1.Research progress of autoimmune gastritis
Journal of Chinese Physician 2021;23(3):461-465
Autoimmune gastritis(AIG) is a CD4 + T cell-mediated organ specific autoimmune disease of the stomach, characterized by the inherent gland atrophy in the stomach and intestinal metaplasia and/or pseudopyloric gland metaplasia. The diversity and nonspecificity of clinical features make the diagnosis difficult. In the past, AIG was thought to occur in the West, but in recent years, more and more studies have shown that the prevalence rate of AIG in China is not low. However, the disease has not attracted the attention of domestic clinical workers. Therefore, this paper reviews the latest research progress in the etiology, clinical characteristics, relationship with other diseases, diagnosis and treatment of AIG, so as to improve the understanding of clinical workers and improve the treatment rate and prognosis of AIG.

Objective To study the neurotoxic effects of acute exposure of methylmercury at low dose and to provide some experimental data for deeply exploring the early mechanism of neurotoxicity of methylmercury. Methods SD rats were administered with methylmercury chloride by intraperitoneal injection with different doses of 0.05, 0.50 and 5.00 mg/kg and different exposure times of 20 min, 1 h, 4 h, 24 h. Mercury, ACh and AChE contents in rat brains were measured. Results Mercury contents in rat brains significantly increased after 20 min-exposure at both 0.50 and 5.00 mg/kg doses. Significant increase occurred after 4 h exposure at dose of 0.05 mg/kg. ACh and AChE in rat brains significantly changed after 20 min at every dose, showing certain dose-response and time-response relations. Conclusion Changes of ACh and AChE in rat brain after administration of low dose(0.05 mg/kg) and short time(20 min) exposure suggested certain modulation of CNS had been initiated. With the increases of exposure dose and time, methylmercury might begin to accumulate in rat brain and induce the significant changes of ACh and AChE.

Objective: Exploring the epidemiological state of pervasive developmental disorder in 2-6 year-old children in Beijing. Methods: A total of 21866 children aged 2-6 year-old were recruited from permanent residents of Beijing by 2-phase cluster sampling. The Clancy Autism Behavior Scale was used for screening. The Childhood Autism Rating Scale and DSM-Ⅳ were used for diagnosis. Results: 16 children were diagnosed as pervasive developmental disorder (14 with autistic disorder, 1 with atypical autistic disorder, 1 with Rett syndrome). The false negative rate was 0.80 ‰.The prevalence of pervasive developmental disorder was 0.73 ‰, the adjusted prevalence was 1.53 ‰,the average annual detective rate was 0.11‰.The prevalence rate had no difference in distribution between urban-rural, among different age groups, sex and nations(?2=0.11~1.85,P=0.739-0.173).The low family income was related to high prevalence significantly ( tendency ?2=4.70,P=0.030 ).25% children with pervasive developmental disorder had not been identified by parents or had not been to clinics.80% children with pervasive developmental disorder had not get intervention. All children had demand to get intervention. Conclusions: The prevalence of pervasive developmental disorder in 2-6 year-old children in Beijing was not low.Low family income is the risk factor. The rate of intervention was low.The government should pay close attention to the children with pervasive developmental disorder and their needs.
6.Treatment of acute retinal necrosis syndrome
International Eye Science 2015;(5):813-816
?Acute retinal necrosis syndrome ( ARN) is a serious eye disease, which caused by Herpes virus mostly, with unknown pathogenesis. Because of the aggressive progression, treatment of ARN is difficult, and the blindness rate is extremely high. Current treatment strategies are the combination of the drug therapy and the operative treatment. Drugs commonly used are antiviral drugs, glucocorticoids, and antiplatelet drugs, and the operative treatment includes laser photocoagulation and vitrectomy.

Objective:To investigate the feasibility of rectus muscle insertion measurement with anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) after corrective surgery of concomitant exotropia. Methods:A cross-sectional study was performed.Twenty-five eyes of 25 patients with concomitant exotropia were included in Shenyang Aier Eye Hospital from March 2018 to February 2019, and all patients received concomitant exotropic corrective surgery. The distance of limbus to rectus muscle insertion was measured before operation, at the beginning and at the end of operation with a caliper and at postoperative 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months with AS-OCT, respectively.Degree of strabismus was examined by the alternate prism cover test at 33 cm.The research followed the Declaration of Helsinki and the protocol was approved by a Medical Ethics Committee of Shenyang Aier Eye Hospital (No.2017KJB005). Written informed consent was obtained from the patients/custodians prior to any medical examination and treatment. Results:A total of 44 rectus muscles of 25 eyes with concomitant exotropia were measured, including 25 lateral rectus muscles and 19 medial rectus muscles. The detection rate of the muscle insertion by AS-OCT was low at 2 weeks and 1 month after surgery. The mean distance of limbus to lateral rectus muscle insertions was (12.30±1.40), (11.72±1.45) and (11.84±1.27)mm at the end of operation and postoperative 3 and 6 months, respectively, showing a significant difference among them (F=4.085, P=0.023), and the distance measured at the end of operation was significantly larger than that at postoperative 3 months (P=0.018). The mean distance of limbus tomedial rectus muscle insertion was (5.12±0.42), (5.56±0.61) and (5.28±0.57)mm at the end of operation, postoperative 3 and 6 months, respectively, and there was no significant difference among the three time points (F=3.912, P=0.055). The degree of strabismus of the patients at various time points after surgery were significantly reduced in comparison with that before surgery (all at P<0.05).Conclusions:AS-OCT can track the position of extraocular muscle insertions after concomitant exotropic corrective surgery.

Spreaded and immobilized the bacterial cells entraped in PVA on pieces of cotton cloth as porous carrier. The conditions for preparing immobilized cells were as below: cell concentration, 20 mg wet weight/ml; PVA concentration, 5%; spreading amount, 0.3ml/cm~2; immobilization for 12 hours in saturated boron acid solution. Then activated the immobilized cells in buffer containing dyes. Thus, immobilized cells with high decolorizing activity were obtained. In columns packed with immobilized cells, the decolorization efficiencies of continuous influent and intermissional influent were compared with each other. In twenty days, the decolorization rates were both higher than 90%; then the decolorization rate of continuous influent decreased to about 60% after 60 days while it still reached 80% in case of intermissional influent. The efficiency of the later was distinct higher than that of the former.
