Objective To study hematotoxic effect of formaldehyde in mice. Methods Sixty healthy KM mice were randomly divided into a control group and three formaldehyde treated groups named a low level group,a moderate level group and high level group.Themice in the experimental groups were exposed to formaldehyde by intraperitoneal injection, once a day,for three weeks at the dose of 0.2,2.0 and 20 mg/kg bw respectively.Five mice were sacrificed at the 1st,2nd,3rd week of formaldehyde treatment and the blood samples were collected. The red blood cell counts, white blood cell counts and the hemoglobin content in the blood in mice were determined. Results During the experimental period, the body weight of mice in low level group at the 1st and 3rd week decreased significantly compared with the control group. The organ coefficient of the kidney in the moderate level group, high level group at the 1st week were higher than that of control group. The organ coefficient of the spleen in moderate level group at the 2nd week,in all three formaldehyde treated groups at the 3rd week was lower than that of control group. The organ coefficient of the heart in high level group at the 3rd week also decreased markedly in comparison to that of control group. The hemoglobin content in high level group at the 3rd week was lower than that of the control group. The red blood cell counts in three experiment groups at the 1st week and in high level group at the 2nd week decreased markedly compared with the control group. The white blood cell counts were seen much lower in low level group at the first two weeks,in moderate level group at the 1st week and in high level group in the experimental period compared with the control group. Conclusion Formaldehyde exposure has some hematotoxic effects in mice.

Objective To evaluate the curative effect and indications of medical ozone for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods 10~20 ml(35~45 ug/ml) medical ozone was injected into the lumbar disc percutaneously each case. The patients were followed up for 6~12 months. Results 60 cases (66 lumbar discs) with lumbar disc herniation were treated with the injection of medical ozone. The total effective rate was 96.67% , excellent and good rate was 76%.The efficacy in herniation to be 30% of vertebral canal diameter and lumbardisc bulging group. Conclusion The treatment of lumbar disc herniation with medical ozone is simple, effective and no complications.

A case of Schwannoma in the submandibular gland was reported which had been misdiagnosed as pleomorphic adenoma before operation. The tumor was originated from lingual nerve which in turn invaded the Schwann membrane near the submandibular ganglion.

Objective To dynamically observe changes of IgG, its subclasses and IgE in sera of mice by immunization with mixed recombinant of BCG-Em Ⅱ/3 and BCG-Em14-3-3 vaccine of Echinococcus multilocularis (Era). Methods Forty Balb/c mice of 12-14 week old and 20-25 g weight were intranasally vaccinated by the vaccine, 4 mice were killed randomly by the weight on 0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16 and 18 weeks of immunization respectively, sera were gathered from the eyeball to measure IgG, its subclasses and IgE by routine ELISA. Results Levels of IgG, IgG2a and IgG2b in the sera of mice increased obviously on 2-18 weeks, reached the highest level on 10, 4 and 4 weeks respectively, the value was 0.095±0.033,0.022±0.001,0.023±0.003 respectively, as compared with the value on 0 week(0.030±0.013,0.012±0.004,0.013±0.004), the difference being statistically significant(q=2.95,4.87,2.81 respectively, P < 0.01 or P < 0.05); levels of IgG1, IgG3 and IgE in the sera of mice decreased remarkably on 2-18 weeks, came to the lowest level on 4,2,6 weeks respectively, the value was 0.031±0.004,0.136±0.002,0.114±0.002 respectively, as compared with the value on 0 week(0.192±0.007, 0.175±0.013,0.024±0.003), the difference being statistically significant (q =5.16,4.93,5.32 respectively, P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). Conclusion Helper T cell(TH) Ⅰ response is induced in mice by mixed recombinant of BCG-Em Ⅱ/3 and BCG-Em14-3-3 vaccine on early immunization.

Objective To evaluate the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognostic factors of kidney clear cell renal carcinoma(KIRC)in international sample database. Methods From 1998 to 2012,consecutive patients with KIRC who diagnosed and treated in TCGA organizations were enrolled.Clinical characteristics, objective response and survival time were evaluated, and correlation analysis with lncRNA urothelial cancer associated 1 (UCA1)gene was performed. Results 512 patients with KIRC were enrolled.35.4% of patients were female,59.6% of stage Ⅰ -Ⅱ, 90.0% of white and 45.1% of grade 1 -2.Comprehensive treatment was consistent with the clinical guidelines. Significant correlation was found between UCA1 expression and 4 mRNA subtype,30 genes mRNA expression, mir -101 -1 expression and PBRM1 mutation. And patients with UCA1 overexpression could achieve poor prognosis. Conclusion Diagnosis and treatment of the international TCGA -KIRC research meets clinical guidelines.UCA1 overexpression is an important poor prognostic factor.Combined with the clinical relevance of other important driver genes,UCA1 may be significantly valuable for further study.
