AIM:To determine whether acellular porcine cornea stroma (APCS) could support the growth of the rabbit corneal cells in vitro.METHODS: APCS was prepared. The rabbit's corneal epithelium and stromal cells were cultured and seeded on, APCS in vitro.The observation of phase contrast photograph and histological examination were performed.RESULTS: Histological examination showed the epithe- lium grew on the scaffold of APCS in 2-3 layers at 10th day. The stromal cells adhered to the surface of the scaffold after 24 hours and invaded into the interlaminar of the material at 5th day.CONCLUSION: These results indicate that APCS can support the growth and proliferation of the corneal epithelium and stromal cells in vitro.

Objective - （ ） To explore the influence on the diagnosis of occupational noise induced deafness ONID using three ， Methods versions of diagnostic criteria in 2002 2007 and 2014. A total of 1 766 workers who asked for ONID diagnosis were selected as the research subjects using judgment sampling method. The results of pure tone audiometry were collected. GBZ 49-2002Diagnostic Criteria of Occupational Noise-inducedHearing Loss（ The ONID was diagnosed using hereinafter referred to as GBZ 49-2002），GBZ 49-2007Diagnostic Criteria of Occupational Noise-induced Deafness（ GBZ 49-2007） hereinafter referred to as GBZ 49-2014 Diagnostic of Occupational Noise-induced Deafness（ GBZ 49-2014）， and hereinafter referred to as and the Results - - ， - diagnostic results were compared. Compared with GBZ 49 2002 and GBZ 49 2007 diagnosis with GBZ 49 2014 had （ vs ， vs ， P ）， （ vs ， a higher rate of ONID 57.9% 66.0% 44.8% 66.0% both <0.01 and had a higher rate of mild ONID 47.3% 54.6% vs ， P ） - - 36.0% 54.6% both <0.01 . The diagnostic rate for ONID using GBZ 492014 was higher than those using GBZ 49 2002 and - （ P ）Conclusion - GBZ 49 2007 in each age groups all <0.01 . GBZ 49 2014 improved the diagnostic rate of ONID compared - - with GBZ 49 2002 and GBZ 49 2007. The reason is related to the inclusion of 4 000 Hz hearing threshold with a weight of 0.1 - as the diagnostic hearing threshold and the use of a new age and gender correction method in GBZ 49 2014.

Objective To study the effect of exogenous rhBMP-2(recombinant human bone morpho- genetic protein-2)on the expression of endogenous TGF-?1 during osteogenesis in rabbits.Methods After successfully duplicating experimental rabbit skull defect model,we detected and analyzed the expression of en- dogenous TGF-?1 of the pericranium in different stages by using immunohistochemieal method in both the ex- perimental group and the control group.Results In the experimental group a lot of mesenchymal cells with positive expression of endogenous TGF-?1 of the pericranium aggregated in duramater in the early stage after operation,and the expression level increased rapidly with the differentiation of mesenchymal cells,and reached the peak at 17,19 day postoperation.Positive cell number of TGF-?1 of pericranium was statistically analyzed in both groups at 7,15,21 days,showing significant difference(t-test,P＜0.01 ).Conclusion Exogenous rhBMP-2 can induce and enhance the expression of endogenous TGF-?1 during osteogenesis.

