Cutaneous wound healing is a complicated multiatep process with numerous mediators that act in a network of activation and inhibition processes. Nonhealing chronic wounds decrease the quality of Life. Recombinant growth factors, currently used in clinic, fail to provide a sustained repair function at the wound due to their inadequate biological availability and transient half-time. Recent attention has focused on gene therapy, which might become a significant treatment modality for those wound healing pathologies refractory to other wound management approaches. This review discusses the potentials and limitations of current genetherapy for the treatment of wounds, current ongoing clinical trials, and possible future directions in this exciting field.

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation surgical intervention of complicated cataract in patients with uveitis.
●METHODS:Retrospective study. A total of 57 cases (57 eyes ) with complicated cataract with uveitis were involved in the study from Jan. 2015 to Dec. 2015. All cases underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation surgery successfully. The postoperative reaction, effect, complications and so on were retrospectively analyzed after phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation surgery. The date of visual outcome was analyzed using Non - parametric Wilcoxon test.
●RESULTS: lris were bleed in 21 eyes ( 37%) , 4 eyes ( 7%) with posterior capsule rapture and posterior chamber intraocular lens was not implanted in 4 eyes ( 7%) . The uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ) was significantly increased after surgery. The UCVA of 8 eyes (14%) were 0. 1 or better before surgery, and the UCVA of 42 eyes (74%) were 0. 1 or better 3mo after surgery, the difference was statistically significant ( Z=23. 42, P<0. 001). The corneal edema (17 eyes, 30%), uveitis (2 eyes, 4%) and intraocular hypertension ( 1 eyes, 2%) were appeared in postoperative 1d. The corneal edema (3 eyes, 5%) was appeared in postoperative 1wk. The uveitis ( 1 eyes, 2%) was appeared in postoperative 1mo. The corneal edema (1 eyes, 2%), uveitis (2 eyes, 4%) , intraocular hypertension ( 1 eyes, 2%) and after-cataract ( 3 eyes, 5%) were appeared in postoperative 3mo.
● CONCLUSION: The phacoemulsification combined intraocular lens implantation surgical intervention of complicated cataract in patients with uveitis has good effect and fewer complications.

The treatments for insomnia after stroke were various in recent years, including acupuncture with its distinguishing feature. It’s reviewed and summarized that experimental researches on Chinese and English databases about acupuncture treatment of insomnia after stroke in recent 10 years. Clinicians had chosen different acupuncture therapies for insomnia after stroke according to yinyang, zangfu, meridians, opening and closing of qi activity. Although those acupuncture therapies had achieved obvious clinical effects, they were deficient in experimental design and methodology.

Objective To compare the reproducibility and reliability of facial soft tissue landmarks using a direct and an indirect placement methods in facial three-dimensional (3D) soft tissue assessment.Methods 3D coordinates of 37 soft tissue landmarks were obtained respectively in 35 normal healthy volunteers from 3D optical capture system and Materialise's interactive medical image control system (Mimics).Landmarks were affixed on the cutaneous surface (direct method) and marked on the 3D reconstructed craniofacial model (indirect method).Intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs) and paired t-tests were used to compare the reliability and reproducibility of facial landmarks between two placement methods.Results For the direct placement method,86.5 ％ landmarks had an ICC higher than 0.75.For the indirect placement method,75.7％ landmarks had an ICC higher than 0.75.The inter-observer variability using the direct placement method was (1.259±0.566) mm,which was significantly smaller (P＜0.05) than (1.420±0.638) mm obtained by the indirect placement method.Conclusions Compared with indirect method,direct method has higher reliability and reproducibility in evaluating facial soft tissue.

Urinary tract infection complicated with urinary tract calculi( lithangiuria)is one of the most common diseases causing serious urinary sepsis and septic shock. Recent studies show that the accurate diagnosis,rational use of antibiotics and timely treatment of complications are the key to treatment success. In this article,the latest progress and the treatment strategies for urinary tract infections complicated with lithangiuria are explored.

