1.Effect of Danhong injection on serum levels of bone markers and healing time in postoperative patients with tibial fractures
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;35(10):41-43
Objective To analyse effect of Danhong injection on serum levels of bone markers and healing time in postoperative patients with tibial fractures. Methods 52 patients who were diagnosed with tibial fractures in our hospital were collected and randomly divided into control group and experimental group. All patients were treated with intramedullary nailing. After the operation, on the basis of routine treatment, patients in control group were treated with ossotide injection 50 mg, dissolved in 250 mL 0.9% sodium chloride solution, one times per day.Patients in experimental group was treated with Danhong injection 20 mL, dissolved in 250 mL 0.9% sodium chloride solution, one times per day.14 days for one period of treatment, two groups were treated for two cycles. After the treatment, the serum levels of bone Gla-protein (BGP), carboxyterminal propeptide of typeⅠprocollagen (PICP), bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP) and the racture healing time were detected in all patients. Results Compared with control group post-treatment, the serum BGP and PICP levels were higher in experimental group (P<0.05);the serum BALP level was higher in experimental group (P<0.05); the average fracture healing time of the patients in experimental group was shorter (P<0.05).Conclusion Danhong injection can significantly increase the serum BGP, PICP and BALP level in postoperative patients with tibial fractures, shorten fracture healing time.

Objective To investigate the clinical features of the childhood chronic myelogenous leukemia (CCML), including the pathogenesis, incidence, clinical characteristics, diagnostic criterion, prognostic significance and the treatment strategies, etc. Method The data of 148 cases of CCML were comprehensively reviewed and analyzed, and international and domestic literature in the last two decades was reviewed. Results The CCML was found to be rare with unknown etiology, and was an acquired malignant disease of clonal proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells in children. The disease included two clinical types: adult CCML and juvenile CCML. 72.3% of CCML patients were diagnosed as the adult CCML. The clinical feature of CCML consisted of fatigue, low fever, anemia, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, and lymphadenopathy. The laboratory findings of a typical CCML patient comprised of peripheral blood leukocytosis, basophilia and eosinophilia, myeloid differentiation in different stages, and increased megakaryocytes. The immunohistochemical features of the CCML consisted of highly positive MPO and CD68, significant lowering of neutrophil alkaline phosphatase (NAP), positive for Philadelphia chromosome (Ph) or chimeric BCR/ABL gene, etc. But in most cases of juvenile CCML, the Philadelphia chromosome could not be detected. The Gleevec therapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) might give better treatment result for CCML than the traditional therapy. Conclusions CCML has its characteristic clinical feature. The key of good therapeutic result is early diagnosis and treatment. The optimal therapy for CCML is Gleevec regime and HSCT.

Thanks to the communication between hospital information systems and the mobile phone system, the doctor in charge can contact his/her patient by mobile phone. This creates an early warning mechanism for critical results of laboratory tests such as clinical laboratory, radiological, ultrasound and ECC tests,in which the doctor in charge can be advised immediately of any critical results found in laboratory tests by SMS.This mechanism enables clinicians to acquire critical information, identify medical risks and minimize medical errors.

Sulfur fumigation was a traditional maintenance method for traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs). However , as people have paid more and more attentions on the sulfur dioxide residue in the sulfur fumigated TCMs , China has gradually decreased and banned the sulfur fumigation for TCMs . This study adopted organic elemental analysis for the determination of sulfur contents in multiple TCMs . Elemental analysis can give accu-rate results with little sample amount in a short time . Data analysis indicated that the sulfur content of 0.5% can be set as a criterion for the identification of sulfur fumigated TCMs. Sulfur content of ten unknown TCMs were determined by elemental analysis and identified whether the TCMs have been fumigated by sulfur. The devel-oped elemental analysis method can be used as a screening method for rapid identification of TCMs' quality.

OBJECTIVE:To detect and analyze the safety signals of pemetrexed in post-marketing,and provide references for rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS:A form of data mining techniques was used to detect the safety signals of pemetrexed in American adverse events reporting system and the analysis of signal effect factors i.e.,gender,age,dosage and indication was per-formed by SPSS 19.0. RESULTS:173 signals related to pemetrexed were excavated in 5 397 235 reports, and the number of report-ed adverse event in blood-lymphatic system was the most(491)and the number of signals in gastrointestinal system was the most (17). There was no statistical significance in the distribution of blood-lymphatic system and gastrointestinal system in gender(P=0.075) and age (P=0.726) compared to other system adverse event, but there was statistical significance in dosage (P=0.007) and indication(P=0.001). CONCLUSIONS:Adverse events induced by pemetrexed in blood-lymphatic system and gastrointestinal system should be monitored at the same time, especially combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