Objective To present a preliminary latest procedure for portal hypertension and evaluate the technical feasibility and efficacy of portacaval shunt creation through the percutaneous transhepatic approach in order to make a hemodynamic comparison with that of the classic TIPS.Methods Thirty-eight patients with portal hypertension(36 men;mean age 57 years,range 32～73)were referred for PTPS procedure because of bleeding varices(n=36),intractable ascites(n=1),and hepatopulmonary syndrome(n=1).The severity of liver disease was classified as Child-Pugh B in 27 and C in 11.The PTPS was created by a percutaneous transhepatic puncture into right portal vein and then through left portal vein to the hepatic segment of IVC followed by a prefabrication stress stent-graft placement at the very site.Results Technical and functional success of 100% was achieved in all patients,without related complications.The postprocedural portal vein-IVC gradients mean 13 cmH_2O was achieved with the follow-up period mean 493 days.No recurrence of variceal bleeding and controlled refractory ascites were achieved,and still more with primary patency rate of the involved vascular structure up to 94.8% at 365 days,much better than classic TIPS. Conclusions Portacaval shunt creation using the prefabrication stress stent via percutaneous transhepatic technique is safe and feasible.The compact coincidence was obtained between the stent and the involved vessel with restoration of intrahepatic portal venous bemodynamics together with partial lowering of portal venous pressure and guaranteeing intrahepatic perfusion through right portal vein.It is also obviously to have postoperative prevention of shunt restenoses and lowering postoperative incidence of hepato-encephalopathy.

Objective To perform an evaluation on psychological sub-health of officers and soldiers relieving in major earthquake on May 12th in Wenchuan and explore their rehabilitations.Methods The officers and soldiers relieving in major earthquake on May 12th in Wenchuan were tested by SCL-90. According to the survey results, we implemented corresponding measures of rehabilitation on them. After 10 and 20 days of rehabilitation, we carried out re-evaluation and analysis of the above assessment. Results The officers and soldiers relieving in major earthquake on May 12th in Wenchuan appeared varying degrees of somatization, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. Before psychological intervention, the incidence rate ofsomatization, anxiety and depression were 29.00％, 18.18％ and 10.82％, respectively; the incidence rates of psychological symptoms on the 10th d of psychological intervention (19.58％, 10.41％ and 5.41％) were significantly declined as compared with those before the intervention (x2=5.695, P=0.017; x2=5.630, P=0.018; x2=4.638, P=0.031); the incidenee rates of psychological symptoms on the 20th d of psychological intervention (4.01％, 2.81％ and 0.8％) were obviously decreased as compared with those before the intervention (x2=55.556, P=0.000; x2=30.509, P=0.000; x2=22.660, P=0.000). Conclusion Some of the officers and soldiers relieving in major earthquake on May 12th in Wenchuan may appear varying degrees of psychological problems. The promptly rehabilitation could reduce or eliminate the psychological sub-health state of these rescue workers.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the treatment and prevention of infection after alveolar crest onlay bone graft.

METHODSFrom January 2006 to May 2010, 11 infection cases after onlay graft on alveolar crest were reviewed to evaluate the infection time, clinical situation, treatment measure, and therapeutic effect.

RESULTSThe infection of all 11 cases occurred about 15 days after bone graft, which showed either soft tissue fistulae or bone graft exposure in the oral cavity. Three cases failed because of persistent infection. The infection of the other 8 cases was controlled after a series of comprehensive therapy, and most of the bone graft was reserved and implant restoration finally completed.

CONCLUSIONSAfter the effective and comprehensive therapy, infected bone graft can be reserved. But to ensure the survival rate of bone graft, the most important thing is to prevent infection in perioperative period.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical outcome of unilateral pedicle screw fixation plus single cage interbody fusion through spatium intermuscular of multifidus by Quadrant system.

METHODSFrom April 2008 to April 2009, 47 patients underwent unilateral pedicle screw fixation plus single cage interbody fusion through spatium intermuscular of multifidus. There were 22 males and 25 females with the mean age of 58.2 years (range, 46-74 years). Among them 12 cases had far-lateral lumbar disc herniation, 7 cases had post-discectomy recurrence, and 28 cases had degenerative instability. Thirty-seven cases were treated with lumbar interbody fusion through transforaminal approach, 10 cases through posterior approach. After surgery, the radiography was carried out to demonstrate the fusion status, and the Nakai criterion was used for assessment.