Objective To investigate the cerebral regularity of dynamic charge and the correlation with intracranial pressure(ICP),clinical seriousness and prognosis on acute stage of intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) patients by transcranial Doppler(TCD).Methods 54 patients with first acute supratentorial ICH 24h after onset were studied.All patients were dynamic evaluated by beside TCD on 1st,7th,21st day.The correlation of TCD with ICP,MESSS were studied.Results On the 1st day the TCD abnormity of the acute phase of the ICH occurred mainly in the anterior circulation of cerebrum,in which the cardinal manifestation was high-resistance,low-flow velocity blood waveforms,especially on the bleeding side.Continuous TCD monitoring revealed the low velocity of the cerebral blood flow increased;meanwhile the high value of PI decreased gradually and the TCD monitoring was within the normal range three weeks after the attack.The ICP had negative correlation with the VmMCA,positive correlation with the PI value.MESSS scale had negative correlation with the VmMCA,positive correlation with the PI value.Conclusions The TCD examination can be used to monitor the cerebral hemodynamics of the patients suffering from intracerebral hemorrhage.The combination of fVEP and TCD facilitate the evaluation of the dynamic changes of ICP so as to instruct lowering the ICP.

APOBEC3 is a class of cytidine deaminase, which is considered as a new member of the innate immune system, and APOBEC3G belongs to this family. The research about APOBEC3G is a new direction of innate immune defense mechanism against virus. APOBEC3G has the restrictive activity on many viral replications, which deaminates dC to dU in the viral genome and then induces extensive hypermutation. APOBEC3G can also interrupt viral replication at several phases such as reverse transcription, replication, nucleocapsid and so on by non-deamination mechanisms. However, virus can encode viral proteins to counteract the restriction activity of APOBEC3G. Elucidation of the antagonistic interaction between APOBEC3G and the virus will be contributed to development of new antiviral drugs in the future.

Objective To evaluate the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma.Methods The clinical,pathologic and follow-up data of 39 cases with ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma were analyzed retrospectively.Results 39 patients with ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma had a median age of 45 years at diagnosis.The percentage of patients on stage Ⅰ was 59 ％ (23/39),and all patients had the symptoms of ovarian cystic neoplasm or solid mass.There were 24,12,3 cases in grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,respectively.Among 15 cases recieved appendectomy,2 cases were appendix infiltrated.The 3-year survival rate of the patients was 63 ％.The result of single-factor analysis showed that the FIGO stage and residual disease after surgery were the correlative factors both in progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).The result of Cox proportional hazards regression model analysis indicated that residual disease after surgery was the independent prognostic factor of ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma.Conclusion Ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma has a better prognosis than other pathological types of ovarian epithelial carcinoma.Appendectomy should be suggested during the surgical treatment of ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma.The FIGO stage and residual disease after surgery are the important prognostic factors of ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma.

Objective To explore the types and drug resistance of pathogens in patients with type Ⅰ incision surgical site infection in orthopedics department.Methods Patients with type Ⅰ incision surgical site infection in orthopedics department at Peking University Third Hospital from January 2005 to December 2013 were retrospectively collected.Clinical characteristics of patients,distribution and drug resistance of pathogens were analyzed.Results A total of 58.2 thousands patients with type Ⅰ incision surgical site were hospitalized from January 2005 to December 2013 in orthopedics department,and among them 442 patients had infection in the type Ⅰ incision surgical site.The infection rate was 0.8％.Infection was mainly observed in elderly patients.The most common diseases were lumbar canal stenosis (21.7％),cervical spondylosis (20.6％) and lumbar intervertebral disc herniation (14.0％).A total of 453 pathogenic strains were detected,of which 52.9％ were gram-positive bacteria,45.5％ were gramnegative bacteria and 1.6 ％ were fungi.The common pathogens were Staphylococcus aureus (25.2 ％),Staphylococcus epidermidis (14.1 ％),Escherichia coli (11.5 ％),Enterobacter cloacae (7.3 ％),Pseudomonas aeruginosa (6.2 ％) and Acinetobacter baumannii (6.0 ％).The percentage of Meticillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was 23.7％ and the percentage of Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE) was 43.8％.Vancomycin or linezolid-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or Staphylococcus epidermidis were not detected.Proportion of extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) producing strains in Escherichia coli was 53.8％,and proportion of ESBL-producing strains in Klebesiella pneumonia was 50.0％.The resistance rates to impenem and meropenem of the three different species in Enterobacteriaceae,including Escherichia coli,Enterobacter cloacae and Klebsiella pneumonia,were 0.Resistance rates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to cefoperazone-sulbactam,piperacillin-tazobactam were less than 10 ％.Resistance rate of Acinetobacter baumannii to minocyline was 11.1％ and resistance rates of it to other drugs were more than 20％.Conclusions The rate of type Ⅰ incision surgical site infection in orthopedics department is low.Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria each account for half of the pathogens.The proportion of resistant pathogens is high and empirical treatment is needed to cover these pathogens.
