In addition, in 5 non?endemic villages, 3.126 3 hm2 snail area was found. In 2008, 2012 and 2013, a total of 2.274 0 hm2 snail area was found again. Conclusions In recent years, the snail situation rises again after schistosomiasis transmission has been interrupted. Therefore, this situation should be paid attention to.
5.Efficacy comparison of GP regimen or gemcitabin treated for elderly patients with advanced nonsmall-cell lung cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2012;24(3):186-188
Objective To evaluate and compare the efficacy and toxicity of gemcitabin(GEM) plus cisplantin and GEM on the chemotherapy of elderly patients advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods 85 elderly patients with stage 3 to 4 NSCLC were randomized into gemcitabine plus cisplatin (group GP) and GEM (group GEM).In group GP,patients received GEM on day 1 and day 8 at dose 1.0 g/m2,add cisplatin on day 2 to day 4 at dose 75 mg/m2. In group GEM, patients would received single GEM at dose 1.25 g/m2.The the therapy circle was 3 weeks and undertaken least 2 circles before the treatment efficacy and survival would be evaluated according RECIST. Results In GP group the response rate was 48.84 %(21/43),In GEM group the response rate was 35.71%(15/42),the difference of response rate between two groups was not statistically significant(x2=1.708,P=0.424).The median survival were 11 months to Gp group and 9 months to GEM group. The 1 year survival rates of GP group were 39.53 % and of GEM group were 26.19 %. The survival time between two groups was not statistically significant(t=1.377,P=0.172).The same toxicity in both groups was defected, Nausea and vomiting occurred were more serious in GP group than that in GEM group (x2=9.796, P=0.002). Conclusion GP and GEM are both effective for treatment of elderly advanced NSCLC.There are no significantly differences on efficacy and toxicity in 2 groups. Side effects on alimentary system are obviously less in GEM group than that in GP group.
6.Effects of type D personality on anxiety, depression and quality of life of hospitalized patients with coronary heart disease
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2012;(11):982-984
Objective To explore the relationship between type D personality, anxiety and depression of coronary heart disease(CHD) and the effects on quality of life (QOL).Methods 296 CHD patients were randomly chosen to answer the questionnaires of general situation, type D personality scale (DS14),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36).Results Of all subjects 37.2% were identified as type D personality, detection rates of anxiety and depression was were higher than the patients with non-type D personality (33.6% vs 14.0%,49.1% vs 23.1%,separately) (P< 0.01).The scores of role-physical (RP),bodily pain (BP),general health (GH),vitality (VT),social functioning (SF),role-emotional(RE),mental health (MH) in patients with type D personality ((32.73 ± 42.52),(57.68 ± 26.93),(42.14 ±18.23),(47.15 ±22.60),(59.43 ±26.67),(45.91 ±46.22),(49.25 ±22.21),separately) were lower than the patients with non-type D personality ((56.00 ± 46.61),(64.62 ± 22.27),(48.27 ± 19.19),(61.56 ±20.17),(69.70 ± 24.35),(70.79 ± 44.53),(70.52 ± 18.91),separately) (P<0.05 or 0.01).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that depression, type D personality, anxiety, coronary artery stenosis degree and degree of education were entered QOL regression equation(β =-16.31,-6.53,-7.69,-15.75,2.64,P < 0.05).Conclusion The type D personality of CHD exist high prevalence of anxiety and depression disorders, and the type D personality influence the QOL of patients with CHD.
7.The application of HER2 to pancreatic cancer treatment
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2013;19(10):796-800
Pancreatic cancer (PC) is known for its high malignancy and poor prognosis.Furthermore,PC patients have little chance to receive an operation, and chemotherapy is not always an ideal alternative.More effective treatment is necessary because over the last two decades, the morbidity and the mortality of PC has risen continuously. Some new PC treatments involve HER2,a transmembrane protein that has oncological significance. The amplification of its gene or over expression of itself can cause malignant proliferation, suppression of apoptosis, and angiogenesis in PC.Its potential can be seen with HER2 targeted medicines including the clinically used Trastuzumab, but also with bispecific antibody, tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and more. This article will review the application of these new developments.
8.Antiplatelet agent resistance and prevention and treatment of stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2013;21(5):378-384
A large number of studies have confirmed that antiplatelet agents reduce the relative risk of stroke, myocardial infarction,or death by an average of 22%.However,many patients still have thrombotic events during the period of taking anti-platelet agents, and this is called anti-platelet agent resistance. Its incidences reported are very different. The incidence of aspirin is 3% to 85%,and that of clopidogrel is 28% to 44%.The exact cause of antiplatelet agent resistance remains unclear. It may be associated with several factors, including decreased drug bioavailability, genetic polymorphisms, activation of other platelet activation pathways, and increased circulating platelets.Currently,a variety of laboratory methods have been used to detect antiplatelet agent resistance, its criteria are different. In addition, the response measures of antiplatelet agent resistance also have no conclusion, and this has brought greater difficulties for the prevention and treatment of stroke.
