Objective To explore the effect of the self-made pelvic bag on patients with unstable pelvic fracture.Methods Toally 24 patients with unstable pelvic fracture from January 2013 to June 2014 were set as control group and used conventional nursing.Toally 30 patients from July 2014 to December 2015 were set as observation group.The self-made pelvic bag was used in the observation group for pelvic fixation and suspension traction.The degree of pain was compared between the pre-and post-use of the bag.Result The pains after using pelvic bag in the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P＜0.001).Conclusions The self-made pelvic bag can be effective for the pelvic fixation and suspension for the patients with pelvic traction.At the same time it can relieve the pain.

Objective To observe the influence of wind-dispelling therapy on therapeutic effect of blood-cooling and kidney-tonifying herbs for chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(CITP),and to investigate its immunoregulatory effect.Methods Forty-two CITP patients were randomized into 2 groups:the treatment group(N=22) received therapy of dispelling wind,cooling blood and tonifying kidney,and the control group(N=20) received therapy of cooling blood and tonifying kidney.Six weeks constituted one treatment course,and the treatment lasted 3 courses.Serum interleukin 2(IL-2),soluble IL-2 receptor(sIL-2R),Fas protein,Fas-L protein,and platelet-associated immunoglobulin G(PAIgG) levels and lymphocyte subtypes were compared before and after treatment.Results In the treatment group,14 patients were clinically cured,5 markedly effective,2 effective,1 ineffective and the total effective rate was 95.5%;in the control group,8 patients were clinically cured,4 markedly effective,3 effective,5 ineffective and the total effective rate was 75.0%.The therapeutic effect in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group(P

[Summary] The genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood leukocyte of the patient with thyroid hormone resistance syndrome and 14 members of his family.The exons 1-10 of thyroid hormone receptor β (TRβ) gene were amplified by PCR.The products of PCR were sequenced directly to detect the gene mutation.The results showed that 3 members of this family were confirmed to have the C→T transition mutation at nucleotide 1 303 site within exon 10 of TRβ gene,and the missense mutation results in the substitution of histidine to tyrosine (H435Y).The heterozygous mutation may lead to the occurrence of thyroid hormone resistance syndrome.

Objective To study the expression of neuroglobulin(Ngb) in cortex of frontal lobe,hippocampus,cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) and plasma of rats during the process of brain edema induced by endotoxin(LPS).Methods Seventy SD rats were randomly divided into the control group(n=10) and the LPS groups(10 each at six time points).An intraventricular injection of LPS(0.1mg/kg,0.2ml) was given to rats in LPS groups,while the same amount of normal saline was given in control group.The plasma,CSF,hippocampus and the cortex of frontal lobe of rats were collected 3,6,12,24,48 and 72 hours after the injection.Ngb was detected by ELISA,Western blotting and immunohistochemical(IHC) method.The brain water content was measured by wet/dry method.The swelling of organelles in hippocampus and the cortex of frontal lobe were observed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Results The brain water content was significantly higher in LPS groups than in control group(P

Objective To identify myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) from non-MDS (mainly non-clonal cytopenias) by flow cytometric (FCM) score.Methods Four parameters (CD34+ myeloblast-related and B-progenitor-related cluster size,myeloblast CD45 expression and granulocyte side scatter value) were rated on 50 patients with MDS and 20 patients with non-clonal cytopenias.A diagnosis of MDS was formulated in the presence of FCM score value ≥ 2 (every abnormal parameter was scored 1).Results When compared with non-clonal cytopenias,patients with MDS had increased myeloblast-related cluster size and decreased B-progenitor-related cluster size,and had a lower granulocyte side scatter (P ＜ 0.05),but no significant difference was found when myeloblast CD45 expression was compared (P =0.06).The FCM score value was significant higher in MDS patients (P ＜ 0.001).45 cases were correctly classified (sensitivity 90 ％).There was 1 false-positive case among 20 controls (specificity 95 ％).Conclusion The FCM score may help to establish the diagnosis of MDS,and it is simple and feasible.

