OBJECTIVETo observe protective effects of Schisandra extract (SE) on embryotoxicity and reproductive toxicity of early pregnant rats exposed to Benzo[a]pyrene (Bap).

METHODSPregnant rat model was prepared using periodic screening cage method. Totally 50 female pregnant SD rats were divided into five groups by randomized block design according to the weight, i.e., the BaP model group, the low dose SE group, the middle dose SE group, the high dose SE group, the normal control group, 10 rats in each group. Rats in the BaP model group were administered with BaP at a daily dose of 2 mg/kg by gastrogavage. Rats in low, middle, and high dose SE groups were administered by gastrogavage with BaP (at a daily dose of 2 mg/kg) plus SE at a daily dose of 40, 200, and 1 000 mg/kg, respectively. Equal volume of olive oil was administered to rats in the normal control group by gastrogavage. All medication was performed for 8 successive days. Changes of rat body weight in each period were observed. The uterus embryonic total quality and ovary quality were measured, and organ index calculated. The number of corpus luteum, the number of embryo implantation, and the number of absorbed embryo were statistically calculated respectively. The implantation rate and the absorbed embryos rate were calculated. Serum levels of human chorionic gonadotrophin β (β-HCG) and progesterone (PROG) were detected by ELISA.

RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, the weight of 9-day pregnant rats, the number of embryo implantation, the uterus embryonic total index, ovary index, serum levels of β-HCG and PROG all decreased in the Bap model group with significant difference (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Compared with the Bap model group, body weight, the uterus embryonic total index, and the PROG level increased in 3 dose SE groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Ovary index and serum β-HCG increased in middle and high dose SE groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The number of implantation obviously increased in the high dose SE groups (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONSE could reduce the embryotoxicity and reproductive toxicity of early pregnant rats exposed to Benzo[a]pyrene.

We investigated the distribution characteristics of Yersinia enterocolitica in Ningxia ,China .In accordance with the requirements of the National Yersinia enterocolitica Disease Monitoring Scheme ,Y .enterocolitica were isolated from differ‐ent kinds of specimens collected in Ningxia in 2008 to 2013 .Then they were serotyped and detected for virulence gene and ana‐lyzed the pulsed‐field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) in Chinese CDC .It was found that 173 strains were isolated from various types of 9 643 specimens ,and the detection rate was 1 .79% .There were statistical differences among detection rates in differ‐ent years and in different specimens (P<0 .01) .Pathogenic serotypes O∶3 and O∶9 carried ail gene and ystA gene were de‐tected from specimens of pigs and diarrhea patient .Non‐pathogenic serotypes O∶5 and O∶8 and non‐typeable strains didn't carry ail gene and ystA gene ,and also can't be detected from swine ,cattle ,sheep ,chickens and dogs .In conclusion ,Y .en‐terocolitica was widely distributed in Ningxia and pigs were the dominant animal host .In all pathogenic serotypes ,the highest proportion was O∶3 following by O∶9 .It was no time and regional difference in the distribution of that in Ningxia ,China .

Objective To explore the effect of different scan parameters and algorithm on detection of iron deposition with coexsiting fat by dual soure CT.Methods One ml homogenate of normal rat liver tissues and 1 ml iron dextran solution with different concentrations (50.000,25.000,12.500,6.250,3.125,and 1.560 mg/ml) were fully mixed respectively.The 6 test tubes were scanned by dual source CT in the mode of dual energy to gain the iron specific slope.Different concentrations of dextran iron(50,40,30,20,10,and 5 mg/ml),triglyceride(volume percent were 60％,30％,and 10％,respectively),and homogenate of normal rat liver tissues were mixed.All 18 tubes were scanned by dual source CT with 80-140 kVp and 100-140 kVp,and all these images were reconstructed by filtered back projection (FBP) and singogram affirmed iterative reconstruction(SAFIRE).Raw data were reconstructed by filtering and iterative method.△H value (△H =CT value low kVp-CT valuehigh kVp) and overlay value of three substances decomposition algorithm were measured and analyzed by t test.The Spearmen correlation was applied in iron concentration and measured values.Results Iron specific slope was found to be 1.9392.When 80-140 kVp and 100-140 kVp were applied,△H values were (198 ± 28) and (152 ± 18) HU by using FBP reconstruction,and △H values were (191 ± 23) and (149 ± 17) HU by using SAFIRE reconstruction.The differences were statistically significant(t =-2.934 and-3.492,P =0.032 and 0.017).Overlay values were (381 ±54) and (236 ±31) HU by using FBP reconstruction,and overlay values were (399 ±53) and (276 ± 43) HU by using SAFIRE reconstruction.The differences were also statistically significant (t =-5.739 and-7.949,P =0.002 and 0.001).Under the same energy portfolio but different reconstruction,both △H and overlay value showed no differences (P ＞ 0.05).Except for the conditions with 100-140 kVp tube voltage,△H had no correlation with iron solution concentration (P ＞ 0.05) under either FBP or SAFIRE reconstruction.When other reconstruction methods and tube voltage combination were used,overlay or △H value showed correlation with iron solution concentrations (r value ranged from 0.959 to 0.997,P values ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Different energy portfolios of dual source CT will act on the measured value of iron deposition.The measured values will not be affected by ways of reconstruction.For the detection of iron coexisting in fat,overlay values of material decomposition algorithm is better.

