Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety ofGuipi Decoction vs. antidepressants for depression. Methods Articles about the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) ofGuipi Decoction for depression were searched in the databases of CNKI, VIP, Wanfang Data, CMB, Embase, PubMed, and Cochrane Library. Two researchers independently screened the articles, extracted the data, and evaluated the methodological quality. Meta-analyses were performed by using RevMan 5.2 software.Results A total of 9 RCTs articles involving 893 cases were included. Meta-analysis results suggested that as compared with antidepressants only,Guipi Decoction together with antidepressants was associated with a significantly greater reduction in HAMD scores (MD=-4.63, 95%CI [-5.95, -3.32];P<0.001). There was no significant difference in HAMD scores betweenGuipi Decoction used alone and antidepressants (MD=-0.30, 95%CI [-4.22, 3.62];P=0.88). As compared with antidepressants,Guipi Decoction together with antidepressants increased in the rates of total effective events (RR=1.26, 95%CI [1.14, 1.38];P<0.001). No serious adverse reactions were reported. Meta-analysis results suggested that the incidence of adverse reactions of Guipi Decoction(RR=0.48, 95%CI [0.40, 0.58];P<0.001) andGuipi Decoction together with antidepressants (RR=0.51, 95%CI [0.30, 0.85];P=0.010) were lower than that of antidepressants alone.Conclusion The present evidence suggests thatGuipi Decoction is effective and relatively safe for patients with depression. However, because the quality of included research was low, more large-scale RCTs with multicenter and high quality are needed for further verification.

Objective To investigate the incidence of heterotopic ossification in cervical artificial disc replacement in Chinese mainland population by meta-analysis.Methods The related literatures published between 1997 and June 2012 were collected from both English databases,including Pubmed,Ovid,Cochrane library and Embase,and Chinese databases including Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP database and Wanfang database.Literatures were selected in strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Studies providing data of prevalence of heterotopic ossification after cervical artificial disc replacement in Chinese mainland population were included.The information of literatures was extracted by excerpts questionnaire,and recorded by two independent researchers.I2 was calculated to test heterogeneity among studies.A random effects model was used if I2 ≥25％.Subgroup analysis was done according to the number of levels of disc replacement,brands of implants and duration of follow-up.Sensitivity analysis was done according to the sample size.The Meta-Analyst software was used for statistical analysis.Results A total of forty studies (1822 cases) were included in this study.The pooled incidence of heterotopic ossification was 7.3％ (95％CI:4.7％ to 11.0％).For single and mixed level disc replacement,the incidence was 11.6％ and 5.8％,respectively.For single and mixed level disc replacement using Bryan disc,the incidence was 13.8％ and 5.4％,respectively,and the total incidence was 7.2％.No matter the single or mixed level disc replacement,the incidence of heterotopic ossification increased with follow-up.Conclusion The incidence of heterotopic ossification in cervical artificial disc replacement is high in Chinese mainland population,while it is lower than in foreigners.However,it is necessary to monitor its long-term incidence due to its increase with follow-up.

Objective:To study the effectiveness of inferior pole fracture of patella treating by the new tension band.Methods:From Dec.2011 to Dec.2013, 21 patients with inferior pole fracture of patella were treated with the new tension band which consisted of cannulated screw, titanium cable and shims. There were 21 patients[10 males, 11 females, the average age was 54 years(21 to 79)],of whom,all were“fell on knees”.Results:The average operation time was 89 min (57-197 min),the follow-up visits were done from 7-31 months ( average 18 months) , the bone healing time was from 8-12 weeks (average 10.5 weeks).The post operation assessment was done by Bostman score, from 20 -30 (average 27),10 excellent,and 11 good.No complication occurred.Conclusion:The new tension band is the effective treatment for inferior pole fracture of patella.The internal fixation is reliable, it is simple to operate, and patients can take exercises as early as possible.Therefore, the new tension band has a bet-ter clinical value.