AIM: To develop an HPLC method for determintion of alliin concentration in rat plasma and to study its pharmacokinetics in rat. METHODS : The plasma samples were extracted with methanol. The analysis involved a ODS-1 column as stationary phase and distilled water as mobile phase. The flow rate was 0.5mL?min -1 ,UV detection wavelength was at 220nm. 5-fluorouracil was used as the internal standard. RESULTS : The calibration curve was linear over the range from 3?g?mL -1 to 75?g?mL -1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9989 . The mean recovery was 95%. The RSD of within-day and between-day were all less than 5%. The HPLC method of determination of alliin in the plasma was established. After single dose of 300mg?mL -1 in 6 rat,the main pharmacokinetic parameters were estimated to be as follows: CL( 0.048 )mg?min -1 ?kg -1 ,K_ 12 ( 0.0071 )min -1 ,K_ 21 ( 0.0093 )min -1 ,K_a(0.1915)min -1 ,t_ 1/2? To investigate the weight reduction of hydatid cyst and level of splenocyte subsets in mice immunized with recombinant Bifidobacteria bifidum (Bb) Bb-Eg95-EgA31 vaccine of Echinococcus granulosus (Eg) and challenged with Eg protoscoleces,BALB/c mice were immunized with the vaccine subcutaneously,intramuscularly,intranasally or orally.Then the mice were challenged with 50 Eg protoscoleces on 8~(th) week after vaccination and killed on 25~(th) week after infection.The weight of hydatid cyst was measured and the reduction of the weight was calculated.The spleens were collected for splenocytes preparation.CD_4~+ and CD_8~+ T cells were determined by flow cytometry(FCM),and the blank vector,Bb or MRS were set as control.The hydatid cyst weight was reduced by 45.33%,41.33%,70.67% and 62.67% respectively for the 4 immunization groups.Number of CD_4~+ and CD_8~+ subsets in the immunization groups was more than that in the control group.CD_4~+ and the ratio of CD_4~+/CD_8~+ in the intranasal or oral immunization group was much higher than that in the subcutaneous or intramuscular immunization group.It's concluded that CD_4~+ and CD_8~+T cells may play an important role in the protection induced by recombinant Eg95-EgA31 vaccine of Eg.In addition,intranasal and oral vaccinations could be the better ways for immunization.

Objective To investigate the situation of iodized salt practicing measures, the nutritional status of iodine and the trend of iodine deficiency disorders in Futian District of Shenzhen City, and to evaluate the effectiveness of preventive measures. Methods Every year from 2011 to 2015 in Futian District, five sub-districts were selected according to their position of the east, the west, the south, the north and the center, one school was selected in each sub-district, then sixty students were selected from each school to detect iodine content of their household salt samples;over twenty children (half males and half females) aged 8-10 of those sixty students were selected randomly to measure their thyroid volumes and detect their urinary iodine content;one or two drinking water samples were collected in each sub-district to test iodine content. Thyroid volume was examined by ultrasound method; the salt iodine was tested by the method of direct titration; iodine content in urine and drinking water samples was tested by arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometry. Results Between 2011 and 2015, totally one thousand four hundred and eighty-eight edible salt samples were tested. The iodized salt coverage rate, the qualification rate of iodized salt and the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was 96.1%(1 430/1 488), 99.2%(1 419/1 430), and 95.4%(1 419/1 488), respectively . Four hundred and sixty-one children aged 8-10 were examined;nine children were diagnosed goiter, and the goiter rate was 1.95%. A total of 661 children urine samples were collected. The median urinary iodine was 229.5 μg/L; urinary iodine in 100 - 199 μg/L accounted for 29.8%(197/661), and in 200 - 299 μg/L accounted for 31.0%(205/661). Forty-eight drinking water samples were tested, the iodine content of the drinking water was 10.3 - 22.1 μg/L, and the median water iodine was 16.8 μg/L. Conclusions The iodine deficiency disorders surveillance indicators in Futian District of Shenzhen City all meet the national standards for elimination of the disease. Yet, the level of iodine nutrition needs to be further observed, and both the iodized salt market supervision and the health education should be strengthened.
