The mechanism of chromium accumulation and microstructure transformation of the fused yeast were studied in this paper.The result showed that the process of Cr6+ reduction and adsorption was accom-panied by the H+ consumption.The main adsorptive groups on the strain surface included amino,hydroxyl,phosphate group and amide,among which phosphate group played vital role in the chromium accumulation.The removal rate of chromium and reduction rate of hexavalent chromium declined 70% and 46%,respec-tively,when phosphate group was masked.During the adsorption process the chromium ions complexed on the surface of fused yeast was transported into the cell wall and combined with inclusion to form steady spe-cies and this took 90 min to reach the equilibrium.The biosorption and reduction of Cr on the cell surface would alter microstructure of cell surface,reduce cell membrane potential and increase cell membrane per-meability.

In order to solve the adhesion and the softening problems of traditional Chinese medicine extract during spray drying, a new method of adding dehumidified air into spray drying process was proposed, and the storage stability conditions of extract powder could be predicted. Kouyanqing extract was taken as model drug to investigate on the wet air (RH = 70%) and dry air conditions of spray drying. Under the dry air condition, the influence of the spray drying result with different air compression ratio and the spray-dried powder properties (extract powder recovery rate, adhesion percentage, water content, angle of repose, compression ratio, particle size and distribution) with 100, 110, 120, 130, 140 °C inlet temperature were studied. The hygroscopic investigation and Tg value with different moisture content of ideal powder were determined. The water activity-equilibrium moisture content (aw-EMC) and the equilibrium moisture content-Tg (EMC-Tg) relationships were fitted by GAB equation and Gordon-Taylor model respectively, and the state diagram of kouyanqing powder was obtained to guide the rational storage conditions. The study found that in the condition of dry air, the extract powder water content decreased with the increase of air compression ratio and the spray drying effect with air compression ratio of 100% was the best performance; in the condition of wet air, the extract powder with high water content and low yield, and the value were 4.26% and 16.73 °C, while, in the dry air condition the values were 2.43% and 24.86 °C with the same other instru- ment parameters. From the analysis of kouyanqing powder state diagram, in order to keep the stability, the critical water content of 3.42% and the critical water content of 0.188. As the water decreased Tg value of extract powder is the major problem of causing adhesion and softening during spray drying, it is meaningful to aid dehumidified air during the process.

The content of benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC) which as the enzymatic hydrolysis product of benzyl glucosinolate through thioglucosidase was determined by HPLC. The content of benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC) which as the enzymatic hydrolysis product of benzyl glucosinolate through thioglucosidase was determined by HPLC. The chromatography condition was as follows: Kaseisorb LC ODS 2000 (4.6 mm x 150 mm, 5 min) column with the mobile phase of acetonitrile(A)-water( B) under gradient elution (0-5 min, 3%-8% A; 5-9 min, 8%-48% A; 9-23 min, 48%-62% A; 23-28 min, 62%-99% A); the flow rate was 1.0 mL x min(-1) with 10 microL injection volume; detection wavelength was 246 nm and temperature of column was 40 degrees C. The content of benzyl glucosinolate was in the range of 10.76-17.91 g x L(-1). The method is simple, accurate and good reproducibility which can be used for the determination of benzyl glucosinolate in Lepidium meyenii, effectively.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the myocardium damage of myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) and the impact on regional left ventricular mechanics by imaging and pathology techniques.Methods Eleven open-chest animal models of Beagle were employed to collect the short-axis views of mitral annular,papillary muscle and apical level of three complete cardiac cycles using gray-scale imaging at the baseline and blank irradiation 5 min later(transmitting frequency 1.7/3.4 M Hz,mechanical index 1.0).After that,5 ml of SonoVue was gotten a shot by intravenous bolus injection,the heart was exposed by ultrasonic wave for 5 min continuously,and then the same images collected were at the point-in-time irradiation immediately,20 min,40 min and 60 min later.The short-axis circumferential strain and strain rate,radial strain and strain rate were measured and calculated by EchoPAC multi-parameter workstation,meanwhile including conventional of cardiac function.All the dogs were killed after the experiments and the myocardium was harvested for HE staining and observed with transmission electron microscope for the tissue microstructure.Results①Conventional parameters of cardiac function:there was no significant difference before and after MCE in the heart rate,blood pressure,ejection fraction,left ventricular end-systolic volume and end-diastolic volume,stroke volume,cardiac output,mitral flow spectrum prior to the E/A,tissue Doppler mitral annular e/a and E/e ( P ＞0.05).During the whole process of experiment,the dogs’ vital signs were stable.②Compared the segmental circumferential strain and strain rate,radial strain and strain rate between baseline and each treatment groups,these parameters had a trend of increase in most segments,but the difference was not statistically significant in most segments (P ＞0.05).③HE staining at the light microscope demonstrated a small amount of myocardial cell infiltration of inflammatory cells near the outer membrane (21.2％),and very few part of the muscle fibers dissolved and fractured (6.1％).④The section of transmission electron microscope showed all the structures were normal except that a small amount of endothelial cells were mild swelling,some red blood cells were leaked,some myofilaments were regional dissolved,the relevance ratio were 28.6 ％,42.9 ％ and 21.4 ％ respectively,and the abnormal area was less than 10％ of the entire field of vision.ConclusionsMCE has no significant impact for the global function of heart and the regional mechanical state,and furthermore there is no serious pathological damage on the myocardium.

