AIM To determine the contents of the two free-and conjugated quercetin and genistein in Huaijiao Pills (Fructus Sohorae,Radix Sanguisorbae,Radix Scutellariae,etc.).by RP-HPLC. METHODS HPLC was employed with a column of Diamonsil ODS-C_ 18 (4.6 mm?150 mm,5.0 ?m) and a mobile phase of MeOH-H_2O-HAc(2∶ 3∶ 0.25),the detection wavelength being at 254 nm and the column temperature being at 30?C . RESULTS Nice linear correlation existed, when quercetin was within 0.204 8-1.229 ?g and genistein within 0.532 5-3.192 ?g.The correlation coefficient of each group was 0.999 1 and 0.999 8 respectively.The average recoveries of quercetin and genistein were 99.0 % and 99.1 % ,respectively.The RSDs were 1.02 % and 0.40 % ( n =5),respectively. CONCLUSION With this method,quercetin and genistein in Huaijiao Pills could be determined simultaneously and applicable to the quality control of Huaijiao Pill.

Objective To study the inductive effect of targeted UVB phototherapy on skin hyperpigmentation and its mechanism.Methods Ten brownish guinea pigs were used to develop experimental models.After depilation,four adjacent areas were selected on the back of each guinea pigs and served as the control,low-dose,moderate-dose and high-dose group to receive targeted UVB irradiation with a cumulative dose of O,2500,3500,4500 mJ/cm2,respectively.After 6-week irradiation,the guinea pigs were sacrificed and skin sampies were obtained.The hyperpigmentation induced by UVB irradiation was estimated by naked eyes,staining for melanocytes(Imokawa method)and melanin granules(Masson-Fontana staining),respectively.Immunohistochemistry was carried out to determine the level of nitric oxide synthase and HE staining to observe epidermal histological changes.Results A statistical difference was observed in the pigmentation score,quantity of melanin granules and dopa-positive melanocyte number among the four groups (P<0.05),and the moderatedose group was higher than the high-dose group in terms of these parameters.The expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase increased in a radiation dose-dependent manner,and the median value for inducible nitric oxide synthase expression level was 0.50,1.25,1.75,2.00 in the control,low-dose,moderate-dose and highdose group,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusions Targeted UVB phototherapy can induce hyperpigmentation of the skin in brownish guinea pigs in a dose-dependent manner,but higher dose may not work better.To irradiate with an initial dose close to or slightly higher than the minimum erythema dose may result in a satisfactory effect with reduced cumulative dose and potential risk for cancer.

A questionnaire survey was conducted in 724 students from three junior high schools in Shanghai Jinshan district.Total 642 students completed the questionnaire with a response rate of 88.7％,among them 75 were overweighted or obese.The positive rate of 6 out 8 unhealthy psycho-behavioral practices related to weight control in overweight or obese students was significantly higher than that of students with normal weight (all P ＜ 0.05).Binary logistic backward stepwise regression analysis showed that overweight or obesity was risk factor for the unhealthy psycho-behavior practices related to weight control in adolescent students.

Objective To observe urinary iodine levels in the rat model for excessive iodine intake and monophagia.Methods Wistar rats were randomly divided into 8 groups:normal diet control group(NC),10-fold iodine + normal diet group(10 HI-N),50-fold iodine + normal diet group(50 HI-N),100-fold iodine + normal diet group(100 HI-N),monophagia control group(MC),10-fold iodine + monophagia group(10 HI-M),50-fold iodine + monophagia group(50 HI-M),100-fold iodine + monophagia group(100 HI-M).The excessive iodine intake groups exposed to 1 400,7 600,15 350 ?g/L I-through drinking water presented higher levels of daily iodine intake,which were 10,50,100 times of those in control groups.During the exposure period,the body weights of the rats were measured weekly,the levels of urinary iodine were determined at the second,the fourth and the sixth month.Results The body weights of the excessive iodine intake groups with monophagia were lower than that of the NC group.In normal diet groups and monophagia diet groups,the levels of urinary iodine increased with the increase of iodine intake.The levels of urine iodine in 50 HI-M group and 100 HI-M group were significantly higher than those of the related groups with higher iodine intake.Conclusion The experimental animal model of excessive iodine intake and monophagia are successfully established in the present research,with physical retardation and higher urinary iodine.

