Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2010;26(14):40-41
Objective To investigate and improve the methods of nasal feeding to reduce the occurrence of complication such as diarrhea and vomiting. Methods We separated 140 patients with heavy craniocerebral injury into the control group (50 patients) and the experimental group (90 patients) according to different nasal feeding methods. For the control group traditional method was used. For the experimental group infusion pump was used to control infusion rate. The incidence of complication was compared between two groups. And within experimental group, the same nutrient solutions in respect of type and volume were infused during 10 hours, 16 hours, and 18 hours respectively. The relationship between infusion rate and the occurrence of complication was observed, analyzed and compared to seek for the most suitable enteral nutrition route which incurred the least complication. Results The incidence of diarrhea and vomiting in the experimental group was lower than that of the control group. And there were no significant differences in the occurrence of complication by using infusion pump at three different infusion rates within the experimental group. Conclusions The application of infusion pump in nasal feeding can reduce the incidence of complication and infusing nutrient solution at a slow rate was not necessary.

0.05). Conclusion:There is bigger difference process of tumor apoptosis between different cell types in the same topography site. Survivin may play adjuvant roles and Bcl-2 may play main roles in the inhibition of cell apoptosis in SCLC while the case is just reversed in NSCLC,it suggests that there were different apoptosis inducing factor and different apoptosis pathway due to different cell type in NSCLC and SCLC.

Objective To investigate the role of erythrocyte complement receptor type 1 (CR1) in the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria. Methods Venous blood samples were collected from 59 patients with chronic urticaria (including 14 cases of dermatographism and 45 chronic idiopathic urticaria) and 29 healthy human controls.Flow cytometry was carried out to quantify the expression level of CR1,and double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to determine the serum level of immunoglobulin E (IgE),complement C3,C4 and 50% complement hemolytic activity (CH50).Differences in these parameters were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and independent samples t-test,and correlation between these paramenters by Pearson correlation analysis. Results The expression level (expressed as mean fluorescence intensity per 10 000 erythrocytes) of CR1 was significantly higher in patients with dermatographism and chronic idiopathic urticaria than in the healthy controls (35.06 ± 2.06 and 29.17 ± 1.53 vs.20.46 ± 2.57,t =4.20 and 3.33,both P < 0.05),while no statistical difference was observed between the patients with dermatographism and chronic idiopathic urticaria (P > 0.05).Increased total serum IgE levels were observed in patients with dermatographism and chronic idiopathic urticaria compared with the healthy controls ((769.89 ± 123.0) μg/L and (340.09 ± 29.74) μg/L vs.(107.63 ± 88.79) μg/L,t =5.58,5.85,both P < 0.05),and in patients with dermatographism compared with those with chronic idiopathic urticaria (t =3.49,P < 0.05).For patients with chronic urticaria, there was a statistical difference in the expression level of CR1 between individuals (n=22) with total serum IgE levels ranging from 0 to 240 μg/L and those (n =17) higher than 500 μg/L (24.45 ± 10.83 vs.33.09 ± 11.86,t =3.33,P< 0.05).The total serum IgE levels were positively correlated with the level of CR1 (r =0.27,P < 0.05),but uncorrelated with that of complement C3 (r =0.16,P > 0.05) or C4 (r =-0.08,P> 0.05).The level of complement C3 was positively correlated with that of C4 (r =0.54,P < 0.01).One-way ANOVA revealed no significant difference in the serum levels of complement C3,C4,or CH50 between the patients with dermatographism, patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria and healthy controls (all P > 0.05).Conclusion CR1 is abnormally expressed in patients with chronic urticaria.

0.05). CONCLUSION:HDL of human plasma could attenuate or inhibit the decrease in BP induced by endotoxin and prolong the survival time. These results indicated that HDL has therapeutic and protective effect on rat with endotoxemia.Inhibition of TNF release might be one of mechanisms.

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of the Helicobacter pylori stool antigen (HpSA) test for detection of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection before and after treatment in children. Methods stool specimens were collected from 62 consecutive patients (4-17 years) who received 13 C-urea breath test( 13C-UBT) and/or gastroscopy for gastrointestinal symptom and 31 patients after radical cure of Hp who received 13 C-UBT within 2 days. The evaluation of Hp status was defined as positive when 13 C-UBT were positive and gastroscopic biopsy were positive. Results The sensitivity of HpSA test for the diagnosis of Hp using a cutoff value of 0.121 was 92.30% and its specificity and accuracy was 91.30% and 91.94%,respectively.sensitivity was 83.33% and its specificity was 88.00% and accuracy was 87.10% after radical cure of Hp.Conclusions The precision ratio of HpSA test is higher to diagnose Hp infection before the radical cure in children.Sensitivity and specificity after the radical cure are lower than before.

Objective To explore the atopic condition of children with stable asthma and their parents by detecting total IgE concentration in serum and collecting history. Methods Fifteen children with asthma in remission stage and 24 parents and 40 normal children were involved in this study. The concentrations of serum total IgE were measured with UniCAP Pharmacia system. The history including eczema and allergic rhinitis and asthma of children and parents were collected. Skin test with 10 kinds of inhalant allergens were taken in children with asthma. Results Of 15 children with asthma, 13 cases (86.7%)had eczema in infant stage and allergic rhinitis, 13 parents(86.7%)had allergic rhinitis or asthma. There was significant difference in the stable asthmatic children compared with parents and normal control group increased amounts of serum total lg IgE(F=68.42 P=0). There was significant difference in serum total lg IgE in patients group(2.43?0.73)kU/L compared with that in normal control group(0.72?0.54)kU/L (q=14.176 P0.05). Twelve children were positive in skin test, which were mainly dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and dermatophagoides farinae. Conclusions There is obvious congregate phenomena of atopy in the family of asthmatic children. The continuous high IgE concentration was associated with immune pathological mechanisms of atopic diseases.
