OBJECTIVE:
Understand the main types and characteristics of inhaled allergens in allergic rhinitis patients in Urumqi, Xinjiang, and provide theoretical basis for diagnosis, treatment, prevention of local allergic rhinitis and epidemiological investigation.
METHOD:
Inhaled allergen detecting on suspected patients with allergic rhinitis in clinic by the allergopharma skin prick test. Group the skin prick test positive patients of 340 samples according to their nationality, age and gender, then compare the inhaled allergen differences between them.
RESULT:
The total positive rate with allergic rhinitis prick test in 340 cases is 94.7%, of which the highest proportion is Artemisia (66.2%), followed by Chenopodium album (51.2%), poplar (42.6%), Ulmus (40.9%), Liu (33.8%), Timothy (27.6%), dust mite (21.2%), house dust mite (17.9%), ragweed (15.9%), dog (11.2%), cat (10.6%), cockroach (8.5%), Alternaria (5.6%) and Candida albicans (3.5%). The sensitivity of poplar, willow, Timothy and Alternaria of the minority group is higher than the Han group (P<0.05). The allergen positive rate difference among different age group has statistical significance (Χ2=59.076, P<0.01).
CONCLUSION
Artemisia, Chenopodiaceae, poplar and elm are the main allergens in Urumqi area. There is a difference in allergen sensitivity between Minority and Han nationality patients. There is no statistical significance on inhaled allergen positive rate between different genders. Specific allergens can provide basis for the prevention and control of allergic diseases in Urumqi area.

Objective:To study the drug distribution in the local tissues and lymph nodes treated with targeting and continuous interstitial chemotherapy for the oral squamous cell carcinoma before operation. Methods:8 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma were treated by implanting the sustain-released cisplatin around and into the primary lesion. Drug distribution in tissue were studied by the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Results:The drug concentration in the center of the tumor,1 cm and 2 cm from the tumor fringe were (34.877 1?15.720 8),(20.690 0 ?15.688 6) and (6.635 7?3.862 3) ?g/g, respectively. The drug concentration within lymph nodes of the sub-mental and submandibular area, deep cervical lymph nodes for the upper, middle and lower were(2.991 4?3.055 7),(4.026 0 ?3.692 0), (7.192 0 ? 8.958 7) and (5.028 5?3.484 3)?g/g, respectively. Conclusion:Targeting and continuous interstitial chemotherapy for the oral squamous cell carcinoma by implanting sustain-released cisplatin can increase drug concentration in the local tissues and the lymph nodes, to attain good efficacy of targeting chemotherapy.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of combined pegylated liposomaldoxorubicin (PLD) and carboplatin in the treatment of patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods We retrospectively reviewed 67 patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer or primaryperitoneal adenocarcinoma (8 eases) who were treated with combined PLD and earboplatin. The responserate, survival and toxicity were evaluated. The mean age for 67 patients was 52.1 (39-76) years. All ofthem received eytoreductive surgery followed by platinum-based chemotherapy either with paclitaxel orcyclophosphamide and doxorubicin after diagnosis. Combined PLD and carboplatin was used as first orsecond-line treatment or even after multiple lines of treatment after disease recurred. Patients were treatedwith PLD at 35-40 mg/m2combined with carboplatin at an area under curve ( AUC ) of 5 once every 4weeks. Results Forty-nine. Patients were evaluable for response. Twenty-three (47%) patients had acomplete response, 13 (27%) had a partial response, 3 (6%) had stable disease and 10 (20%) hadprogressive disease. The estimated median progression-free survival (PFS) was 8 months. The 1-year and 2-year survival rates were 73% and 55%, respectively. All of the 67 patients were evaluated for toxicity. Thetreatment was terminated in 2 patients due to allergic-like infusion reaction. Four patients who had acuteinfusion reaction with shortness of breath and tightness of chest did not terminate the treatment because nosuch reaction occurred when restarted the infusion. There were 2 patients with G2and 3 patients with G3hand-foot syndrome, 2 patients had G4stomatitis, and 8 patients had G3leukopeni,, No G4leukopenia orcardiotoxicity eceurred. Conclusion The combination of PLD and carboplatin is an active and wellotolerated regimen in the treatment of patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer.
