Objective To detect P0.1 and respiratory function of patients with cerebral infarction(CI)and analyze the effect of cerebral infarction on respiratory function. Methods Arterial blood gases, respiratory drive and lung function were measured in 35 cases with CI and 15 healthy controls. The figures were analyzed by SPSS 10.0. Results The PaO0.2 (mm Hg, 75.80±4.12, 1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa), SaO2(%,94.97±0.78) and Plmax(kPa,4.076±2.443) were lower than those in the healthy control group (88.68±3.77, 96.40±0.48 and 7.747±0.599,t=-8.310,-5.731,-5.439,all P=0.000). P0.1 max and P0.1/MV in the CI group were lower than those in the healthy control group;the P0.1 did not have significant difference in these two group; the P0.1/P0.1max and P0.1/Plmax in the CI group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group; the PImax was correlated with PO2, O2sat, P(A-a) O2, P0.1max, P0.1, P0.1,/PImax, P0.1/P0.1max, FVC, FEV1.0 and PEF; the PEmax was correlated with P0.1/ PImax, FVC, FEV1.0 and PEF. Conclusion The respiratory function of patients with CI has been impaired, the oxygenated index is cut down and the respiratory drive and respiratory drive store are decreased.

Objective To evaluate the effect of exercise on the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and health-related quality of life (HRQOL).Methods A total of 1 114 participants were recruited from the Physical Examination Center of two hospitals.SF-36 was used to measure HRQOL,and the classification of sports level was done according to the subjective evaluation of participants. Results The total score of HRQOL,physical component summary and mental component summary were 76.26± 16.10,75.97 ± 16.67 and 76.55± 18.33 respectively. The results of correlation analysis were as following:the positive correlation between BMI and general health (r=0.109),vitality (r=0.116),social functioning (r=0.092),role emotional (r=0.122),mental health (r =0.145) were significant (P< 0.01).The negative correlation between BMI and PF(r=-0.07,P=0.019)was significant. The mediation effects of exercise in was relationship between BMI and general health, vitality, mental health were significant, and the mediating effect were 5.84%,9.14% and 6.58%.Conclusion This study demonstrates that mediation effects of the exercise are significant in some dimensions of HRQOL,but the direct influence of BMI on the HRQOL plays a leading role. And BMI is a protective factor under certain conditions.

Microbiology 2008;0(07):-
A strain of Cellulosimicrobium cellulans Ha8 was studied on its morphological, biological characteristics and its utilization of several kinds of benzoic compounds, the results showed this strain was Gram-positive, the long rod-shaped cells were changed into short rod-shape gradually. pH value from pH 6.0 to pH 9.0 and the temperature from 20 ℃ to 40 ℃ were good for its growth. It could not only hydrolyze protein and starch, use cellulose and pectin, decomposite chitin, liquify gelatin and fix nitrogen, but also use phenol, xylene, benzoic, cinnamic acids and diphenlamine as the sole carbon resource for its growth. It could tolerate 0 mmol/L~30 mmol/L, 0 mmol/L~8 mmol/L, 0 mmol/L~30 mmol/L, 0 mmol/L~15 mmol/L and 0 mmol/L ~ 40 mmol/L of benzoic acids, phenol, xylene, cinnamic acids and diphenlamine seperately, but could not use 2,4-dinitrophenol, o-Nitrophenol, 2-Methoxyphenol, aminobenzenesulfonic acid, catechol and o-Phenanthroline as its sole carbon resource.

Objective To discuss MRI characteristics of dysplastic gangliocytoma of the cerebellum. Methods MRI manifesta-tions of 13 cases with dysplastic gangliocytoma of the cerebellum verified by operation and pathology were analyzed retrospectively. Results All of 13 cases were located in the cerebellar hemisphere and vermis. The lesions presented striated pattern of iso-intensity signal and hypo-intensity signal on T1-weighted images. The sign of tiger stripes was the feature in dysplastic gangliocytoma on T2-weighted and FLAIR images. All of the tumors showed slightly striated enhancement after intravenous administration of contrast agent. The mass effects of dysplastic gangliocytoma of the cerebellum along with the forth ventricle and brain stem oppressed were seen in all cases.NAA was mildly reduced on magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS)in 7 cases of dysplastic gangliocytoma of the cerebellum. Conclusion There are distinctive manifestations in MRI images for dysplastic gangliocytoma of the cerebellum, which has crucial diagnostic value before operation.

Objectives To evaluate the effect of control measures and provide the basis for development of preventive measures though dynamical monitoring of the operation of water improvement projects and know The prevalent trends of endemic fluorosis. Methods In accordance with the provisions and requirements of the Surveillance Scheme of Drinking-Water-Borne Endemic Fluorosis(Trial),136 monitoring counties were selected in national 27 provinces(autonomous regions, municipalities) and Xin Jiang Production and Construction Corps, and 10 water improvement projects were selected in each county. The operation of water improvement projects was investigated, and water fluoride content was tested.Three epidemic villages were selected as fixed monitoring villages in each county. In the villages, the fluoride content in drinking water was detected by Standard Testing Method of Drinking Water.Dental fluorosis was diagnosed by Dean's method of all 8 to 12-year-old students in the villages.Stratified random sampling by age was used to select 50 adults over 25-year-old in each monitoring village, and skeletal fluorosis was examined by X-ray according to the Diagnosis Standard of Endemic Skeletal Fluorosis. Results ①A total of 1398 water improvement projects were monitored.Normal and intermittent operation and discarded projects accounted for 93.35%(1305/1398),5.29%(74/1398) and 1.36%(19/1398),respectively.The qualification rate of water fluoride content was 69.96% (978/1398).② In the 327 surveyed villages with water improvement projects, the qualification rate of water fluoride content of the projects accounted for 76.15%(249/327).In the 84 surveyed villages without water improvement projects, villages of water fluoride > 1.2 mg/L and ≤2.0 mg/L,> 2.0 mg/L,and ≤4.0 mg/L,and > 4.0 mg/L,accounted for 57.14% (48/84),32.14%(27/84) and 10.71%(9/84),respectively.③ In the 195 villages with water improvement projects and the projects were in normal operation with qualified water, the detection rate of dental fluorosis and the defect type of dental fluorosis in children were 25.03% (3851/15 387) and 1.88% (289/15 387),respectively,and for the 82 villages with fluoride content exceeded the national standard, the two rates were 56.27% (3384/6014) and 10.92%(657/6014),respectively.④ In the 195 villages with water improvement projects and the projects were in normal operation with qualified water, the detection rate of X-ray skeletal fluorosis was 19.11% (1465/7667).In the 79 villages with fluoride content exceeded the national standard, the detection rate of X-ray skeletal fluorosis was 17.47% (634/3630).Conclusions The operation of water improvement projects and water quality need to be further improved, and the measure of changing water plays a certain role in control of drinking-water-borne endemic fluorosis, which needs a long-term consolidation.
