Reference service is one of the key tasks in library.The current situation of reference service in library and its problems were analyzed from the need of readers, and the problems to which attention should be paid were pointed out from its convenience and time-effectiveness .

Objective To recommend the appropriate retrieval tools for scientific researchers and improve their re-trieval efficiency by comparatively analyzing the retrieval results from PubMed and Embase .com.Methods Eight retrieval terms from different subjects were used to retrieve PubMed and Embase .com by subject headings and basic retrieval methods than can automatically transfer their function .Results Six different results were retrieved from PubMed and Embase.com with 8 retrieval terms.Conclusion The recall ratio is higher in Embase.com than in PubMed when they are retrieved by subject headings while the accuracy ratio is higher in PubMed than in Embase . com when they are retrieved by basic retrieval methods than can automatically transfer their function although error transformation occurs in both PubMed and Embase.com.

Viral myocarditis can cause severe myocardial injury and even acute heart failure, then evolve into dilated cardiomyopathy, known as inflammatory cardiomyopathy. Immune reaction plays a key role in the transformation from viral myocarditis into dilated cardiomyopathy, including virus RNA continuous replication,immune-mediated injury, cellular apoptosis, other cellular immune response , myocardial antibodies and other humoral immune response. In the clinical treatment, besides anti-heart failure and cardiac nutrition, the use of ribavirin, α1-receptor blockers, β-receptor blockers, calcium channel blockers, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and spironolactone should be emphasized.

Objective To understand the learning needs of nursing students for nursing English in senior high vocational school.Methods A survey was carried out among 982 three-year nursing students in grade 2007-2009 in Cangzhou medical college by questionnaire.The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics with SPSS 17.0.Results Most students (93.0％) believed that nursing English was important and had a strong desire for most English skills,especially speaking and listening ability.They (90.7％) expected nursing teachers to take charge of or participate in teaching work and some students (30.6％) were dissatisfied with teaching material.They depended on teachers' instruction and preferred learning in real situations.Conclusions Nursing students in senior high vocational school have strong needs for nursing English,but there is a gap between current teaching situation and learning needs,which the course designers and teachers should take into full consideration in order to make the teaching more effective.

With the development of clinical pharmacy in hospital,the demand for pharmacy intravenous admixture services (PIVAS) has been gradually increased.By being built inside the pharmacies,PIVAS of this hospital has created a full range of integrated pharmacy service platform.With independent research and development of information management system,innovative design of the modules and equipments based on the concept of internet of things,and integration of artificial and computerized checking,PIVAS of this hospital has formed a system of prevention and control chain,it has been deepening the connotation of clinical pharmacy services,and providing higher quality pharmacy services to clinical drug using.

Objective To summarize the experience of nursing cooperation in endoscopic sinus surgery for low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation of skull base tumor, and to explore the safety and feasibility of this technique. Methods A total of 69 patients with skull base tumor were treated with low temperature plasma radio frequency technology to remove skull base tumor. Results Totally 62 cases of skull base tumors completed total resection in low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation, 7 cases gained subtotal resection. The operation demonstrated superior advantage of less bleeding, short operation time, less postoperative pain and no adverse events. Conclusions The skull base tumor resection for patients with skull base tumors with low-temperature plasma radiofrequency possesses the advantages of short operation time, less bleeding and thermal damage to the surrounding tissues, besides it can reduce the postoperative discomfort, shorten hospitalization time and reduce the occurrence of nursing adverse events.

