Objective To investigate the relationship between levels of homocysteine ( Hcy ) and serum uric acid( UA) and stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaque in young patients with cerebral infarction .Methods 150 cases of cerebral infarction in young patients carried the carotid ultrasonography were divided into the non -plaque group ( n=37),stable plaque group(n=52) and unstable plaque group(n=61) according to the results. The levels of Hcy and UA in the three groups of patients were detected and analyzed statistically .Results The stable plaque group′s Hcy and UA levels were (15.92 ±2.52)μmol/L and (294.85 ±25.52)μmol/L,which were significantly higher than those of the non-plaque group(t=7.33,6.89,all P<0.05);The unstable plaque group′s Hcy and UA levels were (23.17 ±3.82 )μmol/L and ( 388.57 ±26.61 )μmol/L, which were significantly higher than those of the the non-plaque group and stable plaque group(t=9.82,10.02,6.90,7.12,all P<0.05).Conclusion There is a close correlation between the stability of carotid artery plaque and the levels of Hcy and UA .
2.Progress in the study of BLyS and APRIL on regulating T cell responses in rheumatoid arthritis.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(7):979-85
B lymphocyte stimulator (BLyS), a tumor neurosis factor ligand superfamily, is an important factor of B cell survival and activation. However, BLyS also regulates T cell activation and survival, playing key roles in T cell-mediated autoimmune disorders. In the paper, we introduced the mechanisms of BLyS and a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL) regulating T cell responses and their roles in rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2021;44(4):342-347
Objective:To investigate the expression of serum galectin-3 (Gal-3), cystatin-C (Cys-C) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in elderly patients with hypertension and analyze their correlation with left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH).Methods:A total of over 65 years old 110 patients with essential hypertension in Tieling Central Hospital from July 2018 to May 2019 were selected as hypertension group, according to the LVH, patients with essential hypertension were divided into (non LVH group, 66 patients) and LVH group (44 patients). At the same time, a total of 110 healthy people in the same period were selected as control group. The expressions of serum Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-1 in each group were compared, and the correlation between left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and Gal-3, Cys-C in patients with essential hypertension were analyzed. Results:The levels of Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-3 in the hypertension group were higher than those in the control group: (132.28 ± 38.18) μg/L vs. (110.60 ± 17.51) μg/L, (1.19 ± 0.12) mg/L vs. (0.81 ± 0.06) mg/L, (21.28 ± 0.72) ng/L vs. (16.50 ± 0.68) ng/L, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The levels of Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-1 in the LVH group were significantly higher than those in the non LVH group: (159.75 ± 36.37) μg/L vs. (113.96 ± 26.79) μg/L, (1.24 ±) mg/L vs.(1.16 ± 0.08) mg/L, (21.84 ± 0.71) ng/L vs.(20.90 ± 0.41) ng/L, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that LVMI was positively correlated with Gal-3( r=0.650, P<0.01), Cys-C( r=0.659, P<0.01) and ET-1( r=0.858, P<0.01). The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of Gal-3 in diagnosing hypertensive LVH was 0.821, 95% CI 0.743-0.899, the cutoff value was 148.55 μg/L, and the sensitivity and specificity were 59.10% and 89.40%. The AUC of Cys-C in diagnosing hypertensive LVH was 0.672, 95% CI 0.558-0.786, the cutoff value was 1.320 mg/L, and the sensitivity and specificity were 43.20% and 98.50%. The AUC of ET-1 in diagnosing hypertensive LVH was 0.876, 95% CI 0.811-0.941, the cutoff value was 22.275 ng/L, and the sensitivity and specificity were 65.90% and 95.50%. The AUC of combined detection was 0.948, 95% CI 0.855-0.976, and the sensitivity and specificity were 84.10%, 98.50%. Conclusions:The serum levels of Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-1 in elderly patients with hypertension are significantly increased, and there are a good correlation between them and LVH, and combined detection can be used as a sensitive index for the diagnosis of hypertensive LVH.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the change in drug resistance of Staphylococcus aureus (SAU) in the PLA general hospital from January 2008 to December 2012, and to provide solid evidence to support the rational use of antibiotics for clinical applications.
METHODSThe SAU strains isolated from clinical samples in the hospital were collected and subjected to the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion test. The results were assessed based on the 2002 American National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) guidelines.
RESULTSSAU strains were mainly isolated from sputum, urine, blood and wound excreta and distributed in penology, neurology wards, orthopedics and surgery ICU wards. Except for glycopeptide drugs, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) had a higher drug resistance rate than those of the other drugs and had significantly more resistance than methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) (P < 0.05). In the dynamic observation of drug resistance, we discovered a gradual increase in drug resistance to fourteen test drugs during the last five years.
CONCLUSIONDrug resistance rate of SAU stayed at a higher level over the last five years; moreover, the detection ratio of MRSA keeps rising year by year. It is crucial for physicians to use antibiotics rationally and monitor the change in drug resistance in a dynamic way.

ObjectiveTo explore the association of smoking to the Aspirin and Clopidogrel antiplatelet in patients with stable angina after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods241 smoking patients and 252 non-smoking patients underwent PCI for stable coronary artery disease, all patients had taken aspirin 100 mg/d for 7 d or more. The arachidonic acid (AA)- and adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet aggregation were tested as they got in hospital. Then, they accepted Clopidogrel 300 mg as loading dose, continued with 75 mg/d for 3 d. The ADP-induced platelet aggregation were re-tested. ResultsThe incidence of aspirin resistance (AR) and aspirin semiresponder (ASR) was 19.1% in all the cases, and was 25.5% in smoking group, 14.3% in non-smoking group (P=0.027). Age (OR=3.79,95%CI: 1.77~8.12) and smoking (OR=1.98,95%CI: 1.18~4.43) were the independent risk factors of AR and ASR. The incidence of Clopidogrel resistance was 19.5% in all the cases, and was 13.2% in smoking group, 24.3% in non-smoking group (P=0.03). Smoking (OR=0.22,95%CI: 0.09~0.54) may reduce the risk of Clopidogrel resistance. ConclusionSmoking increased the risk of AR and ASR, but reduced the risk of Clopidogrel resistance.

9.Research Progress on Mitochondria-Located Thioredoxin
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1986;0(02):-
The thioredoxin system consists of thioredoxin(Trx),thioredoxin reductase(TrxR)and reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleo-tide phosphate.Trx is a small redox-active multifunctional protein.Thioredoxin 2,which is localized in the matrix mitochondria, has been shown involved in not only oxidative stress, nucleic acid metabolism, cell grow and apoptosis, but also many diseases such as organism growth and development, oxidative stress damage, cancer and ischemical reperfusion injury. It participates in redox reactions by reversible oxidation of its active center dithiol to disulfide and catalyzes dithio-disulfide exchange reactions involving many thiol-dependent processes. As signaling molecule,Trx2 participates in many signaling pathways.
