Aim To study the protective effect of total extract of astragalus(TEA) on primary rat hepatocytes injured by CCl4 or H2O2 and its mechanism.Methods The primary hepatocytes were isolated by Ⅳ collaganase and injured by CCl4 or H2O2.The contents of malondialdehyde(MDA) and glutathion(GSH),glutathion peroxidase(GSHpx) activity of hepatocytes and the AST and /or ALT level in cultural supernatant were determined by general methods. Results (1) The elevation of MDA content of hepatocytes and AST level in supernatant of cultural hepatocytes,and the loss of GSH content and GSHpx activity induced by CCl4 were restored remarkably by TEA(5～80 mg?L-1);(2)The elevation of ALT level in the supernatant of hepatocytes and MDA content of hepatocytes, and the loss of GSH content and GSHpx activity induced by H2O2 were improved significantly by TEA(5～80 mg?L-1) treatment.Conclusion The results suggest that TEA possess direct protective action on primary hepatocyte in vitro injured by CCl4 or H2O2. These might be associated with its anti-oxidative activity.

Objective To observe the changes of SOD and MDA after the rabbits were exposed to acute hypoxia when cured by oxygen therapy.Methods New Zealand rabbits underwent hypoxia imitating the 4500-meter sea level in altitude chamber(group E,n=6),then some received oxygen therapy,the volume ratio of oxygen-nitrogen mixture was 25%,30% and 35% respectively for 10,5 and 3 hours as group B,C and D.Another 5 rabbits received no treatment as normal group.The rabbits samples were collected at the time points of 1,3,5,10 and 24 hours after the oxygen therapy started to detect serum biochemical indicators.Results Comparing with normal control group,serum SOD activity in simple hypoxia group noticeably decreased and the content of MDA noticeably increased;in three oxygen therapy groups,serum SOD activity in 25% oxygen therapy group was highest and the content of MDA was lowest.Serum SOD activity in 25% oxygen therapy group had ascendant tendency and the content of MDA had descendant tendency.Conclusions Low concentration oxygen therapy can prevent acute hypoxia-induced injury in rabbits,besides increase oxygen partial pressure,oxygen therapy may improve superoxide dismutase activity.

Objective To study the role of CXC chemokine receptor 5 (CXCR5) in the pathogenesis of bullous pemphigoid (BP) by detecting the expression of CXCR5 on follicular helper T (Tfh) cells in skin lesions of BP.Methods An immunohistochemical procedure was used to detect CXCR5 expression in biopsy specimens from skin lesions of 16 patients with BP and normal skin of 10 healthy individuals.Results CXCR5 was mainly expressed in the cytoplasm and membrane of Tfh cells in the basal cell layer of normal skin as well as in both basal cell layer and prickle cell layer of BP lesions.The number of CXCR5-positive ceils per high power field (× 400) was 11.16 ± 4.47 in normal skin specimens,significantly lower than that in lesional skin specimens (35.70 ± 12.20,t =6.07,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion CXCR5 may be involved in the pathogenesis of BP.

Objective To establish diagnostic standards of colorectal tubular adenocarcinoma with confocal laser endomicroscopy(CLE), and to evaluate its diagnostic value in vivo.Methods The confocal images of 12 cases, which were pathologically confirmed colorectal tubular adenocarcinoma(4 well differentiated, 4 moderately differentiated and 4 poorly differentiated), were collected and analyzed to establish diagnostic standards of the disease with CLE.Then 49 lesions were prospectively evaluated based on CLE standards,which were compared to histopathology results.Results The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value(PV +)and negative predictive value(PV -)of CLE in diagnosing tubular adenocarcinoma were 94.7%, 90.9%, 93.9%, 100% and 76.9%, respectively.The corresponding data of well differentiated adenocarcinoma were 100%, 83.3%, 88.9%, 85.7% and 87.0%, those of moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma were 86.7%, 90.5%, 86.1%, 86.7% and 90.5%, and those of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma were 77.8%, 92.6%, 88.9%, 100% and 86.2%.Conclusion CLE is able to diagnose and grade colorectal tubular adenocarcinoma.

