1.Clinical Characteristics of Extrapulmonary Complication Induced by Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Infection Complicating with Infectious Mononucleosis Syndrome
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(16):-
Objective To approach the clinical characteristics of extrapulmonary complication induced by mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP) infection and infectious mononucleosis syndrome. Methods The MP-IgM(+), EBV- IgM(+) were determined by enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay. There were 18 cases infected with MP and infectous mononucleosis syndrome with abnormal fever, cervix lyphadenectasis, pharyngitis, liver and spleen intumescence, lung infection, and so on.They were analyzed by reviewing. Results There were 8 cases(44.4%) with extrapulmonary complication, among them 3 cases(16.6%) with liver injury,1 case (5.56%) with heart injury,2 cases(11.1%) with both heart and liver injuries,1 case(5.56%) with urinary system injury (nephritis), 1 case (5.56%) with nervous system injury (encephalitis). The complication usually arised 1 week after primary affection, but had no typical clinical symptoms. There was only 1 case with encephalitis who expressed the symptom of nervous system symptom firstly, and was clinically dia- gnosed by assistant examinations. All the cases recovered after 3 weeks′ treatment with macrolides, 5-7 days with ganciclovir, and also with regular complication and support treatments. Conclusions The incidence of extrapulmonary complication induced by MP infection and infectous mononucleosis syndrome is higher than that by the single infection, and its clinical symptom isn′t obvious and is easy to be covered by original illness. And a few showing the extrapulmonary as the first symptom is easily mistakenly diagnosed .As a result, the prognosis is favorable if we make subsidiary inspection and diagnosis as soon as possible and give it with regular treatment.

International Eye Science 2017;17(6):1123-1126
AIM: To explore curative effect of different drugs in treatment of senile wet macular degeneration.METHODS: We selected 98 patients 98 eyes with senile wet macular degeneration from July 2014 to January 2016 in our hospital as the research subjects. They were divided into control group and research group as the administration sequence, 49 patients in each group.Research group was treated with ranibizumab. The control group was treated with Conbercept. Both once per month and for 3mo.RESULTS: Uncorrected visual acuity, central macular retinal thickness and area of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) leakage before treatment of the two groups were not statistically different (P>0.05).At 1, 3 and 6mo after treatment, the uncorrected visual acuity was improved significantly, the central macular retinal thickness decreased significantly, and the area of CNV leakage decreased significantly (P<0.05).The differences on uncorrected visual acuity at 1mo after treatment, central macular retinal thickness and area of CNV were statistically significant (P<0.05), while those indexes at 3 and 6mo after treatment was not significant (P>0.05).In the follow up period, there was no severe complications in the two groups, such as persistent high intraocular pressure, retinal detachment or tear, endophthalmitis, or other systemic complications. There were subconjunctival hemorrhage in 10 eyes in research group, 8 eyes in control group, all of which recovered within 15d after treatment.Transient elevated intraocular pressure occurred in 7 eyes in research group, in 9 eyes in control group. The complication rates of the two groups were not significant (P>0.05).CONCLUSION: In the clinical treatment of senile patients with wet macular degeneration, treatment effect of Conbercept is not obvious at the early stage, but the effect is equivalent later and more economical.

AlM: To compare the anterior segment measurements derived from optical low coherence reflectometer ( Lenstar LS900 ) and combined Scheimpflug - Placido disk topographer ( Sirius) .
METHODS: ln this study, we enrolled healthy myopic subjects 54 ( 87 eyes ) . The central corneal thickness (CCT), anterior chamber depth (ACD), flat keratometry ( FK) readings , steep keratometry ( SK ) readings and white to white ( WTW ) were measured by LS900 and Sirius. Evaluation and analysis were performed using paired t tests, the Pearson correlation, and Bland-Altman analyses.
RESULTS: The CCT and ACD measurements were significantly lower whereas FK, SK and WTW measurements were higher with LS900 (P<0. 001). Mean differences were -6. 11 ± 6. 32μm,-0. 09 ± 0. 07mm, 0. 18 ± 0. 25D, 0. 21 ± 0. 36D and 0. 25 ± 0. 39mm with statistical significant (P<0. 01). Pearson correlation analysis showed high correlation between the 2 devices for all measurements (P<0. 001). On Bland-Altman analysis, 95% limits of agreement for all measurements were 6. 26 to -18. 49μm; 0. 04 to 0. 22mm; 0. 68 to 0. 32D; 0. 92 to 0. 50D and 1. 00 to 0. 5mm.
CONCLUSlON: Anterior segment parameters evaluated with LS900 and Sirius systemare correlated well and achieve good agreement. However, there are significantly statistical differences which may be caused by the different measurement modes, so they may not be interchangeable use under certain clinical circumstances.

Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(1):23-26
Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of NF-κB and Pglycoprotein(P-gp) in cervical cancer tissue before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT). Methods The mRNA and the protein expression levels of NF-κB and P-gp were determined by Real time-PCR and immunohistochemical assay respectively in cancer specimens from 40 cevical cancer patients, which were collected before and after NACT. Results The mRNA expression levels of NF-κB were 50. 340 ± 0. 780 and 67. 595 ± 0. 914 before and after NACT respectively, which showed significant difference statistically ( t = -73. 384 ,P < 0. 01 ). We also found significant difference in the comparison between MDR1 mRNA expression before and after NACT(45. 800 ±0. 636 vs 62. 381 ±0. 743 ,t = -66. 582,P <0. 01 ). The positive rate of NF-κB protein expression before and after NACT were 50% ( 20/40 ), 80% ( 32/40 ) respectively, which showed significant difference statistically( χ2 = 7. 912, P = 0. 005 ). The positive rate of P-gp protein expression after NACT was significantly higher than that before NACT [ 40% ( 16/40 ) vs 70% ( 28/40 ), χ2 = 7. 273, P = 0. 007 ]The mRNA and protein expressions of NF-κB were positively correlated with those of P-gp before and after NACT( r = 0. 408,r = 0. 327 respectively, Ps < 0. 05 ). Conclusion NF-κB and P-gp may play an important role in multi-drug resistance of cervical carcinoma. Chemotherapy drugs in our NACT strategy may induce the activation of NF-κB and multi-drug resistance. Activation of NF-κB may correlate with multi-drug resistance mediated by P-gp.

Method 424 married men operating radar constantly and 204 men as control were invited to complete the interview questionnaire on reproduction and offspring health. Results Incidence of abnormal sexual function in the radar group was 23.8%, while it was 14.7% in controls (P

Objective To study the changes in semen quality and levels of sex reproductive hormones in servicemen constantly exposed to radar. Method The quality of semen was analyzed with the aid of the WlTJ-9000 computer-assisted semen analysis system and the levels of sex hormones were determined with radioimmunoassay in 64 servicemen constantly exposed to radar. Results Compared to control group, semen volume, pH value, sperm density and sperm motility in radar-exposed persons were reduced. No significant difference was observed in semen viscosity, sperm viability rate, morphology, acrosomal integrity rate, and hormone levels between these two groups. Conclusions Microwave non-heating effect had adverse effect on the quality of semen, producing sub-clinical injuries.