Objective To investigate the current status of coal-burning endemic fluorosis and the fluoride content in foods and drinking water in Hongya County,Sichuan Province.Methods Dental fluorosis and urinary fluoride were suveyed in children of 8～12 years old in two schools which repectively located in Gaomiao and Wawushan Town.The adults above 20 years old underwent clinical examination.At the same time,fifty adults above 20 years old in Garden Village were chosen to take forearm and calf X-ray films to find out the evidence of skeletal fluorosis.The content of fluoride in food such as bacon,corn,dry capsicum in Sanxing Village in Gaomiao Town and Futian Village in Wawushan Town as well as drinking water in five families in Sanxing Village were determined.Results The dental fluorosis rate of children was 40.76%(161/395),the dental fluorosis index was 0.86 in Gaomiao Town.The dental fluorosis rate of children was 14.36%(82/571),the dental fluorosis index was 0.31 in Wawushan Town.The medium value of the urine fluoride was 0.81 mg/L.ranged 0.16～3.89 mg/L.The positive rate oi the clinical examination of skeletal fluorosis was 5.27%(27/512),the X-rays detective rate was 4.00%(2/50).The medium value in bacon,corn,dry capsicum were 6.00,0.64,1.49 mg/kg.The averaged content of the fluoride in drinking water(0.14±0.06)mg/L of local household was within the eligible limitation.Conclusions It is currently a mild endemic disease in Hongya Country,its incidence is reduced apparently,pathogenetic environmental fluoride content is reduced.The main source of fluoride is from the preserved ham contaminated with fluoride,which is epidemiologically significant in endemic area of Hongya County.Defluoriding countermeasures should be taken in the endemic areas.

Objective To explore the related factors of poorly controlled blood pressure of patient in maintenance hemodialysis and take intervening measures accordingly.Methods Among 122 cases of patients with maintenance hemodialysis,107 cases of patients had hypertension,including 61 cases with poorly controlled blood pressure.Those 61 patients were analyzed retrospectively for the related factors.Results Incidence rate of hypertension in patients in maintenance hemodialysis was 87.70％.57％ of the hypertension patients were poorly controlled. Six related factors found by the multi-factor logistic regression analysis are promote erythropoietin application ( 1 U/w) ( P =0.041 )、Kt/V ( P =0.006 ) 、body weight is more 10％ than dry weight (P =0.000) 、dry body mass did not meet ( P =0.006 ) 、the number of weekly dialysis ( P =0.024 )、whether prescribed medication( P =0.000 ).Conclusions Taking appropriate interventions for patients in maintenance hemodialysis with detailed guidance on patients and family members would effectively control blood pressure and get patients the knowledge of medical,nursing and self-caring,which promotes the active treatment and self-care.

OBJECTIVETo assess the therapeutic effect of ozone therapy combined with sulfasalazine sulfasalazine delivered via a colon therapy system in the treatment of distal ulcerative colitis.

METHODSThis prospective randomized controlled clinical trial involved 54 patients with mild to moderate active distal ulcerative colitis, who were randomize into 3 groups in accordance with the inclusion criteria (n=18). Each group was given sulfasalazine at the daily dose of 2 g, and in colon therapy group and ozone therapy plus sulfasalazine therapy group, sulfasalazine was delivered via a colon therapy system on a daily basis; the control group received sulfasalazine via retention enema only. At 0, 2, and 4 weeks of the treatment, colonoscopy was performed to evaluate the disease activity, and biopsy samples were obtained at 0 and 4 weeks for histological examination.

