1.The role of mast cells in responses to bacterial and viral infection
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
Since the discovery of mast cells (MCs) in 1878, MCs have long been recognised to be the key effector cells in allergic reactions. However, little is known about their roles in defending microorganisms. In this review, the recent research progress in the roles of MCs, in the body defence against bacterial and viral infection, in pathogen recognition mechanisms and in inflammatory mediator release are discussed.
2.Modification of Light Environment of Training Room for Vision Rehabilitation
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(3):362-364
Light environment is an important component of vision rehabilitation training room, and play a role for the people with visual disability. Based on the relationship between the low vision and light environment, the modification of vision rehabilitation training room were discussed in term of light environment, including light for different sorts and severities of visual disability, preventing glare, color rendering and stroboscopic effect and so on, and the objects to see. The possible schemes for modification were designed.

Objective To compare different susceptibility testing methods of tigecycline against Acinetobacter baumannii and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Methods Fifty carbapenem-resietant A.baumannii (CRAB) strains and 49 K.pneumoniae strains were collected from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital during January and March 2012.Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and inhibitory zone diameters for tigecycline were determined by broth microdilution,Vitek-2,MTS and disk diffusion methods. The results of Vitek-2,MTS and disk diffusion methods were compared with those of broth microdilution method. Results According to FDA standards, the susceptibilities of CRAB and K.pneumoniae to tigecycline determined by broth microdilution,Vitek-2 and MTS were 94.0%/91.8%,68.0%/91.8% and 90.0%/91.8%,respectively.For CRAB isolates, the essential agreement (EA) and categorical agreement (CA) produced by Vitek-2 and MTS were 94.0%/72.0% and 92.0%/90.0%.MICs determined by Vitek-2 were 1-2 dilutions higher than the reference method in 33 (66.0%) strains, and those determined by MTS were higher in 16 (32.0%) strains and lower in 11 (22.0%) strains. For K.pneumoniae isolates, the EA/CA produced by Vitek-2 and MTS were 95.9%/98.0% and 83.7%/91.8%,respectively.MICs determined by Vitek-2 were 1-3 dilutions lower than the reference method in 17 (34.7%) strains, and those determined by MTS were 1-3 dilutions lower than the reference method in 39 (79.6%) strains.None of thetwo methods produced very major error (VME) and major error (ME) against two kinds of isolates. The results were determined by disk diffusion method using different breakpoints according different isolates. For CRAB,using ≥14 mm/≤ 10 mm as breakpoint,CA was 94.0%,which was higher than the breakpoint recommended by Jones et al (≥16 mm/≤12 mm,CA was 82.0%) ; and for K.pneumoniae, using the ≥ 14 mm/≤ 10 mm as breakpoint,CA was 93.9%,higher than the FDA Enterobacteriaceae breakpoint (≥ 19 mm/≤ 14 mm,CA was 67.3%).Conclusion For CRAB strains,MTS produces better consistence with broth microdilution, with several higher or lower MIC results. For K.pneumoniae strains,Vitek-2 has better correlation with reference method, with several lower MIC results. The consistence between disk diffusion method and broth microdilution is comparatively lower, and the breakpoint should be adjusted according to different bacteria.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(6):874-80
A series of valproic acid salicylanilide esters were designed and synthesized based on the principle of prodrug. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed by MS, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. Anti-tumor activities of these compounds against K562, A549, A431 cells in vitro were investigated by MTT assay and SRB assay. The results indicated that the compounds 6h-6j were found to have stronger cell growth inhibitory action than gefitinib, and comparable to niclosamide, which are worth to be intensively studied further.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(06):-
OBJECTIVE To get the message of drug sensitivity and characteristic of Candida infecting patients in our hospital. METHODS The CHROMagar candida color medium was applied to isolate and identify Candida strains.Drug sensitivity was analyzed by the K-B slip diffusion method. RESULTS Totally 393 strains of Candida in our hospital were isolated in the three years, including Candida albicans;C.tropicalis;C.glabrata;(C.krusei);Cryptococcus neoformans and the others;and their infection rate was 63.10%,12.47%,9.41%,8.40%,1.53%,and 5.09%,respectively.Among all strains,156(39.69%) strains were isolated from sputum,(66(16.79%))from stool,45(11.45%) from urine,38(9.67%)from leucorrhea, and 34(8.65%)from throat swabs.Sensitivity results to nine antifungals showed that 5-flucytosine,fluconazole,clotrimazole,amphotericin B,and nystatin had higher drug sensitivity to these fungi. CONCLUSIONS Isolated rate of Candida is higher from clinical samples.Drug sensitivity of different Candida to various antibiotics is different.Culturing and drug sensitivity of Candida should be put on important place and antibiotics should be used reasonably based on drug sensitive test to reduce drug resistance.

Chinese Journal of Sports Medicine 2017;36(5):416-419,428
Objective To observe the effect of a repeated-sprint training on the speed-endurance of basketball players in a hypoxia environment. Methods Sixteen basketball players were divided into a hypoxiagroup and a normoxia group which had 8 persons each group. The 2 groups separatelyhad a repeated-sprint training with anaerobic power bicycles in a simulatedhypoxic environment at the altitude of 3000 meters and a normoxia environment for 4 weeks(twice a week). Before and after the training, the two groups of subjects had a shuttle run testing and a Wingateanaerobic powertestingin a normoxia environment. Then their blood were collected and measured the blood lactate level at the point-intime of after the shuttle run,3 min later,5 min later,7 min later, and 9 min later.Recorded the result of the shuttle run,the relative average power of the Wingateanaerobic powertesting, and carried on a statistic analysis of the data. Results Comparing with the performance of the shuttle run before the training, the performance of the 2 groups was improved obviously after the four-week-long training (P<0.05).But there was no significant difference between the 2 groups(P>0.05).The rate of blood lacticacid clearance in the hypoxia group was higher than that in the normoxia group, and there was a significant difference at 7 min (P<0.01).The relative average power of the hypoxia group had a significant improvement(P<0.05),while the normoxia group had no significant change(P>0.05).There was no significant difference of the relative average power between the two groups. Conclusion Repeatedsprint training can improve basketball players' speed-endurance.Repeated-sprint training in a hypoxic environment can effectively improve basketball players' ability of reducing blood lactate in their body, and the improvement of this aerobic ability can help athletes to have a better performance in competitions.

Objective To explore the correlation between the clinical nurses’turnover intention and their job satisfaction of their present working status.Method The Mueller/Mccloskey Satisfaction Scales(MMSS)and Turnover Intention Scale(TIS)were employed to implement the questionnaire survey among 531 registered nurses from a hospital in Taishan,Guangdong. Results The total scores on nurses turnover intention and their job satisfaction were(3?34±0?40)and(14?54±1?38)respectively.The opportunity for professional improvement, welfare and income, balance between job and family were negatively correlated with their turnover intention (all P<0?05).Conclusions The nursing administration should look into the conditions of nurse’s turnover intention and their job satisfactions so that they can take effective measures to improve their job satisfaction and decrease their turnover intention.
