Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2014;(8):1137-1141
Aim Tostudytheeffectof4-phenlybuty-rate acid(4-PBA) on the heart function of diabetic rats and to explore its underlying mechanism. Methods MaleSprague-Dawley(SD)ratsweredividedintothree groups randomly: ( 1 ) control rats;( 2 ) diabetic rats;(3) 4-PBA treated diabetic rats. Type 1 diabetic mod-el was induced by single intraperitoneal injection of strepotozotocin (60 mg·kg-1 ) . After five weeks dia-betic model was established, diabetic rats were treated with 4-PBA by P. O at the dose of 1 g·kg-1 per day for 20 weeks. At the end of the experiment, hemody-namics of the left ventricle and main artery were detec-ted through right carotid artery cannulation in rats. The level of blood glucose, the activity of superoxide dis-mutase( SOD) and nitric oxide synthetase ( NOS) and the content of malondialdehyde ( MDA ) and nitric ox-ide( NO) of serum and myocardial tissue in rats were measuredbycolorimetry. Results Thetreatmentof4-PBA had no effect on blood glucose, the weight of body and heart, but slightly increased systolic and diastolic pressure of artery, heart rate, systolic pressure of left ventricular, maximum increase rate and minimum de-crease rate of left ventricular pressure( ± dp/dt) in di-abetic rats. It also slightly decreased diastolic pressure of left ventricular, shortened diastolic duration of left ventricular ( P > 0. 05 ) . Moreover, it significantly shortened relaxation time of left ventricular in diabetic rats (P<0. 05). In addition, the treatment of 4-PBA obviously enhanced the activity of SOD and NOS, NO content, and reduced the content of MDA in serum and heartofdiabeticrats(P<0.05).Conclusion 4-PBA has a potential protective effect on heart function in diabetic rats, which is achieved by ameliorating he-modynamics and significantly improving diastolic dys-function in diabetic rats. The underlying mechanism may be related to the inhibition of oxidative stress and promoting the genesis of NO in myocardial tissue.

China Pharmacy 2007;0(26):-
OBJECTIVE:To study pharmacokinetics of domestic and imported Phenazopyridine hydrochloride tables and bioavailability of domestic tablets, and to evaluate the bioequivalence of two kinds of tablets. METHODS: A randomized crossover design was performed in 18 healthy male volunteers. They received a single oral dose of domestic or imported tablets 200 mg. Plasma concentration of phenazopyridine hydrochloride was measured by HPLC. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by 3p97 software and relative bioavailability was evaluated. RESULTS: The plasma concentration-time curves of domestic and imported tablets conformed to one-compartment model. Main pharmacokinetic parameters of domestic tablets vs. imported tablets were as follows: t1/2Ke(3.52?2.03) h vs. (3.18?1.85)h; tmax(0.76?0.33) h vs. (0.79?0.43)h; Cmax(76.41?70.15) ng?mL-1 vs. (75.49?70.37) ng?mL-1; AUC0~8(159.10?116.32) ng?h?mL-1 vs. (164.65?129.89) ng?h?mL-1; AUC0~∞(237.12?115.06) ng?h?mL-1 vs. (262.69?155.05) ng?h?mL-1. The relative bioavailability of domestic tablets was (96.63?14.05)% compared with imported tablet. There was no significant difference between the pharmacokinetic parameters of two formulations by variance analysis, t-test and 1-2? confidence interval method. CONCLUSION: The domestic and imported tablets are bioequivalent.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(12):2378-2382
High price and poor stability of both crocin-1 and crocin-2 reference substance have become obstacles to HPLC assay of Croci Stigma. A new method based on reference extract was proposed. In this study, the reference extract was prepared from gardenia yellow which is cheap and easy to get The content of crocin-1 and crocin-2 in reference extract was determined and factors affecting stability of reference extract were investigated. Twelve batches of Croci Stigma were analyzed with reference extract and reference substance respectively. The results showed no difference. The presented method is feasible for quality control of Croci Stigma and reference extract is suitable to replace reference substances in assay.

Abstract: To report the diagnosis, treatment and outcome of 4 patients with hematological diseases complicated with Aeromonas hydrophila bloodstream infection in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, further clarify the importance of blood culture and deepen the clinical understanding of the disease. Four patients with hematological diseases complicated with Aeromonas hydrophila bloodstream infection treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from 2017 to 2021 were recruited as the study objects. The clinical manifestations, blood culture collection, detection time of Aeromonas hydrophila, laboratory examination, treatment and prognosis of the patients were retrospectively analyzed. In this study, 4 cases were male patients with hematological diseases, who were in myelosuppression after chemotherapy. After fever, blood culture was collected and Aeromonas hydrophila was detected. The positive time of blood culture in 4 cases ranged from 4 to 11 hours. The results of antibiotic sensitivity showed that it was highly sensitive to the second, third and fourth generation cephalosporins, quinolones and carbapenems. Four patients were treated with imipenem cilastatin sodium in the early stage, and one patient recovered after active anti infection and leukocyte raising treatment. One patient did not complete chemotherapy due to a request for discharged, and the follow-up was unknown. Two patients developed rapidly into necrotizing fasciitis and died later. Hematological diseases complicated with Aeromonas hydrophila bloodstream infection are rare, but the mortality rate is high. For patients with repeated fever and considering infection, blood culture should be carried out as soon as possible to confirm the pathogen and drug sensitivity test. During clinical treatment, the treatment should be adjusted in time in combination with the patient's situation. In addition to anti-infection treatment, the patient's immunity should be improved and the development of necrotizing fasciitis should be vigilant.