RESULTSIn comparison with colon therapy group and control group, ozone therapy plus colon therapy resulted in more rapid alleviation of the clinical symptoms and better histological improvement without any adverse effects.

CONCLUSIONOzone therapy combined with sulfasalazine delivered via a colon therapy system is feasible and effective for treatment of ulcerative colitis.

Objective: To explore the influence of self-determination theory (SDT) on adolescent physical activity promotion. Methods: Six electronic databases including EBSCO host, Science Direct, Sports Discus, Springer Link, Pubmed, and Web of Science. The search period is from all databases to all relevant documents from the start date to May 18, 2019. An exhaustive collection of studies was selected to assess the relationship between motivation and physical activity in children and adolescents. Results: A total of 41 studies met the inclusion criteria. The overall level of self-determination motivation had a weak to moderate promotion of physical activity level (ρ=0.21-0.31). Autonomous forms of motivation (internal motivation and identification regulation) had a moderate role in promoting physical activity(ρ=0.27-0.38), while controlled forms of motivation (ie, introversion regulation and external motivation) had weak inhibition(ρ=-0.17--0.03). Lack of motivation showed a weak inhibitory effect on physical activity(ρ=-0.21--0.11). Conclusion Self-determination motives are significatly correlated with continued health promotion behaviors. Therefore, it is an effective method to promote physical health among children and adolescents with self-determination motive as an objective in the intervention.

AIM: To investigate the effects of norepinephrine(NE)on vascular endothelial cell damage in-duced by lipopolysaccharides(LPS).METHODS: Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC-12)were cultured with LPS at 100 mg/L to establish the cell damage model.Real-time PCR and Western blot were used to determine the ex-pressions of VE-cadherin at mRNA and protein levels.The levels of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-2 and IL-10 in culture supernatant were measured by ELISA.The reactive oxygen species(ROS)production in the endothelial cells was detected by ROS as-say kit.RESULTS: LPS decreased both mRNA and protein levels of VE-cadherin accompanied by increased levels of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-2 and intracellular ROS,and decreased level of IL-10 in the endothelial cells.NE reversed the expres-sion of VE-cadherin at mRNA and protein levels under the condition of LPS treatment in a dose -dependent manner,and al-so alleviated the intracellular oxidative stress.CONCLUSION: NE reverses the endothelial damage induced by LPS, which may be related to the up-regulation of VE-cadherin level and the decreases in oxidative stress and inflamatory media-tors.

Objective One typical case with stress cardiomyopathy was reported and the current knowledge of the syndrome was reviewed to improve relevant knowledge.Methods A 71-year-old female patient presented dyspnea and chest pain due to emotional stress.ECG,echocardiography,selective coronary artery angiography,left ventriculography,~(99)Tc~m-MIBI single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT),~(18)F-FDG SPECT and MRI were performed.Results Electrocardiogram at admission showed ST segment elevation and T wave inversion in leads V1—V4.Pathological Q wave occurred 1 week later,it disappeared 1 month later however and severe T wave inversion occurred.Normal or slightly elevated cardiac enzymes in the blood were found during the course.Left ventriculogram at admission showed left ventricular apical ballooning with LVEF of 30%.The ballooning volume was about 3/4 of left ventricular volume, without any corresponding coronary artery diseases found in coronary angiogram.The abnormal apical ballooning decreased significantly in the follow-up left ventriculogram performed one month later.The LVEF rose up to 63.6%.~(99)Tc~m-MIBI and ~(18)F-FDG SPECT showed mismatch of perfusion and metabolism in the corresponding region,indicating presence of viable myocardium.MRI showed left ventricular apical ballooning without perfusion defect and late enhancement,indicating viability of corresponding myocardium. Conclusions Emotional stress can cause transient left ventricular apical ballooning called"stress cardiomyopathy".Either ~(99)Tc~m-MIBI SPECT associated with ~(18)F-FDG SPECT or delayed enhancement MRI plays an important role in identification of myocardial viability,which can efficiently guide clinical treatment.
