Objective Vessel injury provokes the release of angiotensin II that influences the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). T lymphocytes produced, interleukin 10 is of immunoregulatory function. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of recombinant human interleukin 10 (rhIL 10) on the proliferation of isolated rat vascular smooth muscle cell and the activity of p44/p42 mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) promoted by angiotensin II. Methods Rat aortic VSMCs were cultured and treated with rhIL 10 or angiotensin II, and then co treated with rhIL 10 and angiotensin II. The proliferation was quantified by colormetric assay. The p44/p42 MAPK activity was evaluated by the immunobloting technique using anti p44/p42 phospho MAPK antibody. Results Compared with control group, angiotensin II stimulated significantly VSMCs proliferation(1 311?0 201 vs 0 781?0 236, P 0 05), but significantly inhibited VSMCs proliferation induced by angiotensin II at a dose of 1,10,100 ng/ml (0 984?0 172 , 0 932?0 134 , 0 784?0 097 vs 1 311?0 201, P

Objective To explore the effect of enteral nutrition combined with parenteral nutrition support on the prognosis of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods Sixty-one patients diagnosed with SAP in our hospital from July 2011 to June 2012 were chosen and randomly divided into EN and PN group(30 cases)and PN group(31 cases). At the early stage of treatment, the former group was provided parenteral nutrition(PN)alone while the latter group was given enteral nutrition together with parenter-al nutrition. Then we measured the patients′body mass index on the 1st,2nd,3rd,5th,7th,10th,14th day respectively after admis-sion,and recorded the following indexes:whether complications occurred or not,the time for the first passage of gas by anus and defecation, the total time and cost of hospitalization, the drug proportion and the time the serum and urine amylase returned to nor-mal.Results The two groups of patients′body mass index showed no significant differences in the first 3 days, but there were sig-nificant differences in statistics on the 5th,7th,10th and 14th day(P <0.05).In addition, the two groups of patients formed a sharp contrast in such aspects as the bowel sound recovery time, the anal exhaust time, the total cost of hospitalization and the incidence rate of the complications(P <0.05)whereas there were no remarkable differences in the serum and urine amylase recovery time and the total time of hospitalization(P >0.05).Conclusion Compared with PN,the combined therapy of EN and PN could improve the patients′nutrition, reduce the weight loss caused by consumption, promote intestinal peristalsis, effectively reduce infectious compli-cations caused by floraectopic and ease the patients financial burden.

20 normal males were examined by BIODEX isokinetic test and rehabilitation system, and data collected were used to observe the influence of angle and time on the isokinetic concentric constriction of knee joint. It was found that angle and time, especially angle factor obviously affected the testing results.
4.Volatile constituents in the flowers of Elsholtzia argyi and their variation: a possible utilization of plant resources after phytoremediation.
Journal of Zhejiang University. Science. B 2005;6(2):91-95
Phytoremediation effectiveness and remediation costs are driving factors of this project. Full utilization of plant resources after their being used for phytoremediation is an unsolved problem. GC/MS technique was used to investigate the volatiles of the flowers from Elsholtzia argyi (PFE1: Purple Flower Elsholtzia) and their variation (WFE: White Flower Elsholtzia), naturally growing in Pb/Zn mined area, and Elsholtzia argyi (PFE2: Purple Flower Elsholtzia), naturally growing in Jiuxi uncontaminated agriculture soil. Seventeen compounds constituting 86.88% of total essential oils were identified in PFE1, with 2,6-octadienoic acid,3,7-dimethyl-methyl ester being the main constituent (63.30%). Sixteen compounds accounting for 95.32% of total essential oils were identified in WFE, with caryophyllene being the main component (55.02%). Compared to PFE1, PFE2 contains lower level of 2,6-octadienoic acid,3,7-dimethyl-methyl ester (31.76%), which is the main constituent in the total essential oils of PFE2. Caryophyllene is the main ingredient of flavor. Elsholtzia ketone was identified in all the three Elsholtzia plants. It can be concluded that the selected Elsholtzia argyi plants can be exploited on their versatile uses as fragrances and antiseptics due to the perfume ingredient and antibacterial components existing in their essential oils.

normal males were tested by BIODEX isokinetic test and rehabilitation system and its closed chain attachment. The results show that Peak Torque,Peak Torque/Body Weight,Time to PT,Total Work,Total Work/Body Weight and Average Power were higher when extention than flexion. There were no significant influence on D1/D2 ratio. And the results with closed chain are the same with non closed chain test.

The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory of "treating heart and brain diseases with same methods (Nao Xin Tong Zhi: NXTZ)" has great significance to the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. It has been proven effective by a great deal of clinical researches. However, the underlying mechanism for this theory is still unclear. To provide insights into the potential mechanism of "NXTZ", this study attempts to deeply investigate the mechanism from two representative cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, coronary heart disease (CHD) and cerebral apoplexy. First, various data resources were integrated to obtain different types of biomedical entities including drugs, targets, pathways and diseases. Then, three different approaches including text mining, biological network and enrichment analysis were utilized to recognize the potential common features between CHD and cerebral apoplexy, and the corresponding functions of drugs which could treat both diseases, thus unveiling the mechanism of NXTZ.

Liver tissues around hydatid from 8 patients with cystic echinococcosis were observed by transmission electron microscopy, normal hepatic tissues of 6 cases were used as control. The results demonstrated predominant atrophy and necrosis of hepatocytes. These changes seem to be the major hepatic lesion in cystic echinococcosis.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Science. B 2005;6(2):96-99
A solution with different Cu supply levels was cultured to investigate gama-aminobutyric acid (GABA) accumulation in Elsholtzia splendens, a native Chinese Cu-tolerant and accumulating plant species. Increasing Cu from 0.25 to 500 micromol/L significantly enhanced levels of GABA and histidine (His), but considerably decreased levels of aspartate (Asp) and glutamate (Glu) in the leaves. The leaf Asp level negatively correlated with leaf Cu level, while leaf GABA level positively correlated with leaf Cu level. The leaf Glu level negatively correlated with leaf GABA level in Elsholtzia splendens. The depletion of leaf Glu may be related to the enhanced synthesis of leaf GABA under Cu stress.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 2001;0(10):-
Objective:To explore the action of the second signal system in the activatied and proliferating T cells and the induction of apoptosis of the hepatoma cells. Methods:The T cells were costimulated by anti CD28 and anti CD80(B7.1)McAb and acted on the hepatoma cells(BEL 7402),then testing the concentration of cAMP?cGMP and Ca 2+ in the T cells and the apoptosis of the hepatoma cells. Results:The concentration of cAMP was increased temporarily at first, then decreased rapidly, and increased 1 2 times again when acted on the hepatoma cells. The concentration of cGMP was increased 6 8 times fast and the concentration of Ca 2+ obviously increased 2 3 times too.The peak of them was at the fourth day and positive related to apoptosis of the hepatoma cells. Conclusion:The level of the second signal system of cAMP?cGMP and Ca 2+ were significant correlated with the T cells activated and porliferating and the cytotoxic effect.
