1.Clinical Observation of Pricking Jing-well Points in Treating Acute Bell’s Palsy

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of pricking and bleeding the Jing-well points with three-edge needle in treating acute Bell’s palsy.Method Sixty patients with Bell’s palsy were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 30 in each group. In addition to the regular Chinese and Western medicine treatment for Bell’s palsy, the observation group also received pricking and bleeding treatment with three-edge needle at the Jing-well points. The House-Brackman (H-B) Scale and R wave in blink reflex (BR) were observed.Result The total effective rate was 93.0% in the observation group, significantly higher than 90.0% in the control group (P<0.05). The H-B score significantly increased in both groups after intervention (P<0.05). The observation group was significantly higher than the control group in comparing H-B score at the end of first and second treatment course (P<0.05). The R1 and R2 waves in BR increased markedly after intervention in both groups (P<0.05); the observation group was significantly higher than the control group in comparing R1 wave (P<0.05), and R2 wave only at the end of the first course (P<0.05) but not at the end of the second course (P>0.05).Conclusion Combining pricking and bleeding the Jing-well points with three-edge needle in the treatment of Bell’s palsy can enhance the therapeutic efficacy and promote the recovery of the facial nerve function.
2.Observation of the effect of pulmonary surfactant-associated proteins combined with ambroxol in the treat-ment of 180 children with congenital alveolar dysplasia neonatal respiratory distress syndrome

Objective To observe the effect of pulmonary surfactant-associated proteins ( Kelisu) combined with ambroxol in the treatment of 180 congenital alveolar dysplasia children with neonatal respiratory distress syndrome ( NRDS) .Methods According to random number table ,180 congenital alveolar dysplasia children with NRDS were randomly divided into the observation group and control group , 90 cases in each group .In addition to conventional therapy,the control group was given ambroxol hydrochloride treatment ,the observation group was given Kelisu on thebasis of treatment of the control group.The treatment effect was compared between the two groups .Results Comparedwith the control group,after treatment the values of PaO2 and pH were significantly increased,PaCO2 significantly decreasedin the observation group(t =5.91,13.16,29.89,2.98,5.11,8.13,all P <0.05).The duration of mechanicalventilation,length of hospital stay were (45.30 ±5.35)h,(10.01 ±2.24)d in the observation group,respectively,which were significantly better than[(68.27 ±6.13)h,(17.24 ±2.39)d]in the control group(t =26.78,20.94,all P <0.05).Conclusion Kelisu combined with hydrochloride ambroxol can significantly improve hypoxia symp -toms in NRDS children,reduce the duration of mechanical ventilation and length of hospital stay ,improve the prognosis.

AIM: To investigate the growth inhibition effects of CDA-II on breast cancer cells. METHODS: The effects of CDA-II on growth curve and morphology of breast carcinoma cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were observed in vitro cultures. RESULTS: CDA-II reduced the growth speed and proliferation ability. CONCLUSION: CDA-II has remarkable effects on anti-cell-proliferation and shows good prospects of application in the treatment of patients with breast carcinoma.

5.Content Determination of Berberine in Huangju Detoxication Tablets

Objective To establish the method to determine the content of berberine in Huangju Detoxication Tablets. Methods HPLC was used with Diarnonnsil C_(18) (4.6 mmr250 mm, 5 lm) as column, acetonitrile-0.033 mol/L potassium dihydrogen phosphate (30 : 70) as mobile phase, detection wavelength was at 265 nm, flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. Results In berberine range of 0.0432~0.864 ?g, the escope and content of the sample peak area had a good linear relationship, reproducibility of RSD=0.89% (n =6), and the average recovery rate was 99.64% and RSD=0.74% (n =5). Conclusion This method is stable, reliable, with high sensitivity and good reproducibility, and can be used for quality control of Huangju Detoxication Tablets.
6.Effect of Rosuvastatin on Carotid Arterial Intima-media Thickness of Elderly Patients

