Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2014;23(7):651-654
Objective To explore the relationship between critical thinking disposition and mental self-supporting and provide reference for educators in an attempt to improve undergraduate nursing students' positive psychological qualities and critical thinking disposition. Methods A total of 406 nursing undergraduates were investigated by using the California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version (CCTDI-CV) and Mental Self-supporting Questionnaire of University students. Results Undergraduate nursing students scored (280.91± 28.43) points averagely in critical thinking disposition, and the dimensions of analyticity (42.17±5.31) and truth seeking(37.56±6.42) got the highest and lowest score respectively. The total score of mental self-supporting was 76.40±8.47 points; among the seven subscales, opening and containing(11.90± 1.72) scored the highest and self-conviction(8.87±2.28) scored the lowest.A positive association was found between critical thinking disposition and mental self-supporting(r=0.583,P<0.01).The regression analysis showed that students' self-decision,self-cognition,self-confidence and self-charge played a significant role in students' critical thinking disposition (R2=0.435,P<0.01).Conclusion Undergraduate nursing students' disposition of critical thinking and mental self-supporting were on medium level. The subscales of self-decision,self-cognition,self-confidence and self-charge have huge influence on critical thinking disposition.Nursing educators should make an effort in the above 4 aspects so as to improve undergraduate nursing students' critical thinking disposition.

Gemcitabine is a new active drug in the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is validated that the response rate of the single agent gemcitabine was consistently above 20%, median survival was 34 weeks and it could improve the disease related symptoms with well toleranced toxicities by many clinical studies. This report reviews the clinical studies of gemcitabine in the patients with advanced NSCLC.
5.Surface Modification Technologies of Quantum Dots Based Biosensors and Their Medical Applications
Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2014;(7):1061-1069
Quantum dots( QDs) as a new type of nanostructured luminescent materials have been widely used in biology, materials science, and physical optics. QD-based biosensors can rapidly and accurately detect biological macromolecules or inorganic molecules both in vivo and in vitro. The surface of QDs, prior to their biological detection applications, needed to be modified to enhance their fluorescence properties and lower their biological toxicity. Currently, the surface modification technologies mainly include polymer modification, thiol compounds modification, mercapto propionic acid compounds modification and organic groups modification. Various biosensors can be developed by adopting different modification techniques, which have been adopted to locate and track a variety of biological molecules in vivo. Although a large number of literatures have reported the biological applications of QD-based biosensors, rare systematic reviews of surface modification technologies on QDs have been witnessed. In this paper, we reviewed the surface modification technologies of QDs in biosensors and their medical applications.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2016;23(3):77-79
Objective To establish an HPLC method for the simultaneous content determination of quercetin and kaempferol in Penthorum Chinense Pursh. Methods The HPLC analysis was carried out on Kromasil C18 (250 mm× 4.0 mm, 5.0 μm) with a mixture of methanol-0.1% phosphate (50:50) as the mobile phase. The determination wavelength was set at 360 nm with the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The column temperature was set at room temperature. Results The quercetin and kaempferol showed good linearity in the range of 0.105 6–2.112 0 μg and 0.023 6–0.472 μg respectively. The average recovery rates of quercetin and kaempferol were 98.46% (RSD=2.29%) and 98.17%(RSD=1.99%) respectively. Conclusion The method is accurate and sensitive, which can be used for the content determination of quercetin and kaempferol in Penthorum Chinense Pursh.
7.Expression and clinical significance of CD40 protein in human bladder cancer tissue
Cancer Research and Clinic 2010;22(4):219-221
Objective To investigate the expression of CD40 protein in bladder urothelium cancer and to explore its correlation with clinical stage, pathological grades, cell apoptosis. Methods Expression of CD4o protein was evaluated by immunohistochemistry in paracancerous tissues (20 cases) and bladder urothelium cancer tissues (78 cases). Apoptosis of bladder urothelium cancer tissues was detected by Hoechst to determine the apoptotic rate (AR). Results The expression rate of CD40 protein was 2/20(10 %) in the cases of paracancerous tissues, 55/78(70.5%) in the cases of bladder urothelium cancer tissues, a statistically significant differences of CD40 staining was observed between paracancerous tissues and bladder urothelium cancer tissues (P <0.01). Overexpression of CD40 was strongly inversely related to the tumor grade and clinical stage; the positive group of CD40 protein was (12.60±0.38)%, the negative group of CD40 protein was (6.77±0.53)%, a statistically significant differences of apoptosis were observed between CD40 protein positive group and CD40 protein negative group (P <0.01). It showed CD40 protein might induce cell apoptosis. Conclusion Expression of CD40 protein is closely related with clinical stage, pathological grade and cell apoptotic rate and may offer reliable evidence for diagnosis, treatment and prognosis in bladder urothelium cancer.
8.Effect of heat shock protein 72 on apoptosis of glomerulus endothelial cells in rats with hypoxic environment
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2016;29(7):713-717
Objective When the body is stimulated by hypoxia , the expression of heat shock protein 72 ( HSP72 ) is in-creased to produce anti-apoptosis effects .The aim of this paper is to study the effect of heat shock protein on apoptosis of cultured rat glomerulus endothelial cells ( GENC) under hypoxic environment . Methods Hypoxia was induced by cobalt chloride ( CoCl2 ) and GENC were divided into 5 groups ( normoxia group , hypoxia group , hypoxia+DMSO group , hypoxia+HSP72 inhibitor group , and hy-poxia+HSP72 agonist group ) according to the different intervention methods .The cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry and the expression of HSP72 was detected by Western blot . Results Compared with the normoxia group [(2.21 ±3.80)% and (0.23 ± 0.09)], the apoptosis rate and the expression of HSP72 were in-creased in the hypoxia group , hypoxia +DMSO group , hypoxia +HSP72 inhibitor group , and hypoxia +HSP72 agonist group [(24.54 ±3.59)% and (0.82 ±0.15), (29.25 ±1.63)% and (0.80 ±0.17), (36.07 ±1.19)%and (0.43 ±0.08), (18.10 ±2.59)%and (1.05 ±0.07)] (P<0.05).Compared with the hypoxia +DMSO group, the apoptosis rate was increased and the ex-pression of HSP72 was decreased in the hypoxia +HSP72 inhibitor group and the apoptosis rate was decreased and the expression of HSP72 was increased (P<0.05).There was no difference in the apoptosis rate and the expression between the hypoxia group and hy -poxia+DMSO group (P>0.05). Conclusion Hypoxia can induce the increased GENC apoptosis accompanied with the prolonged hypoxia .The increase or decrease of HSP 72 expression may lead to the decrease or increase of apoptosis , which is an important factor affecting the apoptosis of GENC under hypoxia .
