Objective To investigate leukotriene B4 secretion from DC and expression of its receptor,BLT(LTB1,LTB2).Methods Bone marrow(BM)-derived DC from healthy Balb/c mice were incubated with rmGS-CSF and rmIL-4,and then stimulated with LPS.Light microscopy and flow cytometry were used to identify DC,ELISA and RT-PCR methods were used to detect LTB4 secretion in culture supernatant and mRNA expression of BLT(BLT1,BLT2) in immaturation and mature DC,respectively.Results LTB4 concentration was(10.667?(2.394)ng/L)、(7.089?(1.810) ng/L)、(3.222?(0.995)ng/L) and(14.217?(3.396)ng/L) in 2,4 and(6 d)(immaturation) and(8 d) (maturation) respectively.LTB4 level decreased progressively during DC differentiation.LTB4 level in mature DC was higher than that in immature DC(P

Methods: Using the regression models with multiple structural changes to estimate the structural change point of model parameter. Results: Compared to the elastic coefficient of economic growth, the total health expenditure and social health expenditure remained stably, the elasticity coefficient of government spending on health increased after decreased while elastic coefficient of personal spending health costs decreased after increased. Conclusion:In the early years of 1990s, the responsibility of government in health care financing funding weakened, which led to the increasing personal expenses. The situation began to reverse since 2004.

Objective To investigate the association of prehepatic fat thickness with insulin resistance in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).Methods Thirty-five PCOS patients and 39 controls were randomly enrolled in the study.Prehepatic fat thickness was detected by ultrasound,and fasting glucose (FBG),fasting insulin (FINS),and serum lipids were detected.The homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) was used to calculate insulin resistance.Results Prehepatic fat thickness was significantly higher in PCOS patients than healthy controls,and prehepatic fat thickness were significantly correlated with HOMA-IR (P ＜ 0.05).The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve demonstrated that prehepatic fat thickness had higher sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing PCOS with insulin resistance.Conclusions This study demonstrates that prehepatic fat thickness significantly correlates with insulin resistance and can be used as the markers of insulin resistance in PCOS patients.

Objective To explore the clinical significance of procalcitonin(PCT)in guiding the optimizing antimi-crobial treatment strategy in ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP).Methods Sixty patients receiving mechanism ventilation for ≥48 hours in an intensive care unit between November 2011 and April 2013 were randomly divided into control group (n=29)and trail group (n=31),patients in control group stopped antimicrobial use according to guideline,patients in trail group stopped antimicrobial use according to serum procalcitonin level,duration of anti-microbial use and mechanical ventilation between two groups were compared.Results Days of mechanical ventila-tion,length of ICU stay,mortality rates between two groups were not significantly different(all P >0.05);antimi-crobial days in trail group was significantly less than control group([10.70 ±3.78]d vs [13.93 ±3.03 ]d)(t =4.484;P <0.001).Conclusion Serum procalcitonin level plays an important role in the rational use of antimicrobial agents in patient with VAP.
