A total of 74 patients undergoing arthroscopic reconstruction for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury from January 2007 to September 2009 were randomly divided into the treatment and control groups.The treated patients started training at day 1 post-operation while the controls had initial external plaster fixation for 4 - 6 weeks followed by supporting devices with active and passive functional exercises of knee flexion and extension.All Lysholm scores in two groups were better at Month 12 than those at Month 3 [(93.8±2.7)vs.(81.8±4.2),(80.0±7.6) vs.(75.2±4.2); t=2.85,P＜0.0l,t=2.16,P＜0.05,respectively].The scores in the treatment group achieved better curative effects than those in the control group at Months 3,6 and 12 (P ＜0.01 ) ; Early and standard rehabilitation training for the patients with ACL injury of knee after reconstruction will facilitate the recovery of knee joint fumction.

In most non-excitable cells,the store-operated calcium channel (SOCC) in the plasma membrane is the major calcium entry pathway.SOCC plays an important role in calcium signals that control many cancer cellular processes such as adhesion,secretion,movement,gene expression,proliferation,division and apoptosis.Stromal interaction molecule 1 (STIM1) and Orail are the two important parts of SOCC.So overexpression or suppression expression of STIM1/Orail can regulate SOCC activity and biological characteristics of cancer cells.However,SOCC plays a contradictory role in cancer cells,which can both promote tumor progression and inhibit tumor progression.SOCC is expected to become a new target for the treatment of tumors,but its complicated mechanism needs to consider both types of tumor cells and the external stimulators of tumor cells.

Objective To investigate the expressions of AKT and ERK1/2 proteins in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and normal hypopharyngeal mucosa. Methods The expressions of AKT and ERK1/2 proteins were exam-ined by immunohistochemical S-P technique in 60 patients with hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and 15 cases of normal hypopharyngeal mucosa . The relationship between expressions of AKT and ERK1/2 proteins and clinical pathologi-cal feathers was analyzed. Results The positive rates of the expressions of AKT and ERK1/2 were 78.3% (47/60) and 66.7%(40/60) in 60 cases of hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, which were significantly higher than those in 15 cas-es of normal hypopharyngeal mucosa [13.3%(2/15) and 6.7%(1/15), P<0.05]. The lower the degree of differentiation, the later the clinical stage, the higher the positive expression rates of AKT and ERK1/2. There were significantly higher expres-sions of AKT and ERK1/2 in patients with lymph node metastasis than those of patients without lymph node metastasis (P<0.05 or P<0.01). There was a positive correlation between expression levels of AKT and ERK1/2 (rs=0.400,P<0.05). Con-clusion There were higher expression levels of AKT and ERK1/2 in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. The activa-tion of AKT and ERK1/2 proteins promotes hypopharyngeal occurrence, development and metastasis.

Objective To investigate superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity in peripheric blood of type 2 diabetic patients(NIDDM) complicated with diabetic nephropathy(DN) and SOD alteration after insulin treatment.Methods Three groups of individuals were selected.Group A included 46 cases of NIDDM patients with DN.Group B included 43 cases of NIDDM patients with stable blood sugar.Group C included 40 cases of normal individual.Xanthine enzyme method was used to test SOD.Results The total SOD(T-SOD),CuZn-SOD,Mn-SOD in group A,B and C were 94 7?10 7,58 3?6 2 and 36 4?4 3;101 6?9 3,61 5?5 6 and 39 6?3 7;104 4?8 9,63 7?5 3 and 40 7?4 1;respectively.The SODs level in group A were significant lower than those in group B and group C(P

Objective:To establish a method for the determination of residual 5 heavy metal elements in single use and gravity feed infusion sets and intravenous infusion needles, including Cd, Cr, Cu, Sn and Pb. Methods:After the pre-preparation,the sample was dissolved in 1% nitrate. The 5 heavy metal elements in the sample solution were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spec-trometry (ICP-MS). Results:Under the ICP-MS assay conditions, each element showed good linearity within the range of 0-50 ng· ml-1(r>0. 999 0). The average recoveries were within the range of 92%-116% and 1. 6%-2. 9%, respectively (RSD<3,n=9). Conclusion:The operation is simple and can meet the demand for the analysis of heavy metal elements in single use and gravity feed infusion sets and intravenous infusion needles.

