Objective To investigate the correlation between the life quality and social supports in patients with hepatolenticular degeneration(HLD).Methods The Social Support Scale(SSRS)and the Quality of Life Scale(WHOQOL-100)were used for the investigation among 30 HLD patients as HLD group and 30 healthy people as the control group so as to study the correlation between the quality of life of HLD patients and the social supports.Results The total score on the quality of life in HLD group was significantly lower than that of the control group(273.60±15.24 vs.345.53±2.70,P<0.01),so it was with all the items of the quality of life scale.The total score on the social supports of the HLD group was significantly lower than the control group(35.73±1.72 vs.45.50±1.68,P<0.01),so it was with all the items of the social supports(all P<0.01).The total score on the quality of life together with the items was positively correlated with that of the total score on the social support(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusions The quality of life and social support for the HLD patients is significantly lower than those for healthy people.Their quality of life is positively related with the social supports,which means the more social support they get,the better their quality of life is.

Objective To analyze the cause of lower limbs swelling after knee arthroscopy operation, and compare the effect of gravity and pump irrigation system on lower limbs swelling after operation. Methods 60 patients after knee arthroscopic surgery were divided into the pump irrigation group and the gravity group with 30 patients in each group. We measured the perimeter of the lower limb pre and post operation and compared the operation time of each group. Results There were no significant differences in the perimeter of the lower limb and operation time between the gravity group and the pump irrigation group. Conclusions During knee arthroscopic surgery which cost less than 1 hour, there was no inlluence on lower limbs swelling whether using gravity or pump irrigation system.

The present paper analyzed actualities and shortages of traditional comfortable air-conditioning system(ACS) in utilizing fresh air, airflow organise, air purge and maintenance to assure indoor environment healthy, and presented a valid ways to improve ACS. Elaborated that in order to assure indoor environment healthy, reasonable, effective use of fresh air, airflow organise, air purge and maintenance will be the key of change from comfortable ACS to healthy comfortable ACS.

This article explains four cases of professor REN Ji-xue,including anasarca,serious blepharoptosis,head cold,summer diarrhea,from which we can find the laws of syndrome differentiation by him. In which,the key point of the pathogenesis of anasarca is spleen-qi deficiency, so replenishing qi and invigorating the spleen, warming yang for diuresis are the treatment nethod for anasarca. Sinking of qi due to deficiency of spleen leads to serious blepharoptosis and Invigorating Spleen and Replenishing Qi Decoction is the main prescription. The key pathogenesis of head cold is disharmony of nutrient qi with defensive qi, so regulating ying and wei, dispersing lung qi for resuscitation are the treatment methods, and both inside and outside therapies are in use. Cold-damp invasion of spleen is the main cause of summer diarrhea, so activating qi flowing and warming spleen and stomach, dissipating dampness for stopping diarrhea are used. Professor REN Ji-xue is good at taking different method according to different key point of the pathogenesis, so the efficiency is good. This is one feature of Professor REN in treating miscellaneous diseases.

Recent studies have demonstrated that endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition ( EndMT) plays a pivotal role in the cardiovascular system, spanning cardiovascular development through to cardiovascular diseases (CVD).In this review, we describe the common signaling mechanisms that promote EndMT participating in the pathological process of CVD, and we discuss how these in-tracellular cascades participate in crosstalk to integrate cues to reverse EndMT, which potentially may provide novel therapeutic oppor-tunities for CVD.

