ObjectiveTo investigate the practical value of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) in the treatment of acute left heart failure(ALHF).MethodsThe clinical effects and complications of NIPPV performed on 36 cases with severe ALHF on the basis of conventional treatment were evaluated and compared with previous treatment without NIPPV.ResultsOf 36 cases with ALHF treated by NIPPV,30 cases improved,6 cases were altered to receive invasive ventilation or dead.Total effective rate was 83.3%.Compared with 42 cases with severe ALHF treated only by conventional treatment in the past 5 years, with only 26 cases being successfully salvaged and effective rate being 61.9%,significant difference (P

Objective To explore the effect of the self-made pelvic bag on patients with unstable pelvic fracture. Methods Toally 24 patients with unstable pelvic fracture from January 2013 to June 2014 were set as control group and used conventional nursing.Toally 30 patients from July 2014 to December 2015 were set as observation group. The self-made pelvic bag was used in the observation group for pelvic fixation and suspension traction. The degree of pain was compared between the pre-and post-use of the bag.Result The pains after using pelvic bag in the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.001).Conclusions The self-made pelvic bag can be effective for the pelvic fixation and suspension for the patients with pelvic traction. At the same time it can relieve the pain.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2015;31(1):55-58
[Summary] The genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood leukocyte of the patient with thyroid hormone resistance syndrome and 14 members of his family. The exons 1-10 of thyroid hormone receptor β (TRβ) gene were amplified by PCR.The products of PCR were sequenced directly to detect the gene mutation. The results showed that 3 members of this family were confirmed to have the C→T transition mutation at nucleotide 1 303 site within exon 10 of TRβ gene, and the missense mutation results in the substitution of histidine to tyrosine (H435Y).The heterozygous mutation may lead to the occurrence of thyroid hormone resistance syndrome.

Objective To observe the influence of wind-dispelling therapy on therapeutic effect of blood-cooling and kidney-tonifying herbs for chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(CITP),and to investigate its immunoregulatory effect. Methods Forty-two CITP patients were randomized into 2 groups:the treatment group(N=22) received therapy of dispelling wind, cooling blood and tonifying kidney, and the control group(N=20) received therapy of cooling blood and tonifying kidney.Six weeks constituted one treatment course, and the treatment lasted 3 courses.Serum interleukin 2(IL-2),soluble IL-2 receptor(sIL-2R),Fas protein,Fas-L protein, and platelet-associated immunoglobulin G(PAIgG) levels and lymphocyte subtypes were compared before and after treatment. Results In the treatment group,14 patients were clinically cured,5 markedly effective,2 effective,1 ineffective and the total effective rate was 95.5%;in the control group,8 patients were clinically cured,4 markedly effective,3 effective,5 ineffective and the total effective rate was 75.0%.The therapeutic effect in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group(P

To study the chemical constituents from the root of Berchemia lineata (L.) DC., nine compounds were isolated from the EtOAc extract by using silica gel, RP-C18 silica gel column chromatography and preparative HPLC. Based on the spectroscopic analysis, their structures were identified as 5-hydroxy-7-(2'-hydroxypropyl)-2-methyl-chromone (1), (-)-(1'R, 2'S)-erythro-5-hydroxy-7-(1', 2'-dihydroxypropyl)-2-methyl-chromone (2), naringenin (3), eriodictyol (4), (+)-aromadendrin (5), (+)-taxifolin (6), (+)-catechin (7), (+)-epigallocatechin (8) and quercetin (9). Among them, compound 2 is a new chromone derivative. Compound 1 is a known chromone derivative and isolated from this genus for the first time. Compounds 3-9 are known flavonoids and isolated from this plant for the first time.

In a hospital, key disciplines are often regarded as the representative of service and reputation of the hospital. It is therefore of great significance to strengthen the construction of key disciplines to ensure sustainable development of the hospital in the increasingly fierce competition of medical market. This paper discusses how to strengthen construction of key disciplines from four aspects, namely, to increase the awareness of focal discipline construction among hospital staffs, and establish "brand awareness" ;to develop a team of high level professionals, and develop or introduce academic leaders; to improve academic research level and promote the technology progress ;and to strengthen management by objectives.

Objective To evaluate the sunscreen application and the level of photoprotective knowledge in both dermatologists and photosensitive patients. Methods The style, sites and amount of the sunscreen applied were examined by 0. 05 % dipyridamole cream in 39 dermatologists and 41 photosensitive patients with Wood's light. The participants were asked to fill in a questionnaire about the photoprotective knowledge. Results Frequent mistakes made by participants in this study were as follow: (1) using an inadequate amount of sunscreen; (2) putting sunscreen in the palm of the hand and rubbing the hands together before application; (3) lacking a systematic approach to sunscreen application. The median quantity of individual sites ranged from 0. 5 mg/cm2 to 1 mg/cm2 except for the forehead of the female dermatologist that had a median thickness of 1. 5 mg/cm2. The questionnaire survey showed that dermatologists also had less knowledge on sun protection even though better than photosensitive patients. Conclusions Dermatologists and photosensitive patients always fail to apply sunscreen in some prominently exposed sites and to paint the average thickness of sunscreen used far less than that of experimentally measured dose (2 mg/cm2). Continuing education and training about pho-toprotection for dermatologists should be carried out to provide better education for the patients on sun protection.

50.0%.CONCLUSION:The extensive use of antibacterials results in increased drug resistance, while rational use of antibiotics is the key of decreasing drug resistance and multidrug resistance. It is of great importance to analyze the variation of bacterial drug resistance in area hospital.

Objective To study the expression of neuroglobulin(Ngb) in cortex of frontal lobe, hippocampus, cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) and plasma of rats during the process of brain edema induced by endotoxin(LPS).Methods Seventy SD rats were randomly divided into the control group(n=10) and the LPS groups(10 each at six time points). An intraventricular injection of LPS(0.1mg/kg,0.2ml) was given to rats in LPS groups, while the same amount of normal saline was given in control group. The plasma,CSF,hippocampus and the cortex of frontal lobe of rats were collected 3,6,12,24,48 and 72 hours after the injection.Ngb was detected by ELISA,Western blotting and immunohistochemical(IHC) method. The brain water content was measured by wet/dry method. The swelling of organelles in hippocampus and the cortex of frontal lobe were observed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Results The brain water content was significantly higher in LPS groups than in control group(P