Objective To investigate the effect of biofeedback electrical stimulation and pelvic floor muscle training on the rehabilitation of pelvic floor muscle after delivery by vaginal delivery.Methods From January 2014 to June 2015,90 cases who received pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment after vaginal delivery in Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of our hospital were selected as the research subjects.According to whether the patients received pelvic floor rehabilitation training,they were divided into the treatment group and control group,90 cases in each group.The treatment group received biofeedback electrical stimulation,pelvic floor muscle training methods of rehabilitation at 6 weeks postpartum.The control group did not take any measures of rehabilitation.Results 4 months postpartum,the bladder neck mobility,urethral rotation angle of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (t =6.052,4.400,all P ＜0.05).the vaginal muscles voltage measured values of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (t =9.524,P ＜ 0.05).4 months postpartum,in the treatment group,vaginal muscle Ⅰ grade in 24.44％,grade Ⅱ in 55.56％ and grade Ⅲ in 17.78％,grade ⅣV in 2.22％;in the control group,the vaginal muscle strength grade Ⅰ in 44.44％,grade Ⅱ in 55.56％;The vaginal muscle distribution in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (Z =-2.865,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion After vaginal delivery,maternal postpartum receiving biofeedback electrical stimulation,pelvic floor muscle exercise can significantly promote the recovery of pelvic floor muscle function.

Objective To study the method of surgical correction for pelvic obliquity secondary to leg length inequality. Methods Pelvic equilibrium operation is designed to correct the fixed pelvic obliquity, equilibrate the two lower limbs by bilateral iliac osteotomies with transfer of a block of iliac bone from the normal ilium into the abnormal ilium of the contralateral side. This procedure also corrects the associated acetabular dysplasia. Results In this series of 32 patients, none was lost to follow-up. Thirty-two patients, 19 males and 13 females, whose ages ranged from 14 to 34 years with a mean of 22 years, underwent surgery; twenty-four cases had fixed pelvic obliquity and acetabular dysplasia secondary to a short limb following anterior poliomyelitis. The deformities in seven cases were due to severe tuberculous infection in childhood which had resulted in a fixed adducted ankylosed hip. The pelvic equilibrium was caused by trauma in one case. During the review, the minimum time from surgery was 2 years and 6 months, and the maximum 13 years and 6 months with a mean of 6 years and 8 months. The results were excellent. Preoperatively, 29 patients walked on crutches, and postoperatively, 25 patients could walk unaided, one with a stick and three on single crutch. In this paper, we also presented the associated experiment research of pelvic equilibrium operation. Conclusion Pelvic equilibrium operation has been proved to be a new effective surgical correction method of pelvic obliquity secondary to leg length inequality.

Objective:To investigate the effects of YiqiWenyangHuoxue decoction on NF-?B in the myocardial remodeling of rat with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods:Heart failure medel was established with ? ushing dose isoproterenol in rats and cardiac hypertrophy with angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ) stimulation 48h in myocardial cell.The model rats and cardiocytes with CHF were treated with YiqiWenyangHuoxue decoction,then cardiac index in model rats was measured;TNF-?,IL-18 were determined by ELISA;NF-?B mRNA evaluated with RT-PCR,and protein by Western-blot.Results:Compared with the control group,TNF-?,IL-18 concentration were significantly higher,as well as NF-?B mRNA and protein levels not only in myocardial tissues but also in cardiocytes of CHF groups.But those can be attenuated by YiqiWenyangHuoxue decoction.Conclusions:NF-?B plays important roles in the myocardial remodeling of CHF;and YiqiWenyangHuoxue decoction may reverse the myocardial remodeling through blockingNF-?B.

Objective To study the feasibility of cerebral state index(CSI)modulating the depth of general anesthesia in the elderly with laryngeal mask anesthesia.Methods Tmenty-four ASA physical status of Ⅱ-Ⅲ patients undergoing selective lower abdominal surgery were divided two groups with 12 cases.The anesthesia was induced by sufentanil、 propofuland maintained with TCI propofol.The depth of anesthesia was modulated by CSI index in group I or by hemodynamics in group Ⅱ.HR、SBP、DBP、MAP and CSI were recorded.The time of awakening form anesthesia(the time when OAA/S reached 4 score after the drawal of propofol)and the dosage of propofol and fentanyl were recored.Results The time of awakening from anesthesia was 16?5min in group Ⅱ,which was significantly longer than that in group I(P