Objective To observe protective effects of parthenolide ( PTN) in rats with doxorubicin-induced nephropathy and its mechanims. Methods 48 male rats were randomly divided into six groups: blank group, model group, vehicle group, and parthenolide-treated group (1.5, 3, 6 mg/kg).The models of doxorubicin-induced nephropathy were established by tail vein injection of 5 mg/kg doxorubicin for one time.After consecutive treatment of PTN for seven days, the BUN and Cr in serum, and nitricoxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA), nitricoxidesynthase (NOS), glutathione peroxidase (GSH), superoxide dismutase (SOD) in renal tissues were detected.The pathological changes of renal tissue was observed by HE method. ResuIts There was significant pathological changes of renal tissue in model group, that showed basophilic change, interstitial inflammatory hyperplasia and inflammatory infiltratio, after PTN 6 mg/kg treatment, the above changes significant improved.The serum BUN and Cr levels in PTN 1.5 mg/kg, PTN 3 mg/kg and PTN 6 mg/kg group were lower than those in model group (P<0.05);there were no significant differences of above indexes between PTN 3 mg/kg, PTN 6 mg/kg group and blank gorup.Compared with model group, the SOD and GSH activity were higher and MDA level was lower in three different dosage of PTN groups (P<0.05); there were no significant differences of SOD activity between PTN 3 mg/kg, PTN 6 mg/kg group and blank gorup; there were no significant differences of GSH activity and MDA level between PTN 6 mg/kg group and blank gorup.The NO level and NOS activity in three different dosage of PTN groups were higher (P<0.05);there were no significant differences of NO level and NOS activity between PTN 6 mg/kg group and blank gorup.ConcIusion Parthenolide has protective effects on doxorubicin-induced nephropathy, and its mechanism might be antioxidative effects.

Objective To establish the reference intervals of thyroid hormone levels fro the women in early ,middle and late preg‐nancy in the local area .Methods Through the strict screening for routine diagnosis of pregnant women who went to the hospital , we choose 420 women with 6-37 weeks of pregnancy and 120 non pregnancy women(control group) .Chemiluminescence was used to detect thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH) ,free thyroxine(FT4 ) ,total thyroxine(TT4 ) ,free triiodothyronine(FT3) ,total triiodo‐thyronine(TT3 ) for the pregnant women in early pregnancy(0-12 weeks) ,mid‐pregnancy(13-27 weeks) ,and late pregnancy(28-40 weeks) and women in control group .Using those data ,we established reference intervals of thyroid hormone and use bilateral limits P2 .5 - P97 .5 to represent .Results The differences of serum TSH ,FT4 ,TT4 ,TT3 concentration between pregnant group and control group were statistically significant(P<0 .05);while the difference of serum FT3 concentration between pregnant group and control group was not statistically significant(P=0 .79) .The concentration of TSH was not statistically significantly different in the mid‐pregnancy compared with late pregnancy(P=0 .933) ,the reference interval can be merged as 0 .56-3 .94μIU/mL .Conclu‐sion The establishment of normal reference interval of thyroid hormone concentration in different period of pregnancy respectively is conducive to the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease in pregnancy .

Objective To construct pEGFP-N1-TGF-β1 recombinant plasmid and transfect it into primary cultured neonatal piglet type Ⅱ alveolar epithelium cell (AEC-Ⅱ) by using lipofectamine 2000,in order to provide basis of methodology for producing recombinant plasmids for transplantation of transfected AEC-Ⅱ into ALI/ARDS animal model lungs.Methods PCR primers were designed to amplify the human TGF-β1 cDNA fragment from plasmid.XhoI and EcoRI were used for double digesting the empty plasmid pEGFP-N1 and cDNA fragment of human TGF-β1.Then the products of double enzyme digestion by using T4 DNA ligase were connected and transformed into DH5α and cultured over night for 16 hours.The structure of recombinant plasmid was identified by using PCR and base sequencing to verify the correctness of pEGFP-N1-TGF-β1 recombinant plasmid.It was then transfected into primarily cultured AEC-Ⅱ by lipofectamine2000 mediated transfection and cultured for another 48 hour.Plasmid DNA (pEGFP-N1-TGF-β1 recombinant plasmid) and lipofectamine 2000 were added into serum-free DMEM respectively,then DNA suspension and Lipofectamine 2000 suspension were blended together and added into cells.After 24-48 hours later,the expression level of enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) was evaluated under fluorescence microscope.Results The structure of vector was verified as pEGFP-N1-TGF-β1 recombinant plasmid by using PCR and base sequencing.Green fluorescence found in some cells showed that the pEGFP-N1-TGF-β1 recombinant plasmids had been successfully transfected into primary cultured AEC-Ⅱ,however,the transfection efficiency still need tobe further improved such as repeating the transfection procedure once again or using adenovirus mediated transfection method to improve the efficiceny and to transplant the cells into animal lungs eventually.Conclusions pEGFP-N1-TGF-β1 recombinant plasmid was successfully constructed and,for the first time,transfected into primarily cultured AEC-Ⅱ of newborn piglets.This established method should be useful for investigation of therapeutic effect and outcomes of lung with experimental acute lung injury.
