocytes.Methods Cultured normal human epidermal melanocytes were treated with various concentrations of ferulic acid for different durations,and those remaining untreated served as the control.Then,3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium,inner salt (MTS) assay was performed to estimate cell proliferative activity at 24,48 and 72 hours,sodium hydroxide solubilization method to quantify melanin content in melanocytes at 72 hours,dopa oxidation assay to evaluate tyrosinase activity at 72 hours,Western blot to measure the expressions of c-kit and ERK1/2 proteins at 72 hours.Results Cellular proliferative activity was significantly inhibited in melanocytes treated with ferulic acid of 0.01,0.1 and 1 mg/ml for 24,48 and 72 hours compared with untreated melanocytes (all P < 0.05),and the 72-hour treatment with ferulic acid of 1 mg/ml showed the strongest inhibitory effect.Ferulic acid at 0.01,0.1 and 1 mg/ml all markedly suppressed melanin synthesis and tyrosinase activity,decreased the expressions of c-kit and ERK1/2 proteins in melanocytes,with significant differences in these parameters between ferulic acid-treated and untreated melanocytes (all P < 0.05).Conclusions Ferulic acid could downregulate the proliferation of,as well as melanin synthesis,tyrosinase activity,and expressions of c-kit and ERK proteins in cultured human epidermal melanocytes.
5.Preparation of Shichangpu Double Layer Tablets

Objective To prepare Shichangpu Double Layer Tablets. Methods The release of the sustained-release layer (SRL) was used as the response parameters and uniform design with alterable levels was used to optimize the recipe of SRL of Shichangpu Double Layper Tablets. Fast-release layer (FRL) was made from water extraction by ultra-filtration. Results The dissolution kinetics of SRL could follow zero-order equation and FRL showed good prosperities for fast release in 10 min. Conclusion The in vitro release of SRL of Shichangpu Double Layer Tablets testifies the significant sustained release action and FRL disintigrates rapidly. The preparation technology of Shichangpu Double Layer Tablet is reliable and simple.
6.Short-term result of prosthetic ring annuloplasty used in patients with tricuspid valve insufficiency

Objective To discuss the short-term results of tricuspid valve annuloplasty with prosthetic ring.Methods Tricuspid valve annuloplasty with prosthetic ring was performed in 34 patients with organic or functionaltricuspid valve insufficiency. At the same time atrial septal defect and ventrieular septal defect were closed valve re-placement was done. Results There was no in-hospital death. Echocardiography was done about one week after oper-ations,which showed that fight ventricle or pulmonary artery were smaller than that before operation in all patients andresidual tricuspid valve insufficiency was found mild in 11 cases, moderate in 2 cases. Conclusion Tricuspid valveannuloplnsy should be performed in patients with organic or functional tricuspid valve insufficiency. Better short-termresults may be got when prosthetic ring was used to small tricuspid annulus.
7.Effect of Propofol Target-controlled Infusion on Extubation Time of Patients with ENT Surgery under the Narcotrend Classification Guidance

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of propofol target-controlled infusion on extubation time in patients with ENT surgery under Narcotrend classification guidance. METHODS:52 patients with endotracheal intubation intravenous anesthesia and minimally invasive ENT surgery received target-controlled infusion for anesthesia induction and anesthesia. NI value, plasma concentration of propofol(cm),mean arterial pressure(MAP),pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2)before anesthesia and different time points in recovery period,the correlation of NI with propofol cm of all patients were recorded,and NI with propofol cm and time when extubation was omalysed. 8.Effect of rosuvastatin combined with irbesartan on remodeling of myocar-dial hypertrophy in rats

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To evaluate the effect of rosuvastatin combined with irbesartan on the remodeling of myocar -dial hypertrophy in the rats.METHODS:Male SD rats (n=50) were randomly divided into control group, model group, rosuvastatin group , irbesartan group and combination group .The model of myocardial hypertrophy was established by sub-cutaneous injection of isoproterenol at dose of 2.5 mg/kg for 14 d.From the first day of modeling , the rats in control group and model group received intragastrical saline , and the rats in rosuvastatin group , irbesartan group and combination group were treated with rosuvastatin (4 mg· kg-1 · d-1 ), irbesartan (15 mg· kg-1 · d-1 ) and rosuvastatin (4 mg· kg -1 · d-1)+irbesartan (15 mg· kg-1· d-1), respectively.The interventions continued for 4 weeks.After the interventions, the cardiac mass index and left ventricular mass index of the SD rats were measured .Besides, the degree of myocardial hy-pertrophy was observed with HE staining .The mRNA expression of hypertrophy-related factors, such as ANF,β-MHC and AT1R was determined by RT-PCR, and the protein expression of AT1R was determined by Western blot .RESULTS:Compared with control group , the cardiac mass index , left ventricular mass index , as well as the mRNA expression of ANF andβ-MHC in model group were significantly increased (P<0.05).Compared with model group, the above factors in ro-suvastatin group and irbesartan group were decreased ( P<0.05 ) , and the factors in combination group were lower than those in rosuvastatin group and irbesartan group (P<0.05).In addition, the expression of AT1R at mRNA and protein levels in rosuvastatin group and irbesartan group was lower than that in model group ( P<0.05 ) , while the expression AT1R at mRNA and protein levels in combination group was lower than that in rosuvastatin group and irbesartan group (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Rosuvastatin and irbesartan are equally effective drugs to resist the formation of myocardial hypertrophy by decreasing the expression of AT 1R.Moreover, combination of the 2 drugs is more effective to improve the degree of myocardial hypertrophy than the 2 drugs alone .

Two cell strains from human pancreatic cancer taken surgically were transplanted to the pancreas of pureline BALB/C-nu/nu nude mice and 9 generations of PTNMP-1 and 6 generations of PTNMP-2 were obtained. Biological properties were studied. It yielded a transplant success rate of 95% - 100% and large amount of CEA. Analysis of the karyotype confermed that they retained the karyotype of human cancer cells. Some lymphatic and blood stream metastasis and invasion could be found in the nude mice orthotopically transplanted with tumour, showing that the transplanted tumour had characteristics identical with the donor tumour.