Objective:To investigate the effect of rosuvastatin on carotid arterial intima-media thickness of elderly patients and its comparison with simvastatin.Method:126 patients hospitalized during January and August 2008 were randomly divided into a treatment group and a cotrolled group.All the patients were male and older than 70 years old,and their mean age was 78.9?8.8 years.63 patients accepted the rosovastatin therapy and 63 patients accepted the simvastatin therapy.Result:After 8-weeks'therapy,CIMT was reduced from 1.58?0.24mm before the treatment to 1.44?0.22mm after it.There was no difference between the two groups in decreasing CIMT.No adverse events related to the study medication were observed.Conclusion:The treatment with rsuvastatin can prevent the increase of carotid arteriosclerosis in eldlerly patients without any difference in decreasing CIMT,compared with simvastatin.
7.The Effect of Continuous Quality Improvement in the Prevention of Ventilator-associated Pneumonia

[Objective] To investigate the result from continuous quality improvement of care management in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneu-monia(VAP).[Method] The ICU patients from June to December 2010 were selected in a control group before the continuous quality improvement ,and the ICU patients from January to June 2011 were selected in the observation group after the continuous quality improvement. Before and after the contin-uous quality improvement,to investigate and analyze their knowledge on VAP and their adherence of continuing implementation about the VAP bundle nursing strategy in 26 medical staff.[Results] After the continuous quality improvement ,there was more significantly difference in their knowledge on VAP and their adherence of continuing implementation about the VAP bundle nursing strategy than before. By the continuous quality improvement, the VAP infection rate decreased from 41.2%to 23.7%,and the difference was statistical y significant. [Conclusion] In the care management for preventing VAP ,the application of continuous quality improvement management can increase the awareness of VAP ,improve the implementation of VAP prevention and con-trol measures,and reduce the incidence of VAP.
8.Determination of Nuezhenide and Apigenin 7-O-neohesperidoside in Shanxiangyuan tablets by HPLC

ObjectiveTo establish a method for the determination of Nuezhenide and Apiganin 7-O-neohesperidoside in Shanxiangyuan tablets.Methods The Luna C1s column was used,the mobile phase consisted of HCN-0.5%H3PO4(41 ∶ 59),the flow rate was 1.0 ml/min,the column temperature was 30℃,the UV detector was set at 336nm.Results The linear response range was 0.016~0.32 mg/ml (r=0.9997) and 0.006~0.11 mg/ml respectively.The average recovery rate was 99.0% and 97.5% respectively,RSD was 1.83% and 1.57% respectively,ConclusionThe method was simple,accurate and repeatable.It can be applied in quantitative determination of Nuezhenide and Apigenin 7-O-neohesperidoside in Shanxiangyuan tablets.
9.Comparison of clinical effectiveness of peripherally inserted central catheters and peripheral intravenous catheters in tumour chemotherapy

Objective To investigate the clinical effectiveness of peripherally inserted central catheters(PICC) and peripheral intravenous catheters(PIV) in tumor chemotherapy. Methods A total of 180 patients with intravenous chemotherapy were randomly divided into two groups. 108 patients in the PICC group, 72 patients in the PIV group. The holding time and complications were observed and compared. Results The rate of complication in the PICC group were much lower than the PIV group, however was much longer than the PIV group in holding time. But there was no statistical difference in the positive culture rate of bacteria of two groups. Conclusions It is very safe to use PICC which can reduce the rate of complication of catheters and venipuncture times and is worthy of spreading in practice.
10.Clinical observations of acupuncture on treatment of strabismus acquired paralysis

Objective To observe treatment efficacy of acupuncture on the acquired paralysls.Methods Clear diagnosis of acquired paralysis patients 105 cases of sexual walleye were selected.Randomly divided into two groups.Therapy unit gave acupuncture therapy.Results Ridit analysis of the two sets of efficacy(P < 0.05) ,significantly better in the treatment group than the control group treatment time is short group(P <0.01).Follow-up six months.No relapse.Conclusion Acupuncture treatment efficacy exact onset of acquired paralysis.