Objective To investigate decision making under risk in patients with antisocial personality disorder(ASPD).Methods The game of dice task (GDT) was a commonly used measure of decision making under risk.31 ASPD patients and 33 healthy controls (HC) were investigated by GDT with explicit probability.Results ASPD patients performed poorly in the entire task.ASPD selected more risky options (ASPD:10.06 ±5.26,HC:5.42 ± 3.29,t =4.201,P ＜ 0.01) compared with healthy controls.The most frequent choice made by ASPD patients was two numbers.Accordingly,the most frequent choice made by HC group was three numbers(one number:the median of ASPD patients was 1 (1-8),the median of HC was 1 (0-2.5),Z =-2.295,P =0.022) ;three numbers:ASPD:4.77 ±4.23;HC:6.79 ±3.43; t=-2.100,P=0.04;four numbers:ASPD:3.06 ±3.53;HC:5.82 ± 3.41 ; t =3.176,P=0.002).The frequency of choosing the risky options had correlation with the rate of using negative feedback(r =-0.613,P ＜ 0.01),impulsiveness (r =0.481,P =0.006) and the results of Stroop test (r =0.566,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion Main results reveal that patients with ASPD make risky decisions significantly more often than the HC.Moreover,they show lack of capacity to advantageously utilize feedback,and correlation with executive function,impulsiveness,and negative feedback.

Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the determination of patulin in health foods containing hawthorn to im-prove the quality control of patulin in related health foods. Methods:An Agilent TC-C18(2)(250 mm ×4.6 mm, 5 μm) column was used with the temperature of 30℃. The mobile phase consisted of 0. 8% tetrahydrofuran and the flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 . The detection wavelength was set at 276nm. Results:The calibration curve of patulin was linear within the range of 1-20ng(r=1. 000 0), the average recovery was 92. 1% and RSD was 2. 2%(n=6). Conclusion:The method is simple, reliable and accurate, which can be used in the content determination of patulin in health foods containing hawthorn.

A method was developed for the determination of tetrodotoxin in marine organisms by high perfor-mance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry with immunoaffinity column. The samples were extracted with 1% acetic acid methanol solution and diluted with phosphate buffer at pH 7-8. After cleaned up by immuno-affinity column, the samples were analyzed by LC-MS/MS and quantitatively determined by external standard method. The chromatographic separation was performed on an ACQUITY UPLC BEH Amide column with gradient elution by using acetonitrile and 5 mol/L ammonium acetate solution containing 0. 1% formic acid as mobile phase. Detection was carried out by electrospray positive ionization mass spectrometry in the multiple reaction monitoring mode. Linear ranges of TTX was in the range of 0. 3 -20. 0 μg/L with correlation coeffi-cient more than 0. 997. The quantification limit of the method was 0. 3 μg/kg. The recoveries of standard addition for tetrodotoxin were 88. 7%-102. 3%, and the relative standard deviation was 2. 0%-6. 4%. The method could be used to identify and quantify tetrodotoxin in marine organisms with satisfactory reproducibility and sensitivity.

The incidence of deacclimatization to high altitude syndrome (DAHAS) prevailed up to 80% in highland troops, and 100% in manual workers, and severe DAHAS could significantly affects patients' health, work and life. So it is imperative to develop effective prevention and treatment measures for DAHAS. The present review analyzes effective prophylactic and therapeutic measures against DAHAS, implemented at our hospital.

OBJECTIVEHigh altitue pulmonary edema (HAPE) impacts seriously people's health at high altitude. Screening of susceptibility genes for HAPE will be used for the evaluation and protection of susceptible people.

METHODSWe performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) using Affymetrix SNP array 6.0 in 23 HAPE patients and 17 healthy controls. GO and Pathway analysis softwares were used to analyze and draw gene network.

RESULTSThirty-nine SNPs were found to be significantly different between case and control groups (P < 10(-4)). GO and Pathway analysis of 27 genes around the 39 SNPs indicated that these genes mainly participate in the regulating of cell proliferation, regulation of nitrogen compound metabolic process and G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway and so on.

CONCLUSIONIt suggests that these SNPs and genes found in this study may be associated with the susceptibility of HAPE.