Objective To discuss the expression and clinical significance of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-C and nm23-H1 in colorectal carcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemical staining was employed to determine the expression of VEGF-C and nm23-H1 in the carcinoma tissues of 120 cases with colorectal carcinoma and in the adjacent mucosal tissues of 55 cases as control,and analyzed their correlation with cliniopathological features and prognosis.Results The positive expression of VEGF-C in the carcinoma tissues was 71.7％ (86/120),significantly higher than that in the adjacent mucosal tissues [21.8 ％ (12/55)],and there was significant difference (x2 =35.186,P ＜ 0.01).The positive expression of nm23-H1 in the carcinoma tissues was 57.5％ (69/120),significantly lower than that in the adjacent mucosal tissues [90.9％ (50/55)],and there was significant difference (x2 =18.351,P ＜ 0.01).The expression of VEGF-C was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis (P ＜ 0.05),and the expression of nm23-H 1was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and pathological type (P ＜0.01 or ＜0.05).The expression of VEGF-C and nm23-H1 did not show a significant correlation with gender,age,tumor size,tumor site and depth of invasion (P ＞ 0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression of VEGF-C was negatively correlated with the expression of nm23-H 1 in colorectal carcinoma (r =-0.472,P ＜0.01).Conclusions The joint detection of VEGF-C and nm23-H1 expression is very promising in prediction of the prognosis of patients with colorectal carcinoma.However,whether it can be used as a marker in prognosis judgment need further investigation.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the management method of hospital medical waste in nursing activity,prevent from the pollutant proliferation,and avoid the second exposure.METHODS Reinforced the management of the medical waste,established the management network of medical waste,and made the training of all staffs,we drew up a series of effective measures according to the law and regulation.RESULTS Various plan and measure were done, nursing personnel were fully aware of the importance of the environmental protection.(medical) waste(management) was much better than before.The infection which related to the medical waste was not occurred.(CONCLUSIONS) Doing well management of the medical waste is depending on some conditions,which are as(follows:)(1)the leaders pay more attention to;(2)strengthen the training of all staffs;and(3)the management system is sound.

Objective To explore Angptl2(angiopoietin-like protein 2)expression in tumor tis-sue and serum in patients with breast cancer(BC). Methods A total of 78 BC patients were enrolled in this study. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect Angptl2 expression in tumor and adjacent normal tis-sues. Preoperative and postoperative serum Angptl2 levels were determined via ELISA. Correlation among Angptl2 expression,clinicopathological factors and progression-free survival(PFS)were further evalua-ted. The receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve was constructed to describe diagnostic specificity and sensitivity. Results Angptl2 was positively expressed in 64(82. 1% )cases. The rates of high and moderate expression of Angpt l2 in tumor and adjacent tissues were 53. 8%(42 / 78)and 7. 7%(6 / 78), respectively(P ﹤ 0. 001). Moreover,the elevated Angptl2 protein was significantly associated with lymph metastasis and adverse PFS. In addition,serum Angptl2 level in BC patients was significantly higher than that in benign controls[(218. 72 ± 88. 02)vs(80. 88 ± 30. 59)ng/ ml,P ﹤ 0. 01]. The area under the curve(AUC)was 0. 909,which indicated a good function for diagnosis. Postoperative serum Angptl2 level was decreased to(142. 43 ± 60. 29)ng/ ml,but still higher than that in controls(P ﹤ 0. 01). Conclusion The expression of Angptl2 may increase in tumor tissue and serum of BC and it may be a potential tumor marker for diagnosis and prognosis.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of application of lafutidine treated in curing peptic ulcer.Methods Eighty-four patients with peptic ulcer were randomly assigned to receive either lafutidine(10 mg) twice daily in 42 patients of cured group or lansoprazole (30 mg) once daily for 4 weeks in 42 patients of control group.Ulcer healing rate and clinical performance were examined after treatment.Results The first,third and seventh day of peptic ulcer healing rate were 38.09％ (16/42), 71.42％ (30/42) and 90.47％ (38/42) in the lansoprazole group and 23.81％ (10/42), 76.19％ (32/42) and 85.71％ (36/42) in the lafutidine group.There were no siginificant difference between two groups (P =0.157,0.620, 0.736).Gastroscope examination showed the complete healing rate, average healing rate and general clinical effectiveness were 61.90％(26/42) ,30.95％(13/42) and 97.61％(41/42) in the lansoprazole group,while the number for lafutidine group were 57.14％ (24/42), 28.57％ (12/42) and 95.23％ (40/42).There were no siginificant difference between two groups (P =0.657, 0.811, 1.000).No severe side-effect was occurred in both groups.Conclusion Use Lafutidine to cure peptic ulcer can promote healing effectively, improve patients' clinical symptoms which is similar to lansoprazole.