Objective To analyze the association of gastrointestinal symptoms and sleep disturbance after Wen-Chuan earthquake. *Methods Using random sampling method, compared with Beijing publics at the same time, within two weeks, questionnaire was performed in the disaster area population.Gastrointestinal symptoms were diagnosed according to the Rome Ⅲ standard, and were analyzed in relation to sleep investigation. Results Among 956 disaster area individuals, 459 (48.0%) have gastrointestinal symptoms. Among 1021 Beijing publics, the corresponding number was 78(7. 6% ) ,which was significantly lower. The main gastrointestinal symptoms included abdominal pain ( 14. 0% ), distension ( 12. 1% ),constipation ( 10. 3 % ), heartburn (8. 6% )and dysporia (8. 3% ). Compared with Beijing publics (24. 4% ),the disaster area publics ( 83.7% ) with gastrointestinal symptoms had significant differences in sleep disturbance (P ＜0. 05 ). Early awakening with acratia had significant differences in disaster area publics (P ＜ 0. 05). Conclusion There was relatively high incidence of gastrointestinal symptom after Wen-Chuan earthquake. The incidence of gastrointestinal symptom was related to sleep disturbance, and gastrointestinal symptoms were related to early awakening with acratia.

Some traditional Chinese medicine technologies,with strong safety, quick and significant effect, standerdized manipulation, simple operation and good prospect for promotion and application are selected in the research project for application and demonstration of rural health appropriate technology. Through the application of the project, we have new experience in medical teaching.

Background Pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) has a high incidence in Uygur population and usually leads to secondary glaucoma and complicated cataract.The abnormal change of lens tissue and degeneration of zonular fibers bring a lot of difficulties for phacoemulsification (phaco) with intraocular lens implantation,especially stop-and-chop phaco technique.Prechop technique is a new choping technology,but its application in PEX with cataract is less.Objective This study was to compare the efficacy and safety of pre chop phaco technique and stop-and-chop phaco technique for PEX combined cataract.Methods A randomized controlled Clinical trial was designed.Forty-one eyes of 41 patients with PEX combined cataract of Ⅲ degree of nucleus were enrolled in People's Hospital of Hetian District from March 2015 to January 2016.The patients were randomized into the prechop group and stop-and-chop group according to random nubmer table,and cystotome-assisted prechop phaco surgery and stop-and-chop phaco surgery were performed in different groups,respectively.The effective phaco duration,corneal endothelium loss rate,cornea edema eye number after operation,vision outcomes and complications were compared between the two groups.Results The mean effective phaco duration was 14.0 (13.0,16.5) minutes and 18.5 (16.5,24.0) minutes in the prechop group and stop-and-chop group,with a significant difference between them (Z =17.354,P ＜ 0.01).The corneal endothelial cells were (2 101.90 ± 209.08)/mm in the prechop group,and the number was similar to (2 002.30 ± 207.04)/mm of the stop-and-chop group (t =-1.530,P =0.134).Corneal endothelial cell lossing rate was (8.27±2.23)％ in the prechop group,which was lower than (13.09±4.26)％ in the stop-and-chop group (t =3.810,P =0.001).The BCVA was better in the prechop group than that in the stop-and-chop group in postoperative day 3 (P =0.044),and the corneal edema degree was not signigicantly different in postoperative day 1 and day 3 between the two groups (P=0.221,0.446).Intraoperative complication was rapture of zonule and occurred in 1 eye and 2 eyes in the prechop group and stop-and-chop group,respectively.Conclusions Compared with the stop-and-chop phaco technique,the prechop phaco tequnique can decrease intraoperative complication,lighten the postoperative damage of corneal endothelial cells and accelerate visual rehabilitation in PEX combined with cataract patients.

Objective To improve the understanding of Amiodarone in the treatment of intractable incessant tachycardia in children. MethodsData of 80 patients with intractable incessant tachycardia treated by Amiodarone were summarized. Among them 52 were male,38 were female,and average age was 2.5 years old. ResultsAmiodarone reduced heart rate effectively, with about 90% effective. Simultaneously, it could convert tachycardia into sinus rhythm and succeeded 67% in atrial tachycardia, 92% in paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia,89% in junctional ectopic tachycardia, 56% in ventricular tachycardia respectively. Use of small dosage of β-receptor blocker together with Amiodarone showed synergy. Hypotension and bradycardia are the main side effects. ConclusionsToo rapid and sustained tachycardia can lead, to hemodynamic disorders and cause heart failure, it requires urgent and adequate treatment. Amiodarone can be used to treat different kinds of intractable incessant tachycardia, and is safe and effective in patients with relatively stable hemodynamis.
