Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a kind of devastating secondary glaucoma characterized by neovascularization in iris and anterior chamber angle,which often results in loss of vision.The current standard of treatment includes retinal ablation and control of enhanced intraocular pressure with drugs and surgical therapy.There are a lot of surgical therapies of NVG,while the prognosis of these therapies are not satisfactory as most of them would be effected by different kinds of complications.Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation (AGVI) is one of the main treatments means being widely used with less postoperative complications,such as shallow anterior chamber,low intraocular pressure.Failure of AGVI mainly caused by fiber hyperplasia and neovascularization.AGVI combined with anti-fibrosis therapy and anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) therapy might be a promising method to promote surgical outcomes.It has been shown that AGVI combined with anti-VEGF drugs can improve the success rate of surgery.Besides,some researchers found that AGVI with intraoperative application of anti-fibrosis drugs,such as mitomycin C,sustained-release anti-fibrosis drugs can improve the prognosis of surgery in neovascular glaucoma patients.The progress of research on anti-fibrosis and anti-VEGF treatment combined with Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation was discussed in this review.

Background Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a refractory disease characterized by neovascularization,and its pathogenesis mechanism is still unelucidated.Researches showed that muhicytokins and inflammatory factors are associated with neovascularization,however,the correlation of these factors with NVG worth attention.Objective This study was to detect the vescular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in aqueous humor and plasma in NVG eyes and its significance.Methods A prospective cases-controlled study was performed under the approval of Ethic Committee of Shanghai East Hospital and informed consent of patients.Eight eyes of 8 NVG patients,10 eyes of 10 primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) patients and 10 eyes of age-related cataract (ARC) patients were entrolled in Shanghai East Hospital from May,2014 to March,2015.The periphery blood of 3-4 ml was collected from all the patients to prepare 0.3-0.4 ml serum,and 0.1-0.2 ml aqueous humor was collected during the surgery from each eye.The aqueous and serum levels of VEGF,TGF-β1 and IL-6 were measured by ELISA.Results The aqueous humor and plasma VEGF concentrations in NVG patients were (2 769.85 ± 390.88) pg/ml and (529.93 ± 95.20) pg/ml,respectively,which were higher than (208.12 ± 58.59) pg/ml and (219.28 ± 24.44) pg/ml in POAG patients as well as (158.88 ±12.35) pg/ml and (172.82±31.91)pg/ml in ARC patients,with significant differences among the three groups (aqueous:F=433.80,P＜0.01;plasma:F=103.84,P＜0.01).The levels of TGF-β1 in aqueous humor and plasma from NVG patients were (157.94±113.00)pg/ml and (3 895.78±2 318.00)pg/ml,showing significant increases in comparison with (54.48±35.58) pg/ml and (2 196.13±1 185.39) pg/ml in the POAG patients or (47.98±17.69) pg/ml and (1937.28±933.27) pg/ml in the ARC patients (aqueous:F =7.88,P＜0.01;plasma:F =4.18,P＜0.05).The concentration of IL-6 in aqueous humor and plasma were (234.87±41.64) pg/ml and (26.97±8.19) pg/ml from NVG patients,with considerable elavation in comparison with (38.97± 19.06)pg/ml and (19.54±5.11)pg/ml in the POAG patients or (29.48±14.61) pg/ml and (18.50±3.57) pg/ml in the ARC patients (aqueous:F =166.27,P＜0.01;plasma:F=5.59,P＜0.05).Conclusions The aqueous and plasma VEGF,TGF-β1 and IL-6 are considerably higher in NVG patients than those in POAG patients and ARC patients,suggesting that these cytokines participate in the pathogenesis and development of the NVG and probably are treating target of NVG.

Objective To evaluate expression of HDAC2 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)from glucocorticoid-resistant versus glucocorticoid-sensitive patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss and identi-ty the relationship between the level of HDAC2 and glucocorticoid insensitivity.Methods PBMCs were collected from10 patients with deviation of nasal septum (control group)and 20 sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients be-fore and after intratympanic methylprednisolone for 10 days.We divided the SSNHL patients into 2 groups (GC sensitive group and GC insensitive group)according to their hearing recovery.Real time PCR and HDAC2 Assay Kit were used to detect the expression level of HDAC2 mRNA and HDAC2 activity in PBMCs.The data were analyzed with SPSS 17.0 software.ResuIts Before intratympanic methylprednisolone,the level of HDAC2 activity were sig-nificantly depressed in SSNHL patients,while the HDAC2 mRNA expressing much higher than the control group. The expression level of HDAC2 mRNA increased significantly after intratympanic methylprednisolone.The HDAC2 activity in GC sensitive group increased significantly.ConcIusion Knockdown of HDAC2 expression induces corti-costeroid in-sensitivity.Glucocorticoids can increase the expression of HDAC2 mRNA.HDAC2 activity can be down-regulated by post-translational modifications.

