Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 1993;0(01):-
Objective To assess the value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of ovarian pregnancy (OP). Methods The characteristics of transvaginal ultrasound and color Doppler flow imaging of 38 cases of OP were reviewed, whose diagnoses were confirmed by operations and pathologic findings. Results Twenty eight cases(~73.7 %) were correctly diagnosed by ultrasound, nine cases(~23.7 %) were misdiagnosed either as lutein cysts or as tubal pregnancy, one case(~2.6 %) was missed by ultrasound examination. According to ultrasound findings, 24 cases(~63.2 %) were diagnosed as type of gestational sac, 14(~36.8 %) cases as type of complex mass. Conclusions Ultrasonography plays an important role in diagnosing OP, especially in earlier OP of the gestational sac type.

Objective To examine plasma levels of MDA-LDL and pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A in patients with angiography type lesions Ⅱ(representing plaque rupture with or without thrombosis), and to evaluate the effect of simvastatin on plasma MDA-LDL and PAPP-A. Methods One hundred and ten patients were enrolled and underwent coronary angiography with 85 patients diagnosed as coronary heart disease (CHD) and twenty-five as controls. According to the morphologic types of plaque, the patients with CHD were straitified as type Ⅰ(smooth borders) (n=31) and type Ⅱ(irregular lesions) (n=35) and type Ⅲ (long lesions with irregular surface) group (n=19). The patients in type Ⅱ group received simvastatin (40 mg/d ) for four weeks. The plasma MDA-LDL, PAPP-A, LDL, HDL levels before and after simvastatin treatment were determined. Results Plasma levels of MDA-LDL, PAPP-A in type Ⅱ group was significantly higer than that in the controls group, type Ⅰ group, type Ⅲ group (P

Cancer Research and Clinic 2016;28(9):645-648
Cancer pain is the most important factor affecting the cancer patients' quality of life, and the approach to relieve and control cancer pain is becoming the focus. Pain mechanism research can offer solutions to pain treatment, such as blocking the happening and conduction of analgesia. The earliest μ, κ, σopioid receptors were found in the research of morphine and opioid peptides, especially μ receptor's leading role in pain treatment. Currently, μ opioid agonist is basically used in clinical pain treatment. Morphine, the third level drug, is still the classic pain therapy drugs. Novel drugs such as fentanyl transdermal and controlled-release oxycodone provide new ideas for the pain ease. Opioid combined with non-opioid drugs, the change of opioid drugs delivery way and joint application of controlled release drug and relievers, have dramatically reduced opioid drugs' side effects.

Neurology Asia 2015;20(3):335-342
Objective: To assess the implementation effects of clinical pathways, compared with usual care,
among patients with stroke. Methods:Two investigators independently searched PubMed, Embase, the
Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database and Wanfang Database
for studies published before December 2014. Jadad methodological approach was applied to assess the
quality of included studies and RevMan software (version 5.2.7) was used for meta-analysis. Results:
A total of 11 RCTs involving 913 patients were included in this meta-analysis. The overall results
showed that a shorter average length of stay [MD = -2.92; 95% CI (-4.06, -1.78); P < 0.001] and a
lower inpatient expenditures [SMD = -1.64; 95% CI (-1.80, -1.48); P < 0.001] in clinical pathways
group comparing with the usual care group. The higher score of patient satisfaction was also seen in
clinical pathways group.
Conclusion: clinical pathways may reduce the average length of stay, reduce the inpatient expenditures,
increase patient satisfaction and improve the quality of care in stroke management.

Objective To observe the effects of lycopene on fibrinolytic activity and nitric oxide in atherosclerosis rabbits. Methods 30 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups. They were individually housed in metal cages. Throughout the experimental period, they were given restricted amounts of food. Control group was fed with normal diet, model group was fed with 1% cholesterol,10% lard and 89% normal diet, lycopene group was fed with 1% cholesterol,10% lard and normal diet plus 6% lycopene. At the time of the first day and the 8th week, blood samples were drawn from ear edge vein of rabbits. The activity and content of plashaa tissue type plasminogen activator(t-PA)and plasminogen activator inhibitor(PAI-1)were detected. The levels of serum Nitric oxide (NO)were determined. At the end of the study, the plaque areas were measured. SPSS 10.0 software was used to evaluate the differences among the three groups. Results Compared with control group, atherosclerosis rabbits had lower content and activity of t-PA, higher content and activity of PAI-1 and lower content of NO. Compared with model group, lycopene group had no significant difference about the content and activity of tPA and PAI-1.But lycopen increased the levels of serum NO, significantly diminished the area of lipid plaque. Conclusions The experimental results suggested that lycopene had antiatherogenic effects. The possible mechanisms might be that lycopene could decrease lipid peroxidation injure, maintain the concentration of NO and protect vascular endothelium. The antiatherogenic effects of lycopene had no correlation with the fibrinolytic activity.

Aim To explore the effect of receptor component protein(RCP)in the signal transduction of vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC)proliferation induced by static pressure. Methods The mouse-derived vascular smooth muscle cell line(A10VSMC)was employed in the experiment.Cells were exposed to static pressure, and MTT assay was used to detect the cell viability.Western blot was used to determine the expressions of PCNA,RCP and p-Akt,RCP mRNA was tested by RT-PCR,and co-immunoprecipitation was used to test the interaction between RCP and G proteins. Results The cell viability, expressions of PCNA and RCP increased with the elevation of static pressure and reached their peaks at 120 mmHg,and after 6 hours they got a plateau. The static pressure significantly increased the level of p-Akt,meanwhile,the binding of RCP and Gαs significantly decreased. However, the binding of RCP and Gβ increased in response to static pressure after stimuli of static pressure, but Gγ was obscure. Conclusion Static pressure can induce VSMC proliferation and expression of RCP,which may involve G protein signal transduction model.

Objective To study the difference ofLeonurus japonicus germplasm resources and provide good materials for breeding. Methods Totally 20 wildLeonurus japonicus germplasm resources from different places of China were collected. Experiment was conducted in homogeneous garden in Quzhou City of Zhejiang Province. Phenological phase, cold endurance and habitat adaptability were observed; the plant height, fresh weight and dry weight in early flowering were measured; the contents of stachydrine hydrochloride and leonurine hydrochloride were determined in early flowering and out-of-season cultivation. Results Considering the habitat adaptability, dry plant weight in early flowering, the contents of stachydrine hydrochloride and leonurine hydrochloride separately in early flowering and out-of-season cultivation, it was believed that the germplasms from Linbao County, Sheqi County in Henan Province and Guidong County in Hunan Province were better, in which Linbao germplasm was the best: the dry plant weight was 30.6 g, the content of stachydrine hydrochloride and leonurine hydrochloride were 1.31% and 0.19% respectively in early flowering, and were 3.44% and 0.37% respectively under anti-season cultivation, and it can be well adapted in Zhejiang Province. Conclusion The germplasm ofLeonurus japonicas from Lingbao can be the best materials for breeding.
