2.Correlation between age and general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis.

OBJECTIVE:
To study the correlation between age and general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis and its forensic significance.
METHODS:
Eighty-six corpses' cartilago costalis from the routine postmortem examination were collected and the morphological features of their transverse section were observed.
RESULTS:
With the increased age, there were regular changes in the color, structure, and material of the general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis. But the changes were not affected by gender.
CONCLUSION
The good correlation between general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis and age can be used to estimate age of the deceased rapidly.

3.Study of Rhubarb anti-Yersina pestis based on DNA microarray

Objective To establish a method for studying molecular mechanism of Rhubarb inhibiting anti-Yersinia pesti based on DNA microarray.Methods A whole genome DN A microarray containing 4005 annotated genes of Yersiniapesti Was used.The minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)of Rhubarb to Yersiniapestiwas determined by liquid dilution method.The gene expression profile of Yersinia pesti was performed after the exposure to Rhubarb at a concentration of 10×MIC for 30 minutes.The total RNA extracted and purified from Yersinia pesti Was reversely transfected to cDNA and labeled by Cy3-Cy5 dye.The labeled probes were hybridized to the microarray anti the results were obtained by a laser scanner and the microarray data was confirmed by real-time quantitative RT-PCR.Results The platform of the DNA microarray-based bacteria transcriptional profile was established.A total of 498 genes of Yersinia pesti changed significantly in response to Rhubarb.Among them.358 genes were up-regulated,140 down-reguated.Conclusions The whole genome DNA microarray can be used in the studying of molecular anti-Yersinia pesti mechanism of Rhubarb.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the chemical constituents of Dendrobium chrysotoxum.
METHODThe chemical constituents were isolated by various column chromatographic methods and structurally elucidated by spectral evidences.
RESULTTen compounds were obtained and identified as (+)-syringare sinol (1), 5alpha, 8alpha-epidioxy-24( R)-methycholesta-6, 22-dien-3beta-ol (2), trans-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-acrylic acid octacosyl ester (3), defusin (4), 3, 4-dihydroxy benzoic acid (5), 3, 4-dimethoxy-benzoic acid (6), vanillic acid (7), 3, 4-dimethoxy-benzoic acid methyl ester (8), 3, 5-dibromo-2-aminobenzaldehyde (9), heptadecanoic acid 2, 3-dihydroxy-propyl ester (10).
CONCLUSIONCompounds 1, 2 and 6-10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

6.Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of testis: a clinicopathologic and immunophenotypic study of 58 cases.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinicopathologic features, immunophenotype, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, and prognostic factors of testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
METHODSThe clinical and pathologic profiles of 58 cases of testicular DLBCL were investigated.Immunohistochemical stainings and EBER1/2 in situ hybridization were performed on formalin fixed tissues.
RESULTSThe average age of the patients was 62.1 years, and the median age was 65 years. The course of disease was short in most of the cases. Clinical stages at diagnosis were mainly stage I or II (87.9%, 51/58). Forty eight patients (82.8%) had unilateral testis involvement. Inguinal lymphadenopathy was observed in 12 (20.7%) patients and the other organs were seldom involved. Morphologically, centroblast-like neoplastic cells infiltrated interstitial tissue of testis diffusely and invaded into seminiferous tubules. Tunica albuginea and vessels were involved in 14 (24.1%) and 10 (17.2%) patients, respectively. Immunophenotype analysis showed predominant non-GCB type of DLBCL (48/58, 82.8%) by Hans classification. No EBV infection was detected. Follow-up data were available in 48 (82.8%) patients. Twenty eight patients (58.3%) died of the disease. One-year, 3-year, and 5-year overall survivals were 55.7%, 31.6% and 27.6%, respectively. Age (older than 60 years), B-symptoms, high serum level of LDH, advanced Ann Arbor stage as well as lack of combination of therapy were associated with a poor prognosis.
CONCLUSIONSThis large series of testicular DLBCL mainly present with local disease at diagnosis. Most cases show non-GCB immunophenotype. Despite early clinical stage at presentation, the prognosis is poor. Combined chemotherapy postoperation may prolong survival of the patients.

7.Application of flow cytometric immunophenotypic analysis in the diagnosis of malignant lymphoma.

OBJECTIVETo explore the value of flow cytometric immunophenotyping (FCI) in the diagnosis and differentiated diagnosis of lymphoma and explain the immunophenotypic features and differences of malignant lymphoma.
METHODSSeventy four fresh samples of suspicious lymphoma were collected from Nov. 2004 to Aug. 2006. Each sample was individually evaluated by FCI. The results were analyzed and compared with the histopathological diagnosis.
RESULTSAmong the 74 cases, the FCI data consisted with the final morphological diagnosis in 61 cases (82.4%). For the diagnosis of B and T non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), thymoma, carcinoma and benign lesions of lymph node, the concordance between FCI data and morphological diagnosis were 93.5%, 100%, 100%, 100% and 81.3%, respectively.
CONCLUSIONMulti-parameter FCI analysis can provide important information and help for diagnosis of lymphoma. It is an assistant but necessary approach for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of lymphoma.

Objective To investigate the antibacterial molecular mechanism of Traditional Chinese Medicine Coptis rhizome against Yersinia pestis(Y.pestis).Methods The method based on whole genome DNA micrnarray of Y.pestis was used.The minimal inhibition concentration(MIC)of berberine to Y.pestis was determined with liquid dilution method.Then gene expression profile of Y.pestis was performed after exposed to berberine at the concentration of 10×MIC for 30 minutes.Total RNA extracted and purified from Y.pestis and reverse-transcribed to cDNA,then labeled by Cy-dye.Finally,the labeled probes were hybridized to the microarray and the results were obtained by a laser scanner and analyzed by the SAM software.Results The gene expression profile data revealed that the response of Y.pestis to berberine was a global phenomenon.A total of 360 genes changed significantly.Among them,333 genes were up-regulated,27 down-regulated.These differentially expressed genes were further classified into 24 different functional categories based on the genomie annotation of Y.pestis CO92,in which the number of mainly related genes were 83,75 and 48,including cell envelop,unkown,transport/binding proteins functions.The 40 genes related to the metabolism were upregulated,which was a remarkable change.Conclusion Our results have revealed the general gene expression changes of Y.pestis in response to berberine and demonstrated the antibacterial molecular mechanism of the Coptis rhizome.The major mechanism of Y.pestis in response to berberine is the upregulation of genes related to the metabolism.

Compared with traditional electrocardiograph machine, the machine is very convenient and comes into the home, ECG Machines is connected to mobile phones by Bluetooth, wireless upload, therefore we recommend to achieve remote monitoring and early warning and reduce sudden death, to achieve Internet medical by using Internet technology, people can be self-test. It is playing an increasingly important role and it is an inevitable machine to improve the success rate of diagnosis, monitoring and first aid.