Objective:To evaluate the rate of basicervical fractures and document their diagnosis and treatment.Methods: From January 2005 to May 2016,28 basicervical fractures of the 832 trochanteric fractures were collected and evaluated.The patients were treated with multiple screws,dynamic hip screw (DHS),intramedullary nail.Via the operation time,postoperative hospitalization,loss of blood duration the operation,hidden blood loss,total blood loss,mean union time and the final follow-up Harris hip score,the characteristics of different internal fixations were compared and analyzed.Results: The incidence of basicervical fractures was 3.37％ (28/832) in our study.In the intramedullary nail group (16 patients),the operation time was 55 (20,120) min,the postoperative hospitalization was 3(2,7) d,the intraoperative blood loss was 50(5,100) mL,the hidden blood loss was 533.37 (376.19,987.15) mL,and the total blood loss 627.35 (406.19,1037.16) mL.The union time and final follow-up Harris score were 6 (3,9) months and 90.25 (74,100) min.In the DHS group (8 patients),the operation time was 87.5 (65,115) min,the postoperative hospitalization was 5.5 (2,17) d,the intraoperative blood loss was 100 (50,300) mL,the hidden blood loss was 278.11 (202.43,849.97) mL,and the total blood loss 580.19 (368.55,899.97) mL.The union time and final follow-up Harris score were 5.5 (4,12) months and 85.5 (84,87) min.In the multiple screws group (4 patients),the operation time was 47.5 (35,75) min,the postoperative hospitalization was 5 (2,12) d,the intraope-rative blood loss was 20 (2,70) mL,the hidden blood loss was 150 (100.00,412.01) mL,and the total blood loss 195.00 (120.00,414.01) mL.The union time and final follow-up Harris score were 4 (4,6) months and 80 (61,97) min.The patients treated with multiple screws and intramedullary nail had a shorter operation time than the DNS group,but no obvious difference was found between the other two groups (P=0.367).Postoperative hospitalization had no significant difference among the three groups.The intraoperative bleeding was more in the DHS group,the other two groups had no significant difference (P=0.100).However,the hidden blood loss was more in the intramedullary nail group,the other two groups had no significant difference (P=0.134).The total blood loss in the intramedullary nail group was more than multiple screw group,similar to the DHS group (P=0.483).One patient treated with multiple screws underwent internal fixation failure three months after operation.The mean union time and final follow-up Harris scores had no significant difference among the three groups (P>0.05).Conclusion: Through this study,we found that the incidence of basicervical fractures is low.Fractures with no shift can be confirmed by preoperative X-ray.For displaced fractures,preoperative CT + 3D reconstruction is recommended.Surgical treatment by closed reduction and internal fixation with DHS or intramedullary nail is shown to be very effective.

Objective To establish a quick,economical and reproducible method for high-quality RNA extraction from pancreas.Methods We utilized TRIzol Reagent and liquid nitrogen to isolate total RNA from the rat pancreas.The RNA quality was determined by detection of its content and optic density(A) at 260/280nm,and electrophoresis in 1% non-denatured agarose gel.Then reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was performed to detect expression of the pancreas-specific genes.Results The content of the total RNA extracted from the rat pancreas reached 3-6?g/mg pancreatic tissues,and A260/280 ratio was 1.75-1.89.Electrophoresis of the total RNA showed 28S and 18S rRNA bands with clear smear between them.The RT-PCR products of pancreas-specific genes including insulin 1,glucagon,?-amylase and housekeeping gene ?-actin all exhibited clear bands on 1% agarose gel,which were located in the expected positions,respectively.Conclusion These results suggest that we have successfully isolated the high-quality and intact RNA from the rat pancreas with TRIzol Reagent and liquid nitrogen.The extracted total RNA can be used in RT-PCR for pancreatic gene expression.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of incomplete Kawasaki disease(KD).Methods Clinical data includi-ng test results,therapeutic methods were analyzed retrospectively in 579 patients with Kawasaki disease.They were divided into classic KD and incomplete KD and made a compared analysis.Results There were no significant differences in gender,age,symptom and laboratory examination between classic and incomplete KD.But the rate of coronary artery lesions was higher in incomplete KD(18.4%) than that of classic KD(11%).Conclusion The rate of coronary artery lesions was higher in incomplete KD,and it should be paid more attention to earlier diagnosis and earlier treatment.

