Objective To present the CT and MRI findings of the fibrous dysplasia(FD) of the spine. Methods CT and MRI findings were retrospectively evaluated in 19 cases of FD of spine, all of which were confirmed pathologically.Nineteen patients underwent CT plain scanning(19/19) and 5 had enhanced CT scanning(5/19).Patients were also examined by MRI plain scan(11/11) or MRI enhanced scan (6/11).The location of tumors, the type of bone destruction, the boundary of lesions, internal intensity or signal, the enhancement pattern of lesions, and presence of compression fractures, spinal deformity were observed.Result Nine cases had monostotic FD,while 10 had polyostotic FD.In all the 49 lesions of 19 cases,13 lesions were located in the cervical vertebrae,23 lesions in the thoracic vertebrae,11 lesions in lumbar vertebrae, and 2 lesions in sacral vertebrae.Thirty-three lesions involved both vertebral body and appendix.Pure osteolysis were found in 26 lesions on CT examinations.Peripheral osteosclerosis rims (41/49) and expansive lesions(32/49) were seen.Residual bone crest(28/49) and ground-glass opacity(23/49)were noted.Different degrees of vertebral compression were found in 19 lesions.Five patients had spinal deformity. On T1WI,14 lesions showed intermediate or low signal, and 10 lesions presented as heterogeneous signal. On T2WI,6 lesions had low signal intensity,4 lesions were noted as hyperintensive, and 14 lesions presented as heterogeneous signal.Multiple fluid-fluid levels were found in 1 lesion.Low signal rims were seen in 14 lesions.Twenty lesions of 11 patients had significant enhancement. Conclusion Expansive pattern,ground-glass opacity, peripheral osteosclerosis rims and significant enhancement were helpful findings for the diagnosis of spinal FD.
2.The Empirical Research of the Impact of Health Insurance on Consumption for Urban and Rural Households
Chinese Health Economics 2013;(10):5-7
Objective: To explore the effect of health insurance on consumption for rural and urban households. Methods: Using empirical study with the method of quasi-social experiment. Results: Households with health insurance have more consumption than those without health insurance. The higher the coverage of family health insurance improves, the more effects medical insurance would encourage family consumption. Meanwhile, the marginal effect of health insurance on rural households ’ consumption is much bigger than that of urban households. Conclusion: Through enhancing households’ risk tolerance, health insurance reduces households’ precautionary saving motivation and impels to increase the current consumption.
3.Visual electrophysiological abnormality in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome
Recent Advances in Ophthalmology 2000;20(5):328-330
Objective To study the visual electrophyological changes in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome(PIH).Methods The visual evoked potentials (VEP) and electroretinogram (ERG) of 28 patients with PIH in 56 eyes were recorded. Results The patients with PIH had pathologic visual electrophysiologic abnormalities. The VEP N75 peak latency significantly increased(P<0.05), and the ERG b wave latency in patients with PIH showed remarkable difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Visual electrophysiological examination may be valuable in early diagnosis of retinal disfunction in patients with PIH.
4.Progress on DAB2IP gene
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2011;27(7):1445-1449
Human DAB2 interaction protein (DAB2IP) is a novel member of Ras GTPase-activating protein family. It interacts directly with disabled-2 protein (DAB2/DOC2) which suppresses growth of cancers derived from different tissues, including mammary, prostate and ovarian cancers. DAB2IP was identified as an immediate downstream effector mediated by DAB2/DOC2. DAB2IP and DAB2/DOC2 form a unique protein complex that has a negative regulatory effect on the Ras-mediated signal pathway. It is demonstrated that DAB2IP is a tumor suppressor gene inactivated by methylation in several cancers. This article reviews the structure and biological functions of DAB2IP gene as well as its potential roles in carcinogenesis and evolution.
5.Effect of dexmedetomidine for blood pressure, heart rate and SpO2 levels during anesthesia inquiry in elderly hypertensive patients
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2015;(19):2950-2953
Objective To explore the effect of dexmedetomidine(DEX)for blood pressure, heart rate(HR) and SpO2 levels during anesthesia inquiry in elderly hypertensive(HBP)patients. Methods 96 cases with HBP accepted surgery were selected, and were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, each group in 48 cases,The patients in the observation group continuous pumped into the 4μg/mL of DEX during surgery, while the control group continuous pumped into 0.9% sodium chloride solution during surgery.Heart rate(HR),sys-tolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2 )of the two groups after room entrance(T0),after DEX infusion(T1),before intubation(T2),after 2min intubation(T3)and 10 min(T4)after intubation were recorded and compared, extubated time, spontaneous breathing recovery time, call time to eye opening and hospitalization time and the incidence of adverse reactions in two groups were recorded. Results The difference of HR SBP,DBP and SpO2 at T0 and T4 between the two groups was not statistically significant(all P >0.05);HR, SBP and DBP were significantly lower in the observation group than those in the control group at T1,T2,T3(all P <0.05).There were no significant changes of SpO2 in the patientˊs after the room entrance;extubated time, spontaneous breathing recovery time, call time to eye opening and hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t =8.874,9.073,8.573,all P <0.05).The adverse reactions rate in the observation group was 4.2%,which in the control group was 6.3%,the difference was not statistically significant(P >0.05). Conclusion Continuous pumped DEX has a significant sedative effect in elderly HBP patients during surgery, and does not produce respiratory depression, can help elderly patients with HBP smoothly pass the perioperative period.