RESULTSThe average skin incision length was 3.2 cm (range, 3.0 to 3.5 cm), the average operative time was 90 min (range, 70 to 160 min), and the average blood loss was 130 ml (range, 90 to 360 ml). All cases were followed up for 8 - 20 months (average 13.6 months). Postoperative radiography showed no evidence of instrument failure, and 43 cases got bone fusion, 4 cases got suspicious fusion. At final followed-up the average leg pain VAS decreased from 7.4 ± 1.1 preoperatively to 2.4 ± 1.3 postoperatively, the average low back pain VAS decreased from 6.7 ± 1.3 preoperatively to 1.8 ± 1.5 postoperatively. According to Nakai criterion, 31 cases were rated as excellent, 11 cases as good, and 5 cases as fair with the total excellent and good rate of 89.4%.

CONCLUSIONSUnilateral pedicle screw fixation plus single cage interbody fusion through spatium intermuscular of multifidus has some advantages of minimal invasiveness, less blood loss, less complications and reliable curative effect. It is a satisfactory lumbar fusion method under suitable indication.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the use of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with self-locking cages to treat multi-segmental cervical myelopathy.

METHODSFrom April 2008 to March 2010, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with self-locking cages were performed on 45 patients who suffered from multi-segmental cervical myelopathy, among of them there were 23 male and 22 female, aged from 32 to 67 years (average 53 years). Recording the Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) scores and SF-36 scores in the protocol time point, in order to investigate the clinical outcome, meanwhile, accumulating the pre-operation and postoperation X-ray films of cervical spine for measuring the height of intervertebral space, whole curvature of cervical spine and the rate of fusion by repeated measures analysis of variance.

RESULTSThe mean follow-up time was 28.4 months (24 - 35 months). JOA scores ascended from preoperative 6.5 ± 3.1 to postoperative 13.4 ± 1.7 (F = 17.84, P = 0.001), the 7 scores of SF-36 improved significantly after operation (t = 1.151 - 12.207, P < 0.05), but mental health not. The fineness rate was 91.1%. Height of disc space ascended from preoperative (5.5 ± 1.8) mm to postoperative (8.3 ± 0.8) mm (F = 11.71, P = 0.043), globle curvature of cervical spine ascended from preoperative 5° ± 7° to postoperative 10° ± 14° (F = 234.53, P = 0.000), the change of the two index was significantly, respectively. Fat necrosis in one case and hematoma in another case at the bone donor-site were found, both of the two cases were cured by physiotherapy. All of the 45 cases (111 segments) achieved bone fusion.

CONCLUSIONThe use of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with self-locking cages to treat multi-segmental cervical myelopathy possess many advantages as follows: satisfactory clinical outcome, minimally invasive, higher fusion rate, higher orthopaedic ability.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the first and second assay kits currently used in blood centers for screening HCV infected blood, and to provide basis for a better match of the two assay kits.

METHODSUsing the newly developed multi-recombinant-HCV-antigen supplementary assay kit, the authors evaluated concurrently the specificity and sensitivity of two domestic and one imported anti-HCV detection kits.

RESULTSDiscrepancy in specificity and sensitivity existed among the two domestic HCV kits, and overall quality was slightly below that of leading or main stream imported HCV kit.

CONCLUSIONThe newly developed multi-recombinant-HCV-antigen supplementary assay kit is useful in the evaluation of HCV antibody detection kit currently in use. It provides qualified assessing kit to capture antibodies against various HCV antigens. The present paper provided guidance for selecting a better match of the two screening kits and improved screening efficiency.

Objective To evaluate of velocity vector imaging technology in methadone maintenance treatment patients. Methods From June to December in 2011,78 cases of heroin addicts were selected as observation group,and 78 healthy persons who received physical examination at the same period were selected as the control group.Velocity vector imaging technology was measured for both groups.Results All of early diastolic peak velocity and early diastolic max strain rate of the basement,left ventricular interval before,left ventricular apex,left ventricular wall between basement,in the left ventricular wall,the left ventricular segmental wall apex in observation group were significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05).Conclusion The velocity vector imaging technology could be applied to evaluate left ventricular function among methadone maintenance treatment patients.