Objective To study the bioequivalence of domestic and im-ported cefiibuten tablets in healthy volunteers.Methods A single oral doses of 400 mg ceflibuten was given to 22 healthy volunteers in an open randomized crossover design.The concentrations of ceftibuten in plasma were determined by a HPLC method.The pharmacokinetic parameters of domestic and imported were calculated by 3 P97 software.Results The main phannacokinetic parameters of domestic and imported were as follow:t_(max) were(2.18±0.97)and(2.43±0.81)h;C_(max) were(18.58±2.70)and(18.95±4.38)μg·mL~(-1);t_(1/2) were(2.41±0.86)and (2.36±0.70)h;AUC_(0-t) were(95.76±14.54)and(96.14±18.87)μg·h·mL~(-1),respectively.The relative bioavailability of ceftibuten was(101.77±17.72)%.Conclusion The results demonstrated that the two preparations of cefiibuten were bioequivalent.

Objective To explore the influence of multi- level training on study demand and autonomous learning among nursers, so as to improve nursing normalized training procedure and speed up cultivation of nurses. Methods 146 nurses were sampled and were trained according to normalized training procedure among multi-level nursers, all were trained 1 year, study demand and autonomous learning abilities were investigated before and after training. Results The study demand among different level nurses was significant difference before and after training in terms of holistic nursing, nursing safety education, continuing education, health education, humanities in nursing, and nursing law. Conclusions The factors of study demand and autonomous learning are key to formulate effective normalized training procedure. By carrying out multi-level training can we satisfy the study demand for different level nurses, improve their autonomous learning abilities and speed up the efficiency of acquiring knowledge for nurses.

To evaluate the inhibitory effects of long antisense RNA on HBV replication in HepG2.2.15 cells. The coding region of HBV S gene was cloned into pTARGET vector in sense and antisense orientations and the recombinant plasmids were transfected into HepG2.2.15 cells which were divided into HBS2 (antisense RNA) group, HBS4 (sense RNA) group and control group. HBsAg and HBeAg in the culture supernate were detected by ELISA. The HBV DNA in the supernate was quantified by real-time PCR. After treatment, the levels of HBsAg in HepG2.2.15 cell supernatants of three groups were 0.621+/-0.027, 3.399+/-0.018 and 2.232+/-0.187 respectively; the levels of HBeAg were 0.749+/-0.019, 1.548+/-0.025 and 1.570+/-0.044 respectively and the levels of HBV DNA were 1.597+/-0.082, 3.381+/-0.297 and 3.610+/-0.063 respectively. The expressions of HBsAg and HBeAg and the HBV DNA level in HBS2 group were remarkably reduced as compared to the control (Z = -2.309, P value is less than 0.05); whereas the sense plasmid transfection (HBS4) did not affect HBeAg (Z = -0.866) and HBV DNA (Z = -1.155) levels in the culture supernate but slightly increased the HBsAg level (Z = -2.309). Antisense RNA might be a useful tool to repress HBV replication.

OBJECTIVETo explore the pharmacokinetics of amphotericin B (AMB) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) during continuous intrathecal administration of AMB for treatment of cryptococcal neoformans meningitis (CNM).

METHODSThe concentration of AMB in the CSF was measured using reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) in 3 patients receiving continuous intrathecal infusion of AMB for CNM.

RESULTSAMB concentrations in the CSF of the 3 patients exceeded the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of AMB against Cryptococcus neoformans. The concentration-time curve showed that AMB concentration in the CSF underwent obvious variations on the first day of intrathecal infusion and after additional AMB doses, but maintained a stable level (0.61-1.21 µg/ml) on the next day.

CONCLUSION[corrected] Continuous intrathecal administration of AMB can enhance the drug concentration in the CSF and maintain a stable and effective drug level for treatment of CNM.
