Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(17):-
Objective To explore the difference of clinical features and laboratory indexs with different vasovagal responses in(head-up) tilt test(HUT) in children with vasovagal syncope(VVS).Methods Forty consecutive children diagnosed with VVS by HUT were analyzed. The vasovagal responses were divided into vasodepressor, cardioinhibitory and mixed patterns. The distribution and different clinical features and laboratory indexs of different response patterns in the VVS were studied. Results The most common vasovagal response was vasodepressor. There was no significant difference in their clinical features, including the motivation, presymptom, frequency and duration of syncope, baseline heart rate and blood pressure, and serum electrolytes among the children with different vasovagal respon-ses.Conclusion Vosodepressor response is the most common hemodynamic pattern in vasovagal syncope in children.

Objective To observe the effect applicated of endoscopic sinus joint laryngoscope in laryngeal microsurgery. Methods 68 patients with laryngeal lesions were randomly divided into the multi-mirror combination group (34 cases) and the single laryngoscope group (34 cases). The multi-mirror combination group was taken with laryngeal microsurgery under endoscopic Joint laryngoscope. The single laryngoscope group was only taken with laryngeal microsurgery under laryngoscope. The efficacy and surgical situation of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the multi-mirror combination group was 97.06%,which was significantly higher than that of the single-laryngoscope group (85.30%) (x2 =4.031,P < 0.05).Compared with the case of surgery and complications and recurrence rate, the multi-mirror combination group was superior to the single laryngoscope group (all P < 0.05).Conclusion The endoscopic joint laryngoscope has the function of expanding the scope of the operative field and increasing the focus and clarity, and also has the advantages of small traumatic for patients, fewer complications, low recurrence rate, easy operation and high accuracy.

Objective To explore effective ways of vocabulary learning through investigation of medical college students . Methods Vocabulary learning of 200 medical college students from grade 2010 (high-score group and low-score group)were investigated by self-made scales. Exploratory factor analyses were conducted by PASW Statistics software. Vocabulary learning of two groups was compared by independent-samples t test. Results There were statistical significances in factors of‘attitude’ (P=0.000),‘methods and strategies’(P=0.000),‘vocabulary depth’(P=0.010)between higher-score and lower-score students and there was no statistical significance was in ‘importance of vocabulary’ (P=0.099)between two groups. Conclusions Attitude, methods and strategies as well as vocabulary depth play a central role in vocabulary learning.

Objective To study the etiology of functional dyspepsia (FD) and compare the clincial responses of medical treatment and psychological intervention. Methods Psychological intervention (psychologic support),advices for daily life (eating habits) and medical treatment were administered to the 346 FD patients;and the therapeutic effects were compared. Results Complete remission:225 cases (65%);partial remission:52 cases (15%);no effect:69 cases (20%).The overall effective rate was 80%.Conclusion FD is a clinical syndrome focusing in upper abdomen, but without local or systematic evidence Psychological treatment is stressed.

Objective To discuss the variation range and the indication of soluble serum Fas (sFas) in aplastic anemia (AA) patients. Methods The level of sFas receptor in 38 AA patients was assayed by ELISA,with 30 cases as controls. Results The level of sFas receptor in AA patients was apparently lower than those of the control group (P

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2001;0(05):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of balloon kyphoplasty in the treatment of painful osteoporotic vertebral compressive fractures. Methods From May 2000 to June 2002, 56 consecutive procedures were performed in 30 patients of painful osteoporotic vertebral compressive fractures with intact posterior vertebral body wall. Each procedure includes bilateral insertion of inflatable balloon, fracture reduction and fulfilled with bone cement. Preoperative and postoperative symptom levels, complications and radiographic findings were recorded and analyzed. Results All 30 patients tolerated the procedure well with immediate relief of their back pain in 48 hours. The mean loss of the anterior and mid vertebral body heights were (13.6?2.3) mm, (9.2?1.4) mm preoperatively and (4.7?1.5) mm, (3.4?1.1) mm postoperatively. The mean kyphosis was improved from 23.4??5.2? to 9.2??4.7?. Cement leakage and cerebrospinal fluid leakage occurred at one level respectively and resulted in no clinical symptoms, no other complication was found. Conclusion As a promising minimally invasive surgery, balloon kyphoplasty can provide early improvement of pain and function as well as spinal alignment in treatment of painful osteoporotic compressive fractures.