This study was aimed to explore brain regions which were closely related to the disease onset of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) with liver-qi depression. The BOLD-functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was used in the study. The processing of imaging data was based on the SPM 8 software and the REST software of the matlab platform. Each cluster was more than 389 continuous voxel. The brain region with single voxel of P < 0.05 (corrected) was defined as region with statistical significance. The 2 Sample T-Test was applied in the case group and the control group. The results showed that compared with the normal control group, the frontal lobe, occipital lobe, insula, limbic lobe, basal nuclei, and cingulate gyrus were activated in the PMS with liver-qi depression cases. It was concluded that the disease onset of PMS with liver-qi depression cases was related to brain regions such as frontal lobe, occipital lobe, insula, limbic lobe, basal nuclei, and cingulate gyrus.

OBJECTIVE:To facilitate the hierachical management and use of antibiotics and tighten control on prescription right on the narcotics drugs.METHODS:Hospital informational system has contributed to the informatization management on supervision of the prescriptions of antibiotics and narcotics.RESULTS:After half a year's practice of informatization management,remarkable outcome has achieved in that the practice of hierachical management and use of antibiotics has been improved significantly,and the management on the prescription right of narcotics drugs became more simple and reliable.CONCLUSIONS:Adopting hospital information system to tighten control on the prescriptions of antibiotics and narcotics drugs is a good management model in which various abnormal prescription behaviors can be effectively warned of and guard against from the very beginning.

Simple sequence repeat (SSR) was used to investigate the genetic diversity and structure of Dendrobium officinale. A total of 15 primer pairs with stable and repeatable polymorphism were screened out from 60 SSR primer pairs developed by the method of microsatellite enrichment by magnetic beads. Forty-eight samples of Dendrobium officinale were analyzed in genetic polymorphism. These loci were polymorphic and displayed 3 to 9 alleles per locus with a mean number of 6.1. The observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.60 to 0.85 and from 0.49 to 0.85 respectively. The polymorphic information content (PIC) of each SSR locus varied from 0.437 to 0.829 with an average of 0.702. Fifteen primer pairs were used in Dendrobium cross-species amplification and totally 13 primer pairs were proved to have the transferability in D. officinale related species. In addition, 500 tissue culture plantlets of D. officinale were tested for purity identification by means of PCR amplification with four SSR primer pairs. The results showed that SSR technique is a feasible, simple and inexpensive method for determining adulterants in germplasm identification.

Objective To investigate the influence of c-myc on the growth, proliferation, apoptosis,invasion and cell cycle of the gastric line HFE145. Methods The cDNA of c-myc was subcloned into a constitutive vector pcDNA3.1 followed by transfection in HFE145 by using liposome. Then stable expression clones (HFE-myc) were selected. The apoptosis and cell cycles were detected using flow cytometry. The growth and proliferation were analyzed by making cell growth curves and colony formation assay respectively. The ability of invasion were tested using cell migration assay. Results HFE-myc group grew faster than HFE145and HFE-pc. The cell counts of HFE-myc in five of seven days were more than those of others significantly (P＜0.05). There was no difference between the two control group. Cell cycle analysis showed that HFE-myc group proliferated faster, mean proportion of cells in G2-M was about 25 % and higher significantly (P ＜0.05)than those of the two control groups. Results of colony formation assay showed that the mean colony formation rate of HFE-myc was 0.27 and higher than those of the control groups(P ＜0.05). The results of cell migration assay suggested that the cell migration rate of HFE-myc was not higher significantly than those of the control groups (P ＞0.05). Conclusion c-myc can promote the growth, proliferation. It can increase the proportion of cells in division stage, so promote the division. But it have little influence on the invasion of cells.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of the immunotherapy of CIK cell, LAK cell and PBLS cell mediated by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 bispecific antibody (BsAb) respectively on the mice borne human gastric cancer and provide experimental evidence for therapeutic strategy in treating gastric cancer. Methods The mAbs of anti-CD3 and anti-EGFR were cross-linked to prepare the BsAb by chemical synthesis. The experimental therapy on the mice borne SGC7901 human gastric cancer was performed,and then the comparisons of the curative activity among the CIK group, LAK group and PBLS group were conducted in vivo. ResultsThe mean tumor reduction rate of the administration of CIK cells directed by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb was(64.9±7.7)％ and higher than those of LAK cells or PBLS targeted by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb [(43.5±8.2) ％ and (39.7±6.5) ％] (P ＜ 0.05).The mean tumor weight of the administration of CIK cells directed by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb was (473.9±37.7) mg at the end of therapy and was lower than those of LAK cells or PBLS targeted by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb [(764.6±88.3) mg and (829.1±104.4) mg](P ＜ 0.05). ConclusionThe CIK cell mediated by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb could have better curative effect than other effector cells on gastric cancer in vivo.