Objective To evaluate the association between serum ferritin and the risk of cardiovascular disease among the Chinese population.Methods Based on the data from China Health and Nutrition Survey 2009, we used the Framingham risk score to calculate the 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease and analyzed the association between serum ferritin and the risk of cardiovascular disease in different gender by logistic regression analysis.Results Among 6 551 respondents, 3 035 (46.3%) were males and 3 516 ( 53.7%) were females whose mean age were ( 49.3 ±13.8 ) and ( 49.2 ±13.7 ) years, respectively.The median level of serum ferritin was 75.08 ( 36.71 -138.75 )μg/L.According to the 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease calculated by the Framingham risk score , the low risk group, middle risk group and high risk group were accounted for 79.5%( n=5 207 ) , 15.7% ( n=1 028 ) and 4.8%( n=316), respectively.The median of serum ferritin (121.61 vs.46.14, P<0.01) and the Framingham risk score (8.6 ±6.0 vs.7.3 ±1.6, P<0.01) of males were higher than those of females.The percentages of the middle risk group ( 30.6% vs.2.8%) and high risk group ( 9.8% vs.0.5%) of 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease in males were higher than those in females ( P <0.01 ).The 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease ≥10%increased with the increasing of serum ferritin in females ( trend P<0.01 ) but not in males.Conclusion Serum ferritin levels are positively correlated with the risk of cardiovascular disease in female Chinese.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics and regularity of antineoplastic medicine-induced adverse drug reaction (ADR) occurred in our hospital. METHODS: 162 antineoplastic medicine-induced ADR cases reported in our hospital from 2005 to 2008 were analyzed statistically in respect of patients’age and sex, categories of drugs, route of administration, drug combination,organs and systems involved in ADR and clinical manifestation, etc. RESULTS: Of the total 162 ADR cases, proportion of men was similar to women. 68 cases (41.98%) were old persons aged older than 60. 123 cases(75.93%) were single use of drugs, 39 cases(24.07%) were combined use of drugs. 39.51% of ADR cases were induced by antineoplastic medicine made from plants and took up the first place in terms of incidence of ADR. 36.42% of ADR cases dominantly manifested as lesion of skin and its appendants. CONCLUSION: ADR monitoring of antineoplastic medicine should be strengthened to ensure rational and standardized use of antineoplastic medicine, avoid or reduce the occurrence of severe ADR.

Objective To investigate the needs and related factors of training for parents of pre-school children with autism in Beijing. Methods From March to June, 2013, 154 parents of pre-school children with autism in Beijing were investigated with questionnaire. Re-sults The parents of pre-school children with autism needed a wide range of training, especially the professional guidance and cooperation. The degree of education of parents and the gender of children associated with the content of the training. Conclusion The parents of pre-school children with autism need a wide range of training, especially the professional guidance and cooperation.

This article discusses SYNTAX EDITOR'S actual application of SPSS (11.5) FOR WINDOWS for blind review in drug clinical trials with examples. The results show that applying SPSS software can deal with blind review easily, and produce corresponding report, get fast and exact result.

Objective: The reliability of multiple exposure technique in QA imaging was evaluated by combining IP plate of X-ray radiography and homemade QA verification plate. Methods: The QA verification films with different properties derived from placing the QA verification plate and the IP plate on corresponding location were compared with established traditional QA methods. Results: The data from verification films of light and radiation field overlapping derived from combining QA verification plate and IP plate were analyzed by eFilm software in 10cm×10cm radiation field. The results were similar with that of 3D water tank scanning, and were basically same with the analytical results collected from the PTW 2D-ARRAY729 matrix. Conclusion:Using described method in this paper, the result was accurate, the operation was easy, and the cost was low. This method was of good practicability.
