Objective To establish rat heart failure(HF)model following myocardial infarction(MI)and then detect the possible cytokines expression levels at different HF groups,so to explore the development of cytokines levels during the progression of heart failure. Methods The model was established by ligature of the left descending coronary artery. The rats were assessed by echocardiography and cardiac catheterization before and after 4 and 16 weeks following coronary ligature.Serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were determined. Results ①Serum cytokines could not be detectable in sham group using ELISA Methods, while in operated group, the concentration of TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly higher, especially IL-6.②The diagnosis coincidence between echocardiography and hemodynamics was high.Echocardiography can be used as an invasive measure to assess cardiac function in rat heart failure models. Conclusion ①Cytokines content is higher in compensated compared with the other two groups, especially to the IL-6 expression.②Cardiac ultrasound can be used as a useful method in monitoring postinfarction heart failure rat model, especially as an invasive measure. It can provide us successive data of the model.

AIM:To observe the effect of Jingzhui Wentong (JZWT) Capsule (Ramulus Cinnamomi,Radix et Rhizoma clematidis,Radix Puerariae Lobatae,Radix Dipsaci, etc.) on somesthetic evoked potential (SEP),behavior and pathology of rat's cervical radiculitis induced by formalin. METHODS:Experiments were carried out:(1) 60 SD rats were divided randomly into 6 groups:control, model and Jingfukang groups, the high, moderate and low dose groups of JZWT Capsule. Rats of these groups were given water,Jingfukang or JZWT Capsule respectively, and SEP was tested after operation and 14 days after drugs were given to rats. At the same time, the animal behavior was observed daily. (2) 144 SD rats were divided into the same groups and given the same drugs as before. The nerve roots were taken out for pathological observation after 4,7,14,and 21 days with drug administration. RESULTS:In each drug group, the normal SEP was obviously restored, symptoms of encroached nerve were notably lightened, inflammatory reaction and proliferation tissue of mimic cervical radiculitis were more obviously alleviated than that in the model group of rat. CONCLUSION:JZWT Capsule can reduce significantly pathology change of mimic cervical radiculitis in rats, and promote the recovery of nerve function.

Objective To study dexamethasone and higher C-reactive protein(CRP) on effects of platelets concentrates(PC) transfusion for bleeding patients with thrombocytopenia. Methods To investigate peripheral blood platelets count, clinical bleeding before(CRP test simultaneously) and 12~16 hours after PC transfusion for 45 non-fever,non-splenomegaly and non-DIC(disseminated intravascular coagulation,DIC) patients with leukemia, aplastic anemia,or solid tumor chemotherapy, which had bleeding and needed PC transfusion. All cases were divided into two groups:CRP normal and CRP higher one according to their CRP results. Each group were also classified as non-dexamethasone and dexamethasone division(10mg dexamethasone intravenous injection before transfusions) respectively,in order to analyze the relationships between effects of PC transfusion and serum levels of CRP or dexamethasone. Results The peripheral blood platelets counts (33.2?9.2)?109/L after PC transfusions in CRP normal group were more than that (25.4?10.4)?109/L,in CRP higher group, with significant differences(t=4.42,P

Two patients with coexistence of thyroid disease and suspected Gitelman's syndrome underwent SLC12A3 gene analysis. The results confirmed that both patients were compound heterozygotes of SLC12A3 gene mutation. Three novel variants of SLC12A3 were found in this study. This report suggests that Gitelman's syndrome may coexist with other disorders associated with hypokalemia, such as Graves' disease.

Objective To investigate the risk factors of postoperative complications in spinal tuberculosis surgery, and try to find a way to improve the results of perioperative management and reduce or avoid the postoperative complications. Methods All of 172 cases of spinal tuberculosis who were treated by surgery from February 2005 to January 2013 in orthopedic department of Zhongshan hospital,Fudan University were retrospectively analyzed. There were 88 males and 84 females, whose average age was 50.9± 18.7y (18-84y).Among them 98 cases got cold abscess, and 56 cases had tuberculosis poisoning symptoms. The lesions located mostly in thoracic spine (112/172,65.1%) and lumbar spine (40/172,23.3%),while rarely in cervical or sacral spine.2 intervertebral spaces were involved in 116 cases (67.4%),more than 2 intervertebral spaces were involved in 32 cases (18.6%),and single intervertebral space were involved in the rest cases (14.0%).38 cases were treated through single anterior approach,54 cases were treated by anterior-posterior surgical approach, and single posterior approach was performed in 80 cases.58 cases were suffered from neurological dysfunction. All the postoperative complications and related clinical parameters during hospitalization period were collected and analyzed with SPSS software. Each clinical parameter was analyzed with univariate analysis to find the factors related to postoperative complications, and then the related factors were analyzed by multivariate regression analysis. Results All of 172 patients were included and 41.9% (72/172) of the patients suffered from postoperative complications.System complications were the most common (33.7%,58/172).The rates of local complications were 10.5% (18/172).Univariate analysis showed that the lesion site, value of hemoglobin, electrolyte disturbances, postoperative ASIA score and blood loss were related with postoperative complications.Posterior approach related with local complications.Multivariate regression analysis showed that preoperative hemoglobin <100 g/L,poor postoperative ASIA scores and long period of preoperative anti-TB treatment (>28 days) were related with the system or local postoperative complications. Conclusion Patients with anemia (hemoglobin < 100g/L),poor postoperative neurological function and long period of preoperative anti-TB treatment could take more risks of the postoperative complications.

The hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors.Patients with hepatobiliary cancer suffer from multiple symptoms, such as physical symptoms and psychology symptoms. In recent years, along with the further research of symptoms, the concept of symptom clusters occurred. Those two issues have always been the hot topics in recent years.Through the efforts of experts at home and abroad, there has been a part of progress in this area. However, the results are not the same. There are lots of disputes in the numbers、sequence、incidences of the symptom clusters. The paper will discuss this issue from symptom experience and symptom clusters in order to provide the reference and basis for symptom management.