Objective To explore the value of ductus arteriosus in ultrasound diagnosis of fetal congenital heart disease by echocardiography. Methods The fetal echocardiography was performed with three segments diagnosis method. According to the fetal position, the ductus arteriosus was examined in different sections which include the V shape sign section formed by ductus arteriosus and right pulmonary artery,the V shape sign section formed by ductus arteriosus and the gorge of aortic arch,the three fingers sign section formed by ductus arteriosus,left and right pulmonary artery,the Z shape sign section formed by left pulmonary artery, ductus arteriosus and the gorge of aortic arch. The flow velocity and the inner diameter of the ductus arteriosus were measured. Results Thirty-one cases with congenital heart disease were evaluted. Thirteen cases were approved by autopsy. Among those fetus, 4 cases went with ductus arteriosus stenosis and they all accompanied with right heart obstructing disease,3 cases went with dilated ductus arteriosus and they all accompanied with left heart obstructing disease. Retrograde were explored in 2 fetus. The flow velocity of 5 fetus ductus arteriosus were higher than the normal fetus and 4 cases of them with right heart obstruction, 1 cases with left heart obstruction. Five fetal ductus arteriosus were normal. One fetal ductus arteriosus was absent. Conclusions Assessant of ductus arteriosus by echocardiography is an important content in screening fetal congenital heart disease. It can help us to diagnose quickly.

Objective To suppress the proliferation of lens epithelial cells (LECs) is a primary goal in prevention of after cataract. Recent study demonstrated an effective inhibition of elemene(Ele) on tumor cells. Present study was to investigate the effects of Ele on proliferation and cell cycle of human LECs B3 (HLE-B3). Methods Recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor(rhbFGF) was utilized to induce proliferation of HLE-B3. Proliferative HLE-B3 was incubated with 80 mg/L Ele in CO_2 incubator for 24 hours. Then the inhibitory effects of Ele on proliferation of HLE-B3 was evaluated by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium(MTT). The effect of Ele on HLE-B3 morphology was observed under the optical microscope. The effect of Ele on HLE-B3 cell cycle was analyzed by flow cytometer(FCM). Results MTT test showed that the optical density (OD) value of rhbFGF group was remarkably higher than that of control group(0. 599 0 ± 0. 053 1 versus 0. 409 1 ± 0. 042 2) (P ＜ 0. 01), and that of Ele group(0. 450 0 ±0. 061 4) was obviously declined in comparison to rhbFGF group(P ＜0. 01) . The inhibitory rate of Ele was 24.90 %. In proliferation group, the number of HLE-B3 was increased with the normal cell structure and abundant cytoplasm under the optical microscope. However, in Ele group, the number of HLE-B3 was evidently decreased with less cytoplasm, undistinguished cell structure, condensed and aggregated nucleuses. The result of flow cytometer showed that the percentage of HLE-B3 in G_1 phase in rhbFGF group was 42. 062% ± 1. 270% and that in control group was 46. 422% ±3. 765% with a significant difference(P ＜ 0. 05). HLE-B3 in G_1 phase in Ele group (60. 665% ±2.069%) was evidently increased in comparison with rhbFGF group (P ＜ 0. 01). HLE-B3 in S phase in rhbFGF group compared with control group was increased (51.647% ±1.123% versus 31.842% ± 2. 798%) (P ＜ 0. 01), but that in S phase in Ele group(30. 222% ±3.429%) was lower than rhbFGF group (P ＜ 0. 01). HLE-B3 in G_2 phase in rhbFGF group was decreased in comparison with control group (6. 288% ± 0. 966% versus 21. 735% ± 3. 806%, P ＜ 0. 01), and that in G_2 phase in Ele group (9. 112% ± 1. 659%) compared with proliferation group was increased (P ＜ 0. 01). Conclusion Ele could alter the cell cycle of HLE-B3 and effectively inhibit the HLE-B3 proliferation induced by rhbFGF. Ele may be a reliable and effective drug for prevention and treatment of after cataract.
